9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

Great help throughout the process

This was my first group tour and I couldn't be happier with the overall experience. Have already talked to someone who is interested in this tour in the future. Will definitely recommend and look forward to taking more tours in the future. Great job.

Robert was great driver, his local knowledge of area provided some unique perspectives.

Great job planning the tour and leading the group.

Had to rush through so missed some things

Very informative tour guide

Guide was excellent. did research and provided materials on the unit that my ancestors were in and personalized it for me.

Put locations in perspective

One of better re-enactments I have seen

Wreath laying ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Soldier was awesome. Disappointed that Arlington House wasn't open.

Best of tour. Did research and provided info on the unit my ancestors were in and pointed out where they were during the battle.

Excellent local knowledge

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

Excellent presentation. Good information. Kept us moving to see the sights. Would have liked to spend a bit more time in Bastogne, Saltzburg, and the town with the Mulberrys. A bit rushed in those communities.

Very representative of the countries that we visited. However, most of the meals had potatoes as a side dish in one form or another. I got a bit overspudded after a while. The mystery green soup at Mont St Michel had no flavor at all. I ate it, but had no idea what it was. Other than that, a good overall representation. My wife and I are not big fish eaters and she doesn't eat a lot of pork. But neither of us starved to death. It was nice to see the different types of food presentations.

Great job navigating in difficult and varied driving conditions.

Viva la Barry!

It was a great tour to provide the context of the D Day landing. One recommendation would be to either build in some more down time or break it up in a way that gives some time in Normandy outside of the tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

All the information was very thorough

The hotels got better as the trip progressed. In hindsight I would have liked the Paris hotel to be closer to the sights, but I do understand that the bus size had something to do with it

A top flight organization and I hope to go on another tour

I would recommend the tour. However, I would spend an additional day in Paris and reduce time in Bayeau and Caen.

Mont St Michel lunch was bad. French meals were average. They were better on my previous trip. Bastogne lunch was outstanding and Luxembourg and Germany were excellent

Peter was outstanding! The coach was comfortable

The guide was excellent but the logistics of the day were off a bit. It was too much to fit into one day. I would have liked a day of general travel and another day for the bus to drop us off and pick us up at specific sites.

The outside was beautiful, but the tour and inside the monastery was only average

A great place

I would have liked more time there

I would have liked more time in Obersalzburg

I loved Camille! She was knowledgeable, personable, organized and thoughtful. I would love to go on another trip with her!

A great day all the way around

A nice visit, but the tour guide took too long

The highlight of the trip

The most beautiful sight of the trip

12-day London to Normandy review

Would have preferred London hotel closer to central part of the city but understand limitations of large tour group

I enjoyed the tour immensely. It was well run and the food/accommodations were excellent. I would recommend the tour.

Food was overall excellent. My only concern was the wait time in London was so long that it cut into sightseeing/museum time. The French restaurants with their fixed menus were efficient.

USB ports at sears are nice to recharge phones between sites. A minor issue

Both were excellent.

Very helpful in accommodating my specific side trips and food restrictions.

I was worried that the tour could be cancelled but I was guaranteed that would not happen. They were great and followed through on their promise.

The people on the tour were fun and their knowledge of the Civil War made the tour even better. I would recommend the tour to anyone.

Too much food for lunches.

Andy was always ready with the coach and a safe driver. He assisted with loading the luggage well.

He was a WONDERFUL tour leader, very informative and interesting. Barry also was attentive as I exited the coach; was always there to offer a hand. He was very clear with directions (as to when we needed to depart, how the tour would go,etc)! I cannot say enough good things about Barry. TOP NOTCH ALL THE WAY!!!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

Excellent.

Excellent. It should not be called R and R though. There was not as much free time as we expected. Activity level was given a 2 and it should have been at least a 3. A couple of the members of our tour had a difficult time with the steep climbs at all of the castle's and Eagles Nest. Although I didn't have problems at the castles, the thin air made it a little difficult at Eagles Nest. Should possibly be a warning about that. I would recommend the tour to anyone who is interested in seeing Europe or in World War II. Definitely need more time at War Museum in Bastogne and in the town of Bastogne itself.

We only had one meal we didn't care for and that was at the Mercere Hotel in Paris. Little Mermaid in Caen was amazing. Lou's in Bastogne was also amazing. We thought that food at Versailles was very good but many people on our tour didn't even try it.

Andy was a great driver. There were some hairpin turns that he made book so easy. There were often times that the wifi on the bus was a problem.

Amazing! He was exceptional!

This museum is worth the entire trip. Limited time did not allow us to see the whole museum.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. Absolutely beautiful.

My boys and I did not care for Versailles.

Would have rather had more time at Bastogne War Museum.

Wish we had more time.

Didn't really feel like we saw anything from the sound of music except the convent from the bus and walked to where they shot the outside scenes of the house.

Everyone should see Neuschwanstein at least once in there life. Luckily, this was my second time.

We loved Barry! He was very knowledgeable, funny, and dealt with a difficult tour participant in a kind and professional manner that I am not sure I could have.

Very nice guy. Tour was too fast.

He was very good.

Very well organized--the tour made the most of each day. Easy access to all the sites. I really liked all the supplemental information that Camille provided to us on the bus along with the knowledge from the guides.

Always felt safe and comfortable with his driving. And he even kept the coach physically comfortable and clean at all times. Appreciated having water available all the time and constant assistance with luggage.

Her tireless dedication to our education and comfort was astounding. She enhanced the trip immeasurably.

Very entertaining.

Some hotels the A/C was not working

Great !!! and Yes I would recommend it to anyone that would be interested in a History Tour such as the one we took.

The only lunch that was not to anyone's liking was at the Versailles Castle

Peter couldn't have done a better job. Always felt safe and sound with him at the wheel.....

Best Ever and a great lunch !!

She is the most organized and professional guide I have ever had the pleasure to be with on a tour. Such a delight and always in great spirits. Very knowledgeable and resourceful. Couldn't have asked for anyone better !!! Job Well Done !!!! Thank You for sharing her with us....

The lunch left much to be desired

Did not go on that part of the tour

Funny and entertaining

Not very well prepared. The stop on the side of the street was not really necessary.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

They were all very nice and comfortable.

One other thing about the bus. It would be nice if possible to have electrical outlets and USB ports on the bus like some in Europe. General impressions are good. I have always enjoyed your tours and plan to be included in many more. Probably the next ones will be the two new Civil War tours. I would recommend your tour because of the content, the personnel, the method you use, the subject matter, the professionalism and your overall business model. But one of the main things I enjoy about your tours is the smaller groups they draw or you limit them to. I hope the busses do not get crowded and the groups too large to properly manage like other tours with other company’s tours.

Even for a box lunch they were very good. Also the first tour of four with your company that they were used. The Old Ebbitt Inn was of course the best meal, the steak was beyond words. All the others were very, very good. However the breakfasts could have been better with a couple more main items included on several of them. The breakfasts in Richmond were, however, excellent because they were in the common dining area of the hotel serving all guests and had much more to offer. Their omelette station was outstanding.

Bob was a great driver and person. He added to the tour with knowledgeable comments from time to time and his detour tour of Washington’s nighttime illuminated skyline on the way back to the hotel from supper ended the tour in a special way. Hooray for him!!!

Debra did an outstanding job. I know she had to deal with several picky complainers but she handeled their issues with a smile on her face, kind words and a professional manner and sense of responsibility. She made the tour a fun time and an enjoyable experience. With her each individual person was a special person. She was efficient, kept us on time and made sure all was well.

The presentation by the Park Ranger was excellent.

Excellent guide

N/A

To be there and stand on the ground caused me to reread “Killer Angels” from years ago. Seeing the topography makes the book come alive as you read it like never before.

Outstanding!!

Another excellent Park Ranger presentation like Harpers Ferry!

Interesting

Very worth seeing and the least unchanged of all with the roads still dirt, the number of original buildings and no encroachment of development.

Also a must see but also outstanding because of what it is and what it represents!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers R&R review

I more detailed list of what was going to he seen in Paris on the site seeing tour.

We would have preferred a different location for the hotel in Paris, but understand with the bus access it would be difficult to be located in a different part of the city.

we felt the tour was wonderful and looking back it is unbelievable all the sites we were able to see in such a short time.

The meals were good with a few exceptions, we specifically did not enjoy the meals at the restaurant near Mont St. Michel, and the meal at Versailles. we also wish we had more of a selection during the meals, but our only major suggestions would be to have a lighter lunch that doesn't take as long. We felt we were spending too much time at lunch when we could have been exploring the areas where we were eating, specifically the meal in Bastogne. The food was excellent but it took a long time to eat.

The coach was very comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, but we were disappointed in the lack of Wifi on the bus. Peter was great.

Seemed like we set in traffic more than seeing sites.

Would have preferred to see Omaha beach at low tide instead of high tide as we could not see much of the beach itself.

Museum was excellent, would have liked more time in the museum, we felt rushed.

Excellent tour guide, wish we would have had more time.

Camille gave us great advise to walk up to the top and take the elevator down. The walk up was absolutely wonderful.

She was excellent.

Would have liked more time to walk the the cemetery without the guide.

Not many issues with what the tour can control, but was disappointed none of the fountains were going in the gardens and way too many people in the palace to see very much.

We thought the tour guide was excellent and really enjoyed the tour.

Salzburg was an unexpected surprise to the tour we enjoyed it a lot.

We did not have many expectations for this tour as we have not seen the movie.

Wonderful tour.

She was great.

Good information, but but we didn't enjoy this guided tour as much do to the traffic.

11-day Fields of World War I review

Everyone has been very helpful, especially Niki, who led our Eastern Front tour in 2017 and has been very helpful in every way.

I think it is quite good. I am unusually interested in deeper information about everything, not just you tours. So while I would like more, especially detailed maps of the tour in advance, I don't think I am at all typical.

I would like to have a detailed map of our route and the places we visit, within reason. If possible, this should not be limited to a simple road map, but also maps showing the basic battlefield placement and movement. Particularly in countries other than the US, maps are a critical element of how I learn and integrate the other information on the trip. However, having said that, the information supplied before and on the tours is generally excellent.

Only adverse comment is that the Mercure Amiens was not prepared for the number of people that appeared for breakfast, due perhaps to overlapping groups. But they could have prepared better for that and avoided a chaotic situation. But the location by the Cathedral was excellent!

Very fine service from all, and excellent tour design and content.

It satisfies my desire to learn more and more about these historical large currents and events and so to appreciate the service of military members. I recommend you to all my friends who have a military and/or historical interest. I thank you for providing four great tour learning experiences for Pat and myself. I am very happy for your success and growth. You are an important part of keeping this history alive and appreciated.

The food was fine. Serving 25 people at lunch takes a lot of time from the tour. Charlie was able to reduce the time a little by getting drink orders and other things in advance, then translating that information to wait staff or perhaps even sending it on ahead. I realize we were in France and we were almost all Americans, but I would hope the restaurants could be better prepared. Having said that, I don't think anyone was very troubled by it since it was a very friendly group and the meal time together was always enjoyable. I personally would have enjoyed a little extra time at the historical sites we visited, but don't suggest I'm typical.

We had this driver before on the Bulge tour and were glad to see him again. He was exceptionally good in driving the bus and always helpful and ready with luggage, water and in any other way.

Both were fine, but Ian was genuinely exceptional.

Charlie was great!. He was totally engaged, very friendly and could not have been more willing to help us in every way or to tackle any problem or difficulty anyone had. He is exceptional.

Our guide during the first part of the tour, Ian, was truly exceptional. His English and his friendliness and personality were special---hang on to him.

Truly outstanding. So much to see and so well done, I would have liked more time here.

Very special. Well worth the time that it took.

Very good and an excellent local guide

11-day Fields of World War I review

The best

I have already recommended Procom to many of my friends. Taking my tour catalog to a friend in Settle next week.

Remember you can not please everyone..

Excellent....drove through some very difficult spaces but appeared to do it easily, carefully and safely. Was always attentive if we needed water etc.

Excellent! Especially enjoyed Ian as he stayed with us even through the evening meal.

He had everything organized, well planed and he adjusted to a lot of teasing from the tour group. He had the answers to all questions and it was clear he was trying hard to accommodate all requests.

Excellent, was so informative

Hiking through the woods really brought it alive to me,

Decided not to go through the tunnels but was glad for the hike up to them and the sights around the area. Amazed to find spent shells from 100 years ago.

Delighted to see the cathedral

highlight of the tour

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

my only problem with Hotel Wemperhardt was it did not have a setup for Tea/coffee

It is all inclusive, including tipping at restaurants. You don't need to worry about anything except having a great time and being tired from doing so much each day

my only complaint was the individual german appetizers we received at our second restaurant. I feel that so much of it was wasted. It would have been better done as family style platters so we could take what we wanted to try instead of wasting what we didn't want.

I think the coach would be better with more wifi capability and better bathroom. Gabor was great! He is hepful, respectful and what a great driver!

Henri, was also very knowledgeable but sometimes difficult to understand.

Tour Guide, Nicole was phenomenal

didn't know anything about the Gliders, it was very interesting. The guide was very knowledgeable and interesting.

this was very interesting, our Tour Guide, Bruno, was phenomenal. The Belgian soldiers were so respectful and in awe of our tour mate, Dale ( a WW11 Vet).

this was my least favorite for obvious reasons, but it was very educational and I did like the sculptures and religious buildings that were built in honor of the victims.

Very interesting, but I wish it was on a different day so that the stores were open and we could have done some shopping

Only problem was the weather, it was cloudy and hard to see how high we were. Our tour Guide, Josh was on his first Tour and did a great job.

Eric was very knowledgeable but sometimes a bit too political

Great! He was so interesting and knowledgeable!

Great, so much knowledge and made everything so interesting with little tidbits of interesting facts.

Great job for his first time, had a lot of knowledge and explained everything well. A little too prepared for his tour with all the pictures, maybe trim down a few.

11-day Fields of World War I review

The Ypres hotel was nice. The hotel in Verdun was outstanding!! I would strongly suggest keeping this hotel down the road.

I’ve now done 4 tours and this WWI one was the best. The tunnels we visited .....plus the Maginot Line was perfect. The only thing is this — we are basically on the road all day. Need to make a stop at a grocery store or so on the way back to the hotel atnthe end of the day so people can pick various things up — snacks, water, wine, etc. we get back to the hotel late and then dinner is scheduled soon after returning so there is no time to hit a store. Also, many dinners were too early. 6pm? Too early for many participants, particularly when we would arrive back at the hotel 30 mins before.

Overall, the tour was amazing and we had no worries. The tour guides were always looking out for us and always counting heads. The bus drivers were excellent. We had no worries and it was very easy to sleep. I would recommend your tour for all of the reasons stated above and because of the amount of information is amazing to learn while at the places they took place.

Every meal brought something different and made me try all new local foods that were all amazing.

I felt that seeing where the men were shot was really cool. However, the muesem was not worth the whole hour.

Very satisfied

Overall, I was very impressed. I would have eliminated the museum some of guides in favor of being able to just explore on our own. The museums had excellent English information.

Didn't like the box lunch. Everything else was super.

Outstanding drivers

A little fast on the walk. Guide was excellent.

The guide was Italian and this was her first English tour.

Wish we had more time

The guide was boring and spoke too long.

The guide was difficult to understand and spoke too long.

Very attentive!

Excellent location on the Hotel Melba but it was a little too warm without AC. Novotel was not a convenient location in relation to Munich.

I thought I knew a lot about WW2 war history but I learned so much. I love sharing some of the stories I heard from the guides.

Good choices

Excellent driver and I felt safe the entire trip. A real professional.

An outstanding historian

What an outstanding Statesman

Thanks for not taking time to guide us thru the museum/information center. It was better to walk the grounds and understand the layout of the camp.

Excellent guide

Not really much to see here but it was interesting to visit. It was a lot smaller than I had envisioned.

Really gave a good description.

I really enjoyed the guide description and layout on the sands of Omaha. It helped understand the topography.

18-day Normandy to Berlin review

Perhaps more maps of the battlefields in each region.

Not great internet except for at the Nurnberg hotel and the Mercure Omaha Beach hotel. Great clean rooms.

Great for the price and outstanding managers, drivers, and guides the three most crucial pieces for a tour. Hotels were on the higher end and so were the places we ate most days. Locations were all very well chosen and greatly guided.

A couple extra items on the menu would always be appreciated although not always feasible for 30 people. I wasn't dissatisfied by any of the locations.

Janus and Charlie are amazingly good drivers in difficult areas to bus around in. Never felt unsafe with either of them in even potentially hazardous areas.

Both were in the position I was most worried about as a good one is key to a great trip. That being said both did a phenomenally good job neither one did anything that made me displeased with them and they really tried to get you the best possible tour they could. Sitting down and talking with them at diner or lunch was always a enjoyable highlight any time it happened.

18-day Normandy to Berlin review

We loved walking around, before or after dinner, in whatever town we were staying in. In some cities, it would have been great to be closer to shopping or sights but I realize location is also a function cost.

You people are professionals and good at what you. Tour was excellent and almost like "Work" but that's what we signed up for...wanted to LEARN a lot of history. You should use me as a reference. I checked your reference with past customers before I committed and you would receive very high quality referrals from me. I too, am a business executive and I know the power of a good referral. I would, unhesitatingly travel with Barry or Milan again.

Really well done. Appreciated the time we had some choice. Nice job.

I thought I read that the coaches had on-board electrical power. I never found it. Not a big deal. Wifi was limited. I kept hitting some daily limit but was really only keeping up with email, etc. Better Wifi would be a plus for those of us working while we travel

Hamburg was least favorite city. Just not that much war exposure. Coundn't access the flak tower.

museum guide was new..not the best..not your fault

loved the castle.

Museum presentation was just too long. Almost everyone had to take a break outside.

Guide, Henri was outstanding

Nice Hotel, Great location.

guide, Rudy was outstanding

loved it

These two are stars. We are used to Disney-cruise level hospitality and these two are outstanding. I know they are both new. You are lucky to have them and their care, concern and shepherding of us was excellent. Really liked their on-board commentary. It was obvious to see them working to keep us safe, on schedule, comfortable, etc.

Cloudy..no one's fault.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Only reason i gave Novotel 4 stars is that i got used to the smaller hotels and this big hotel wasnt as personable.

Overall I would say turn key! I have wanted to do this tour for a long time and couldnt have asked for a better trip. Barry really ties everything together from tour guide to tour guide and kept everyone on schedule without seeming pushy. Charlie(bus driver) was great as well. Scheduling team was on point and answered my numerous questions as we made are way up to the big day. I have already recommended this to many of my friends.

overall very good. i went and did my own thing a couple times but it wasnt due to the food choice just a different pace.

Bus driver was amazing and very cordial. He made all of our lives easier.

the guides made the trip what it was

Rudy was amazing

Since i just read about this i wish we had more time here along with someone to tell us about the roll the Gondree cafe played.

Really enjoyed Bruno

Steve was another amazing guide

only reason i give it a 4 was because the weather didnt work out for us

the guides made the trip what it was

the guides made the trip what it was

Only reason i give this a 4 is that it was a lot of on and off for may battlefields. It may have been better to thin down the number of stops and have a little more time at each stop

Rudy was amazing

great town. I went and ate on my own and enjoyed some time to walk around and look in some stores as well as go on the beach. another hour here would have been good.

I wish there was more time here. Seemed rushed.

Excellent all the way through

Excellent again, I especially liked the historical reports sent to me every couple of weeks.

Service was great. Room was comfortable and clean.

Better than we imagined it would be.

Would definitely recommend your tours. We'd like to go on another tour, just don't know which one or how we can find the funds to do so.

Outstanding. Much better than we expected.

Would be nice it there were more television monitors in the bus. I sat in the 5th row on the left and couldn't read anything on the screen and seeing the screen past the heads of people in front of me was more than difficult.

This was where my father-in-law came on shore on D-Day. My wife and I had been to Utah Beach in 2016 but needed someone with historical knowledge to really help us understand what he went through. Very much appreciated the info provided by the tour guide/historian.

While this was very interesting it would be nicer if the restaurant was replaced by a museum. I realize this is not something you can do.

In Day 1 I had difficulty understanding what she was telling us but on day two I understood it all! Don't know how this can be improved though.

11-day Third Reich review

In regards to the Munich portion of this trip, I was not advised nor did I receive any information in regards to the change at Obersalzberg. 2/3 of the tour were canceled due to construction. I didn't even realize that touring the remains of Hitler's Berghof and the a small museum with a unique video was canceled until everybody started walking towards the bus. I asked Milan what's going on and why is everybody heading towards the bus? I then find out that these two areas were closed. Were going back to the hotel. I was pissed! I have been waiting 3 years to get back here to solve a couple of questions that only being there could solve. How long did you know that these areas were closed?

I liked all the hotels. Munich because of all the airport pictures including the one in my room. Furth being my favorite of all of them due to the little park with an ice cream stand at the entrance and the very busy train station two blocks away. While the Maritim over all was very nice, the bed was like something out of Walmart when compared to the previous hotels. The pillows were so ultra soft that even with 4 pillows stacked together, I still hit my head on the head board. But the location of the Maritim was excellent. After each dinner, I walked into the Tiergarten and viewed Brandenburg's Gate [during a soccer game with hundreds of people in the street]and the Russian memorial.

Organized and stick to the schedule! Having traveled three times now, I pretty sure of what to expect. I would likely recommend procom to others.

All the meals I ate were great. I read something from procom about increasing the portion size...….are you nuts? It took a lot of effort and determination to keep the amount I ate under control. But everything was delicious.

Wouldn't change a thing. Had problems with the wifi but over all the ride was great.

I truly enjoyed the boat ride as I have a boat myself. Hamburg is a great city. I was happy to take the subway back and the miniature train/airport museum. Also within a 10 minute walk from the hotel is a park along the water. I went there each night after dinner. For that alone, the hotel was in a great location. I would return to Hamburg on my own.

I liked the tour of Dachau 3 years ago. This seemed a little rushed but it did focus on different areas than 3 years ago.

Again was a little different than 3 years ago. In this particular case, I was glad we didn't have free time after the tour.

Was not able to hear anything they said. Can't provide any reviews.

It was fascinating to stand in the same spot that Hitler did.

I'm glad we went there but it was a big let down for me. Everything was in German. Nothing in English. Not being able to hear the guide, I lost a ton of information. But I did wonder off and found the rail yard for DB so that eased the annoyance. I wouldn't go back.

Other than the rail yard I found, I wouldn't go back. However, I would go back to Furth as explained previously. I just remembered, there is a larger beautiful park across the street [in front/ not behind as mentioned] With beautiful walking paths and a small lake. It is clearly used for concerts and other "stuff." I walked it in the morning of our departure. To me, Furth over rules Nuremburg.

The museum has an excellent collection and display of tanks. But tanks are my "thing." Fortunately, many displays had information in English.

This was also a good stop and not just for the Conference but the places surrounding it. Several months prior to the tour I submitted a request to drive through certain areas near Potsdam. When we left Potsdam and headed north, I assumed we'd take a easterly route passed the Luftwaffe Aviation Museum [Gatow] but instead and to my surprise we took the westerly route [Route 2] and drove through a little town called Gross Glienicke. In the town is a gate [TOR] and I was able to snap a couple of pics while we drove by. I was very happy to have done this...kinda balanced out Obersalzburg.

I enjoyed walking to these site and it is fortunate that I had knowledge of these places. But I still lost a ton of info from the guides. But it is with this tour that I was able to walk back into the Tiergarten and return on my own.

I enjoyed Checkpoint Charlie and the replica of the Berlin Wall security zone.

The loss of touring the Berghof and the other areas, this will stick in my head for a while. Although I enjoyed going back up to the Eagles Nest in horrible weather. When I was there 3 years ago, it was 85 and sunny with a gorgeous view. The opposite in weather was interesting.....too me.

I would go back to this place as I didn't have enough time to view the entire place. But I was able to seek out info on White Rose so that was good enough for the time being.

18-day Normandy to Berlin review

Would definitely recommend. Quality of the tour guides in general, the pace of the tour were acceptable.

At Leo's, apparently chicken cordon blue was ordered, we didn't get it. Then we had a hamburger can get that anywhere. Would have preferred something local to the area (pasta?)

Charlie was very personable. Janus was quiet and didn't mix with the group. He and Milan would always eat separately.

Too much time at restaurant.

Rudy was an excellent guide. Would not have been as good without him.

Not enough time to enjoy this Memorial

Once again our guide really made this come to life.

Guide very knowledgeable and interesting.

Emotional visit.

The site spoke for itself. The guide supplied personal information.

Guide was good but had a hard time filling 2 hours.

We had a woman, not Jason

First tour for the guide and it showed.

Late in day and too much information. We had already seen the tanks in Bastogne.

Would have preferred to do this tour without the guide.

Guide was excellent.

Guide once again excellent.

Rudy was an excellent guide. Would not have been as good without him.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

The Procom travel consultant was very helpful. The "my Trip" online feature was helpful and got us even more excited about the trip.

The amount and quality of the information Procom provided was excellent. Again, it made us even more excited about the trip, leading up to the trip.

On the hotels: The hotel at Bastogne was very good, the only drawback was no A/C. All other hotels were excellent. Favorite hotel was the Novotel .

Outstanding!

Recommending: We have already recommended this tour to family, neighbors and friends!

"motor coach and driver" - The driver was amazing! The coach could have had wi-fi though.

Charlie Koves was professional ,knowlegable, and just the best tour manager we could have hoped for. He dealt with all issues (like checking into hotels) was invaluable. He Pegasus Bridge, which was a stroke of genius!

Henri was also a very good guide.

"Bastogne Battlefield Tour"- Amazing. Being able to get in the foxholes was just sobering and impactful.

"Bastogne War Museum" - Loved the interactive audio.

"Luxembourg American Cemetery" Patton's grave was a must see.

"Dachau Concentration Camp" - I was looking forward to being moved by this. Unfortunately our local guide (Steve) wanted to stand outside and give lecture, lol. Most customers on the tour knew history already, or we wouldn't have come. And we wanted to BE there... EXPERIENCE it... walk the footsteps... get the feelings... instead we stood around a lot with Steve, and was physically hard to stand for those long periods. But, Dachau was an important stop.

"Munich sights" - We LOVED Munich! It was amazing. We were so surprised how much we enjoyed the city. We could never have known that before, and now do. One negative was all the walking and talking of the local guide Steve. He should have helped us experience the trip, and I appreciated his knowledge... just would have liked less talking and more soaking it in.

"Eagle’s Nest" - This was HIGHLIGHT of the trip for me, and all the other placed were WONDERFUL, but the Eagle's Nest went even better. We absolutely LOVED the free time to wander and see all the views. We were so lucky with the weather too. Koves (Charlie) was so smart/experienced to get us there early. We were able to get up with little wait time. When we came down we saw other tourists ahving to wait in long lines, but Koves (Charlie) knew exactly how to get the most out of this excursion.

Steve was very knowledgeable, but he needs to understand why people go on these trips. We don't want to stand around. We want to go out and experience. Too much standing and lecturing.

Christophe was knowledgeable. Only complaint is we wanted to spen more time at Omaha.

"Pointe du Hoc" - OMG, it was just amazing! Loved being able to walk around. Chistophe was a very good guide.

"Arromanches, Mulberry Harbour" - we spent too much time there at the expense of Omaha Beach. The harbor was great, but it did cut into the time at Omaha

"Normandy American Cemetery and Omaha Beach" - Unforgettable. We would have liked to have spent more time at Omaha Beach.

"Longues-sur-Mer battery" - Awesome - it's such an iconic site that you've seen on TV, and now actually got to be there. Going into gun emplacements was unforgettable.

"St Marie-du-Mont, Utah Beach, Brécourt Manor" - Amazing! Loved walking on Utah Beach!

"St-Mére-Èglise" - beautiful iconic town - loved being there

Mathias was a very good guide.

5-day Normandy Invasion review

I would totally recommend this tour to everyone, it was my husband who knew more about the History, but it was so interesting that I actually had a great time learning.

Can’t remember the drivers name, but he was fantastic.

We switched at the last minute to Barry’s group and he was excellent

Very pleased with Procom

Very thorough your catalog is well organized and very helpful

You guys did a great job....pat yourself on the back!!!!!!

Definately, The pace of the tour was great. Well organized and am planning my next trip with procom,

I loved the restaurants you took us too. Good food but sometimes I had could not finish it...I am not used to 3 full meals a day.....Honestly great job on the meals

Again this is Barry's group....The driver (forgot his name) could have interacted more with the group....took him a while to loosen up a little. I do have to compliment the driver on his driving skills....outstanding on turning the bus at the small intersections

All the sights were outstanding. I enjoyed the chance to do some walking for the exercise after the scrumptous meals.

Wow!!!!! what a cathedral

Incredible and very memorable..the names and ages gave a human face to these brave men...Appreciated seeing LaCambe (German graves)

Gave me a good perspective of the distance between omaha and

Like strolling through the town

Those guns were impressive...These guns symbolize the german defensive at Normandy

5-day Normandy Invasion review

Some tour participants were upset with food and room size. The brochure clearly stated that rooms would be smaller than most americans are used to. The food was just fine.......the Normandy beaches are rather remote with limited food/restaurant selections....lets also not forget it was June 6th.

Crowded, but tour hotels are often crowded

This tour is excellent for those interested in WW2 history. Lots of detail regarding units, leaders and "side stories" The Dead Man's Corner site was fantastic with the simulator, house museum/dioramas. Good job with "then and now" photo displays. Please count this evaluation as 2 respondents. Fred and Chere Hill

I think some of the restaurants were overwhelmed......not prepared for the group. Also must consider that Americans want everything fast. I did expect more "French" dishes rather than Italian or american style steak.

Coach was very cramped. Driver was always safe and pleasant

Great museum especially gliders, aircraft and the original bridge

excellent guide, the staff led me to a grave so I could place a flag on the grave of a fallen soldier from our hometown.

Great museum

First stop is always the best

Milan did a great job. I know he put in many more hours making us comfortable than we realize. I think the disorganization of the evening restaurants (except hippopotomus) put Milan in a tough spot.

Great bunker sites and museum

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Consultants were very helpful; chatting was almost immediate, and they answered all my questions competently and in good humor!

All the information regarding the countries we were going to visit, common phrases, etc. was extremely interesting and helpful. The checklist was great and helped me to feel prepared.

The Hotel ibis Caen Centre was understaffed. The gentleman at the front desk tried to help us with any requests we had (laundry, etc.) but he was only one person and couldn't help everyone at the same time! He tried very hard to be helpful.

An excellent tour that hit all the spots we were interested in. Procom has thought of everything to make a tour informative as well as enjoyable.

Our driver was another "Charlie" (I did not get his last name). He was an excellent driver and we felt very comfortable riding with him.

Charlie Koves is the best! Somehow he manages to make his work look easy, and I know it is not easy herding around a group of 42 people. He is engaged with each member of the group, always checking to make sure everyone is doing okay. He is a true teacher/historian, and so capable of presenting information to a group that is a moving target at times. His communication skills are outstanding.

11-day Fields of World War I review

Niki was great help with recommendations and planning

Some sites we visited were not on the advanced itinerary, and others on the itinerary we never visited.

Just a more accurate list of sites we were visiting each day

Verdun hotel needs to upgrade there Wifi setup. Was unable to send or upload anything over 1mb, and system was slow.

Another great tour and looking forward to many more as long as prices don't get out of my "affordable" range.

I don't know a lot about WWI so this tour gave me a better understanding of what took place and what life must have been like. I was amazed at how the trenches and tunnels are so well preserved now over 100 years old. This tour provided more then what I was excepting to see!

Overall the meals were good, at times it would have been nice to have the ability to order a la carte. The Risotto lunch at the Reims Italian restaurant was a bad choice, would have been nice have had spaghetti or lasagna after eating beef, chicken, or fish all week. Also, one lunch that was all cheese with a bit of meat wasn't a good choice as everyone was sleepy by the time we arrived at the next site.

Our driver is the best, amazed how he gets that huge bus around those narrow streets. Bus needs a new Wifi system, was unable to connect during the whole tour.

Both guides did an outstanding job of providing detailed information about the sites and battles. Both were a wealth of knowledge

Charlie did a great job!

Nice city to start in.

Nice layout

Good sites

Enjoyed the tunnel and viewing the memorial

Great walk around the park

Nice layout

This was fun to do!

Very cool to see in person!

Great Cathedral

Small, but special to see the rail car

breakfast was fine at Mercure, however dinners were very low quality and tasteless. two bartenders did not know what a martini was, had to explain and then drink was put into a water glass.

very nice time, informative, learned more about various sites. yes

found some meals too heavy, lunches did not need to be a lot of meat. salad bar lunch at several places were very nice, but then also gave meat and french fries, which weren't needed. cut back on amount of food and lower price of trip somewhat. have more local foods.

Great people.

In Verdun, the TV was broken and they never fixed it. Ariane was really nice. Good people. The Crowne Plaza was nice, but the printer didn't work (for the past six weeks) and it's not really close to Paris if you want to stay longer.

I vote with my money. I am going on three more tours this year and look forward to continued travel with ProcomTours!

Excellent. Learned a lot about WWI and saw some great sites.

Seats could be a little more comfortable. It was always clean and the driver was first rate! A reall gentleman.

Ian should be teaching at a University! What an awesome Guy and great human being! Outstanding! Guillaume had a hard act to follow. He could be a little monotone, but a true gentleman and knowledgable.

Charlie was awesome! Kept the tour on time and on target. Always trying to accommodate and thoughtful of our concerns and needs.

The Canadian Girls at the park are always wonderful representatives of Canada. Awesome hosts!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Whenever I called, your crew answered every question I had. Very professional.

Excellent job. Made us look forward to the trip.

Hotels were great. The food at the Rilano was as good as the first two hotels.

Very satisfied

The tour was great. The tour covered everything I wanted on the tour. Everyone was so informative and helpful. I would like BBof B Tour to offer all the photos taken on the tour. I'd be willing to pay for the photos.

Meals were great. However, the meals at the restaurant in Bastogne served too much pasta.

I have no negative comments. We really enjoyed the water provided on the bus trips.

Very knowledgable

Excellent

It was amazing. You can't really see the real picture until you're there in person.

Thank you. I've seen the History Channel's recreation of this event several times and this really brings everything into prespective.

I really enjoyed it.

Great Museum

Smaller than I pictured. Good information received

Everyone should see these camps.

Very informative. The weather could have cooperated

2nd time there. Looks completely different with the clouds.

It's great to see the other views of the battle.

Everything I wanted to see and more

It's amazing it's still there.

What a difference from the other beaches.

5-day Normandy Invasion review

Calling it a "5 day" tour is deceptive. Really only 3.

Our room types were very different for same price we paid. In town to facilitate shopping/sightseeing etc would've been nice.

Access to special places beyond normal is essential to make money feel worthwhile, so was good. Amount of information was good. Wasn't a geriatric tourist draw. Not stuffed into a bus barely big enough. Listening devices helped everyone hear the guides even if not right in front of them. Super important. Need shopping time in non tourist trap shops.

The set menu places were bland, the places where we had a choice between a couple items was better.

Need charging plugs for phones etc and it'd been about perfect.

He is awesome!

Were not aware of the times we would be in underground tunnels, might have packed an additional jacket

Love the Ariane & the Les Jardins du Mess.

Tour was very well laid out, enjoyed not having to move from hotel to hotel so much. My recommendation would be for someone who enjoys history and wants to understand what happened on the Western Front, you will not find a better tour or tour operator.

I can only say they portions were more than generous. It takes a while for us Americans to become used to taking 1-1/2-2 hours for a meal.

Both were excellent, really enjoyed Ian sense of humor.

Goes above & beyond to see that everyone is accommodated

Enjoyed this little town, people very friendly

Second time here, enjoyed taking my time to read everything instead of staying with the guided tour

Eon was great, I thought I had an excellent guide last year on the Two Wars tour but Eon was even better.

Local guide did a fine job.

Local guide was excellent, made the cathedral come to life

Nothing to be said about the Band of Brothers but this museum was not done as well as others.

11-day Fields of World War I review

Debra Watkins has always been super-helpful.

Extremely well done, except that the hotels were not listed for my tour so I had to ask Debra for the information.

Names, addresses, phone, and emails for hotels so I can put it on the itinerary I create for my family members to know where I'll be and how to contact me if necessary.

Food at Mercure Amiens wasn't as good as the others. Loved having a regular blanket (instead of the ubiquitous and always too hot European duvet) available at Hotel Ariane.

The tour did an excellent job of providing both broad and deep exposure to the most important aspects of World War I battles on the Western front. I learned a lot about that war that I did not know before. I would recommend it to anyone who has some interest in World War I. I did get a little tired of the constant stream of memorials and cemeteries. Those are important, of course, for many reasons. One of the most important is that they really drove home the incredible scale of the conflict, the human losses, and the immense number of missing and unidentified casualties. The descriptions of how the French, Commonwealth, Americans, and Germans handled their cemeteries and dead was also insightful. But I found it kind of boring wandering around Yet Another Cemetery for half an hour looking at various graves of certain individuals. I would rather spend a little more time on battlefields and museums than on cemeteries and memorials.

Breakfasts were always fine. Please try to have a nice portion of vegetables, salad, or fruit available at each main meal. Some meals were based on mushrooms, which I do not like, meaning that I couldn't eat a goodly portion of those entrées. It would be fine to cut back on the meat a little bit. Meals consumed a lot of time. It worked great the one day that Charlie called ahead with our drink orders and entrée selections to speed things up. I recommend doing that more often. Also, it might save time and be a nice change occasionally to have a simpler, maybe sandwich-based lunch instead of a largish, hot meal each time.

As was my previous tour, the seats get a little uncomfortable on the long travel days. They're pretty firm. Otherwise, the coach was fine.

Ian was the best guide I've ever encountered.

Charlie was terrific. First-rate job!

Great meals but spent too much time for lunch meals.

How he could get that coach into those tight corners is a mystery. Always friendly with guests.

11-day Fields of World War I review

I was extremely pleased with all the hotels the tour company selected. I liked staying downtown in walking distances of the old city centers in all cases (except Charles de Gaulle Crowne Plaza on last night of course).

No problems, and even if there were any, I'm sure Charlie and the rest would work to fix them.

I highly recommend Procom and the Band of Brothers, and will use them again.

Food was excellent. My only comment is that the meals, especially lunch, but occasionally dinner, take too much time when I could be out wandering the city centers or countryside. I do not drink alcohol, so that is part of it, and they are not excessive by European or even normal American time lengths, but I would like to have more free time then a long meal. Maybe have one free dinner period for the tour participants to figure out there own dinner choices in each city that we stop in.

Janusc (sp?) was an outstanding, safe and competent driver. He even cleans the vehicle on our breaks to make sure it is always sparkling clean. Very pleased with him and the quality of the tour bus.

Iain is outstanding, from both a tour guide, published historian, and ex-military perspective. Keep getting him. Guillaume is wonderful for the way he adds "French flavor" to the tour, in addition to his excellent knowledge of the Ardennes region. Keep him too!

Csaba Koves (Charlie) does an excellent job of herding the tour participants. Keep him happy!

4.5 because part of museum was under renovation. Otherwise I'd give it a 5.

The food at the Mercure Amiens hotel was mediocre.

the tour was very interesting and informative. would have liked a little more free time to explore or shop.

Most meals were excellent, however the meals at the hotel in Amiens were pretty bad. Some of the breakfasts had undercooked bacon and mushy eggs. Meals at outside restaurants were very good. Lunches were too large and left you too full.

Would like to see jacks at each seat for phones or tablets. have snacks available.

Both were very good, however, Guillaume was occasionally difficult to understand. He was not as personable as Iain.

Charlie was very good and personable. He tried to accommodate everyone's needs and concerns.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

No air conditioning was an issue in Hotel Melba. However, I understand this is the culture of many European hotels. There was an odor in the bathroom at the Best Western hotel. The best hotel was the Rilano in Munich.....air conditioning and washcloths! We had a good selection of food at all three hotels. The staff was top notch at all three hotels.

The tour was very organized, and Rob did an excellent job of keeping the tour running smoothly. The sites visited were amazing and gave a clear picture of the major events of WWII. I would like to have also visited Auschwitz, even though it would have been heart-wrenching.

Peter and Rob paid very close attention to all of the rules governing speed and time between rest stops. I felt very safe with Peter at the wheel.

Rudy was excellent! I learned so much from him, and Iespecially loved all of the anecdotal stories of real men and women who were part of WWII.

Excellent resource since he actually lived close to Bastogne during the time of the war.

The special laying of the wreath by our military tourists was very moving.

Would have liked some free time to explore Munich. We had to choose between a walking tour of Munich, or have free time. I would like to have had both.

Robert was also a genius, on the level of Rudy! Robert’s dry-wit personality really helped on the afternoon he was with us because it rained heavily the entire afternoon.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

All accomodations were different depending on location, but lovely and very friendly. Meals were great, and staff very receptive to requests.

Robert was a very efficient and caring host

Have already recommended the tour because of many factors. Primary is the excellent tour speakers, then the great driver and tour manager, and hotel and meal accomodations.

Meals were wonderful. Our only complaint is simple. My husband does not drink alcohol, but DOES drink diet soda. He got his hopes up with the idea of unlimited soft drinks, but it really was hard to get diet soda everywhere on the trip. Am sure that that is a European issue.

We were "locked in" to the seats on the bus when we arrived. The only other bus tour we have taken (Insight) we were told to move a row forward each day. This would have been great. All would get a chance at the front of the bus.

Rudy is probably the best guide we have ever had as far as putting events into historical perspective. He is the BEST story teller ever-makes history very personable by putting events into common vernacular.

Henri knows EVERYTHING about the various regiments and where they were stationed. His energy and vitality, as well as love of his country and region are amazing.

Pierre was SO knowledgeable and a joy to listen to. His recollection of facts and ability to climb hills belies his years. What a wonderful and involved host.

So lucky to have had an excellent guide.

Extremely informative day-was dreading the horror of the Dachau but the exhibits were intense and put the awful circumstances into historical perspective.

Robert Johnson was an exceptional guide to Dachau AND the walking tour of Munich, done during a raging thunderstorm that was unrelenting. He is an extremely gifted guide as he is knowledgeable, finds basic humanity in all situations, and is able to articulate what the human toll of WWII was. GREAT guide!

Food great, weather so crummy that we saw nothing. What a crazy effort in futility this endeavor was, and so very sad.

Rudy was AMAZING in his knowledge and passion for D-Day. Only downside was the weather which was very cold, windy and rainy, just as our troops encountered on June 6, 1945.

Robert was not only knowledgeable but really attuned to the questions that Americans would ask, a real bonus. His greatest gift is the ability to put the horrors of WWII into perspective and explain why atrocities were allowed. He is an EXCEPTIONAL speaker, and I give him all of the credit in the world for sticking with the walking tour of Munich during a driving thunderstorm that brought the city to a standstill. Robert is the BEST!

11-day Fields of World War I review

The consultant, my trip site, and upkeep of information was great

I was impressed with the amount of varied information I received from procom prior to the tour about the hotels, those on the tour, tips and tricks, and general information

Excellent first time experience with this company. From the set up, to the pretour information, to the tour itself, everything was very well done.

The Fields of World War I tour was incredible. It mixed the details leading up to, during, and after the Great War wonderfully. The cemetaries, museums, and preserved battle areas really drove home the incredible costs both militarily and civilian wise to those involved in it. I would definitely recommend Fields of WWI to anyone who loves history and wishes to learn about the tragedy of those who fought and died for their country on both sides

SMALLER lunches or lunch time to explore areas of towns especially Reims, maybe Metz, etc.

Janos is a very skilled driver who handled the bus impressively well maneuvering and handling. He was prompt, the bus was cleaned regularly, and he was always very friendly

Ian was absolutely incredible, very informative, passionate, and a font of information and humor. Guillaume was great at putting it all together and showed a love for his area

Charlie was absolutely outstanding at coordinating everything, accommodating us, and showing his own knowledge and information on the subject, the area, and history in general

The sites were moving, awe inspiring and intense. Definitely a fascinating start to the tour

Very well done, shame the add on wasn't finished about the non WWI history

Beautiful city that would have been nice to see more of as opposed to a long lunch

Very impressive if partly closed

5-day Normandy Invasion review

Awesome accommodations! We loved our room overlooking the river. (Room 105).

Best vacation I've ever been on. I've told my friends to ask for Barry and Nicole. They make an awesome team.

It was nice being chauffeured around.

Nicole made the trip worthwhile. She took us into the churches, sat with us at lunch, and walked us through the Normandy American Cemetery. At times I felt like she lived there in 1944.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Air Conditioning: Neither the Best Western Hotel nor the Hotel Melba had air conditioning.

The tour was excellent. The Tour Manager and the various local Guides provided wonderful narratives and insights for each element of our tour. And every item on our itinerary "came true". Nothing was overlooked. The experience was completely and happily satisfying.

Our driver provided a very comfortable and safe trip. I appreciated his diligence in conforming with the regulations.

Although a heavy rain storm with thunder made our 2-hour walking tour of Munich miserable, but we forged ahead anyway!

Although dense fog obscured the view of the Alps.

N/A - I didn't participate in the Dachau portion of our tour because I had been there once before and found it too disturbing to see again.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Everyone was wonderful!! Charlie and Charlie went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and fun!

LOVED the staff at Hotel Melba!!! Novotel also had very friendly and helpful staff. The location of all the hotels were excellent!

Great service all the way around!!

when we booked the budget tour I wasn't expecting much but the tour blew me away! All the tour guides, Charlie's additional information and all the places we got to see were first rate!

Charlie, our driver was AWESOME!! He blew me away with how he got in and out of places. I felt confident in his ability the entire time. Charlie was also personable and funny. Amazing all around!

Charlie is FANTASTIC!!! He went out of his way to help in any way he could. He was kind enough to sit with us and give us recommendations for Berlin. I heard after the tour was over that there had been drama with a few travelers and I had no idea. Obviously Charlie diffused the situation because we had no idea. Charlie has a great sense of humor and made us laugh quite often. Loved all his historical information and the way he presented it. He is AMAZING!!!

If I could give Henri 10 stars I would. He is AMAZING!!!! I loved all his stories, all his information and the way he delivered it. He is wonderful!! We would love his video that we watched in the bus if it is available to purchase.

Henri is AMAZING!!!!! His personal stories and knowledge of the area makes the tour unforgettable!!!

Great museum, love everything about it. The memorial there is also beautiful and worth a visit.

Beautiful and the perfect amount of time spent there.

a very sobering experience, you hear about all of these places but actually being there and hearing stories and events bring it all to life. I found myself fighting back tears and forcing myself to listen to be respectful to all those that died there. I believe everyone should see one of the Concentration Camps.

The walking tour was beautiful but too long. There needs to be some kind of break if you are going to keep the tour as long as it was with our group. We didn't have any free time during the day in Munich and that was disappointing.

AMAZING experience and Beautiful Views!

Great information but, was disappointed that we didn't have more time to go through the museum at Dachau. The walking tour in Munich was too long. By the end of the tour I had stopped listening. I did enjoy walking around Munich I just wish it had been a bit shorter.

Great information

Amazing experience and a MUST see!!

Beautiful views, wonderful little town and plenty of opportunities for museums, shopping or just sitting down to enjoy the view.

This cemetery is beautiful and so special, a MUST for all World War II tours.

Extraordinary experience being able to walk around and in the Longues-sur-Mer battery.

We were thrilled to see Brecourt Manor, a little disappointed we weren't allowed to look at the actual historic area but, understood why. I still feel it's worth visiting. Utah Beach is a must and so is St. Marie-du-Mont.

Beautiful little town a must see on a World War II tour!

great information, loved his personal stories and connection to Normandy

Satisfied

The WiFi on the bus is limited and we were not provided with transportation to the airport on the final day. Our plane was at 1:00 o’clock pm and put your guide said that since our flight was later that the other flights that we would need to find our own transportation to the airport

It was a phenomenal tour with a great group of people. I am for sure going to do another one with your company

Wish there was a bit more variety. We had a ton of chicken it seemed

Driver was phenomenal. Bud was great just wish there wasn’t such a tight bandwidth limit with the WiFi

Fantastic!

Cemetery was fantastic but Omaha was rather short for my liking. I think we should have spent more time there

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

They were great very helpful with any questions or concerns.

Fantastic, loved all the info actually helped to get us more excited about the tour. Having the full itinerary along with all the other information was great!

I thought all of the hotels were great, I would like to have Air Conditioning at the Bastogne Hotel. I thought all of the Hotels were nice, clean and modern. I loved the Bastogne Hotel (Location and staff were terrific!) just wished they would have had Air. Caen & Munich Hotels were in a great location with plenty of food options and shopping near by.

Loved it! So much better than I had expected, I was worried being with a group, but Charlie Koves made it a world class trip and a trip of a lifetime!

Loved it, would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in going on a tour. The mix of planned days, events and tours with free time was great, better than I could have hoped. I miss it so much! Wish we were still touring! Walking in the footsteps, standing where history took place... those moments and places were really special and I will remember them always. Great Value! Great hotels, Great Guides!

Charlie was an amazing driver, don't know how he was able to navigate those tiny roads. Great attitude, had drinks up front, always had a smile... Great with the bags, True professional driver!

Charlie was the best tour guide ever! Charlie made the tour even better, he made it a trip of a lifetime by adding what he does, smoothing everything out, giving advice, tips, heads up, etc. Checking us into hotels, getting everyone together at the beginning and at the end to thank us and to get to know each other. His sense of humor, his planning, his attention to detail. We all thought, and think Charlie is a tremendous guide! Adding Angoville au Plain and Pegasus Bridge to the days stops for a quick see. Really made it even more special for me. Thank you Charlie!

Henri was very nice, sweet guy. Knowledgeable and really added to the tour.

We did this tour because we're history buffs & love Band of Brothers... The Book, the Mini Series. all of it. Standing next to the fox holes, walking through the trees, just wow. hair standing up on my arms. Like Omaha, Utah, St. Mere Eglise!

A really nice museum that I would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very nice and humbling, Beautiful a nice addition on the trip from Bastogne to Munich. Seeing Patton's grave site and the monuments etc. Very nice.

Moving and disturbing and so many emotions. It was unbelievable to see it close up. To walk through the crematorium was unnerving. The only set critique from this day was the guide. It was extremely knowledgeable no doubt, just wished we could have moved around more when he was giving us the 30-minute lectures and seen more of the camp. We stood outside the camp and he spoke for at least 30-40 minutes just on the political build up to this camp. Just wished we could have moved around more, we could do it slowly...

Tremendous! Never knew Munich was a beautiful as it is. Loved the Hofbrauhaus and the Marienplatz and Odeonsplatz! That's saying something as the guide was once again a talker, I felt he did better with the afternoon session as we were able to walk through the city while on his diatribes.

Just wow! A must stop, knew this was one of the highlights of our trip. We got so lucky with the weather. Charlie was the man once again, getting us to the station around 10am... perfect timing! Also coming back to munich the other way was great as we got to see another side of the Bavarian Alps! Still can't believe the sights and pictures. Loved hiking all over the Eagle's Nest! Only drawback was only a few rooms to see, but they've demolished the other rooms, nothing you can do there. My advice do this for every trip! Get there by 10, come back the other way around the mountain. Tremendous!! Thank you Charlie!

Steve was ok. He is extremely knowledgeable and an expert. I just wish we could have moved more, especially at Dachau where we ran out of time to see things because he spent 30-45 minutes on a history lesson, before we ever got into the place. That being said, I thought the walking tour in the afternoon was better.

Very knowledgeable excellent guide. Would definitely recommend keeping this guy!

Breathtaking, could not believe how beautiful it was. This was one of the main reasons we took this tour, not necessarily Point du Hoc but walking and standing in the same footsteps of history.

Beautiful little town, had no idea it was that picturesque.

Just Incredible, standing there, in a place I've seen in Movies, Documentaries, etc was surreal. Definite a highlight of the tour. I do wish we could have spent more time at Omaha Beach. That's my only criticism.

Seeing the Pill boxes was great and touring the inside of one as well. Seeing the gun emplacements as well as walking along the fields.

Tremendous day as well,,, I'm going to say the same things over and over, We made this trip to walk in the foot steps. Wish we could have seen more of Brecourt Manor, But I completely understand its a private farm. **Adding Angoville au Plain was great! The church where the american medics were honored, great addition!

One of my favorites on the day, Standing in the church square was another one of those moments for me. Growing up watching the Longest Day I stared at the church & square for the longest time. and I loved the town, great food too! ****Pegasus Bridge!!! Thank you so much for that Charlie! That was a big one for me. again, standing in the same place where it all went down. Thank you so much!

Matias was probably my favorite. He had me hooked from the get go. Accent was a big thick, but this guy knew his stuff and I really enjoyed him.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

All five-star for our purposes. Nice locations, clean, comfortable, good food and beverage.

I have written you of my impressions in an email. I have already recommended it to others ... yes, tours are somewhat expensive, but that does not mean they are not a good value. The carefree (for us) logistics, transportation, meals & accommodations, and expert guidance all come at a price, and I think it was money well spent.

Given a large group, I was very pleased with the choices.

see above

Terrific guide and small museum; wish we'd had a little more time in the museum.

Superlative, with excellent guidance and sufficient time.

Unexpected, fascinating.

Steve is outstanding. Would like to have had a little more quiet time there, but it would have been difficult to carve out.

Steve might want to make a small map of the high points along with a paragraph on each, maybe with a timeline: "Munich in the 1920s."

see above

Again, an excellent guide in Henri. Good touring strategy for limited time frame.

I would say this about all three: encyclopedic knowledge and infectious enthusiasm; I could not have been more pleased.

Five stars, except ... Would allow a little purely "quiet time" to walk on Omaha Beach, 45 minute perhaps, after lunch.

The 360-degree 9-screen movie presentation was powerful and worthwhile.

There is not a lot there, but would not want to leave it out.

I have already written you about Milan.

The Merville Battery would be a good addition.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

The consultant was quick to respond to any questions that I had. The only complaint I have is that they didn't notify me that my initial payment wasn't processed by the bank.

The staff @ Ibis Styles Ouistreham weren't the friendliest/most helpful. The rooms were quite small (even compared to other European hotels & hostels that I've stayed in). The staff @ the other 2 hotels were very helpful & polite.

I would recommend the tour because of the reasonable price & the variety of sites visited.

John was always very courteous & I felt very safe with him behind the wheel.

Henri's story was quite remarkable & his knowledge of the area was great!

I didn't not go here, but instead went to the 101st Airborne Museum.

I truly enjoyed Eric's walking tour of Munich. He was also very informative when we visited Dachau.

Alex, our local guide, was very knowledgeable & added to the visit.

Alex helped put the sites into context (both locally & within the larger European campaign).

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Excellent tour and value.

The itinerary was well thought out and the tour was an excellent value. The tour was packed full of great sites and the local guides were excellent. We would recommend because the convenience of a fully guided tour while traveling across Europe is invaluable in situations where you don't know the language and don't want to navigate the roadways yourself. The only area for improvement would be to allow more time for lunch. An hour is fine for rest stops, but not enough time when you drop 40+ people off in a large city at the same time and then expect them to all be done eating within one hour. It took a full hour just for our food to arrive in Bastogne and Munich.

John our driver got us where we needed to go and got us there safely. Cant ask for more than that!

Barry was great. We never would have known it was his first tour!

Did a great job taking us through Bastogne, the Ardennes Forrest and the US headquarters in Belgium.

Absolutely fabulous! Very personable and has a wealth of information!

5-day Normandy Invasion review

There was one foul up on my part, paying too little. But data base told our tour mgr. that I'd meet in Caen. Wrong. Was always supposed to meet at CDG on Monday. Not sure how that happened to my record.

Excellent in most respects altho I recommend rewording the gratuities to make clear that it is best for $10 per staffer per day or $10 per tour participant per day. It could be read either way.

Stop calling it a 5 day tour. It is 3 days, with 2 days travel. But I guess that is the problem with the entire tour industry!

The tour met or exceeded my expectations. Or I should say the locale did. I recommend the tour so we keep remembering.

sustenance at best, except the breakfasts at Adagio and lunch at Omaha Beach

Give this one a 5 plus

Good but not great. He could have explained more about the sights we saw while on the bus/ He did have a good sense of humor. Nice fellow.

All nice hotels. Breakfasts were as expected. All had SLOW internet. We don't go on tours to watch TV, but it's nice while getting ready for the day or going to bed. Munich in particular had only 3 English speaking channels, all boring. CNN or BBC World or something entertaining would make the Munich hotel nicer.

I have recommended it to several baby boomer guys. We all grew up with WWII movies on TV and Veteran fathers. We did the beaches 10 years ago on our own and didn't see as much. I might suggest the D-Day museam in Caen and a bit of a tour of Caen.

Rotating the seats every day would have been more fair, but we sat near the front and offered to trade and nobody accepted.

Great guy! Very helpful

The tour actually exceeded my expectations and I would definitely recommend it.

We would have liked Wi-Fi on the bus. Might have been helpful to have a set seat rotation as some other tour companies use.

Excellent job keeping track of everyone and everything.

Amazing guide. Great stories.

Would have preferred if our guide talked more as we walked or on the bus rather than asking the group to stop so frequently and then we didn’t have quite enough time to see as much as we could have.

The three hour walking tour was too long and we would have liked a water break because it was so hot. Our guide was very interesting and informative but walked so fast that the group had s hard time keeping up.

It was a little frustrating to be st Dachau and want to see everything while we were stopped for long periods of time listening to him. As s result, we didn’t get to see all of the exhibits and had little time in the museum. Would have preferred he walk a little slower and talk while walking. Walking tour in Munich needed a water break and guide needed to walk slower.

Really interesting but stopped too often and went into way more detail than sometimes was necessary.

So glad we were there on Memorial Day!

Information and follow up was excellent and fast.

Very good information and communications throughout.

Believe we were well prepared throughout. We had one instance where we were not sure how the lunch pricing worked and we all ended up paying 35-40 euros for our lunch.

All hotels were very nice. The hotel Melba was quaint and close however the air conditioning may be an issue in warmer weather.

It was an amazing experience and well beyond what we expected. Every city, stop, visits were incredible and we will highly recommend it. Tour guides, hotels and experience was most memorable.

Charlie the driver was quite gifted. Thought the motor coach was to have wifi and some of us wanted to use them in longer trips.

The best! Approachable, kind, useful information, went outside the box to provide us a special experience. He is the reason I always prefer to get a planned tour. Cannot say enough about Charlie and very glad we had a last minute change and got him instead of Silvia-meant to be!

My favorite-loved the fact that he witnessed that time in hx

Best museum-highly recommend it

Glad to see our soldiers are honored daily

Very sad. Could have used more time for museum

Great day. 3rd Reich walking tour was long. Could have used a water break.

Great day. Sad that the house only had 2 remaining original rooms.

Very knowledgeable at times hard to understand. Would have liked the walking and talking rather than stopping each and every time.

Great knowledge passionate

Exciting to see live. Bigger than I expected.

Quaint town with a great history

Good as well.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

No Wifi on bus as told there would be. Also hotels have little to know AC, would be nice to know to at least bring small fan, etc.

IBIS was VERY small rooms. Also, location was an hour + to destinations. Constant police presence due to illegal immigrants everywhere. But otherwise very nice building and staff. Novotel was the nicest hotel in my opinion. Wonderful facility and area, staff nice as well. Wemerhardt was very nice hotel as well. Attached to mall which was nice, however they close for the night within an hour of us getting back.

Again, not enough stars

Everyday was better than the last. It went above and beyond my wildest expectations. I am definitely doing another tour as soon as I can. Price, itinerary, staff, locations were awesome. I also liked how we were left to do what we want and make it what we wanted it to be. I wasn't forced to listen or go anywhere or do anything I didn't want. Barry mentioned more budget style tours, I hope that is the case since I don't think I would like being stuck with people to lunch and dinner as well. We all got along great but I think that would be a bit much.

Information stated Wifi on the bus, there was none. Governed at 100Km which I understand but very slow. Driver did some magic with driving down tight areas. Very good job. Always felt safe.

Not enough stars for Barry. Held everyone together, kept us on time and in line, and also handled any problem that popped up. Was also very nice and kind, and knowledgeable with everything. I will miss him and hope to cross paths again. Great sense of humor too.

wonderful experience.

Was given little time in town. Went to museum and it wasn't opened yet, time management needs adjusted. Also in general, we should of been told European culture has slow eating times. You can't sit down and eat within an hour anywhere.

Once of the best museums I have been too. Interactive was great and awesome information and exhibits

Guide was above and beyond knowledgeable.

More time to sight see along with the walking tour.

I felt we spent too much time here. Building and grounds are very small in reality.

Very smart and knew a lot of information

Town is gorgeous, museum in town little boring. Great for shopping but I think spent too much time in town.

Only were given 20 minutes on beach before moving on. Need more time there!!!

Museum was very nice and interactive

Knew his stuff, we stopped at Pegasus bridge which wasn't on the tour but close to hotel. Very smart and kind

No direct interaction with the gentleman.

Would have liked the day a bit more interactive

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Since meals were not included in this trip, more information on customs and more foods included in the common language guide.

The lack of air conditioning was tough. The bed at the IBIS was great. The bed at Wemperhardt was hard as a rock

Would definitely recommend! Had a great time!

John the driver was awesome! Don't know how he got us in and out of places like he did!. The tour information said that the bus would have wifi but it did not.

Barry did great for his first time! I think the biggest challenge is time. There is never enough time at the stops so if the tour manager can help that out by eliminating wasted time that would help. A whole bus buying tickets one couple at a time takes way too much time. Band of Brother's shirts should be available without us having to waste 1/2 and hour getting them. In Bastogne we should have gone straight to the museum then had more time in town for lunch. An hour is not enough time. Nothing was open when we stopped there before the museum.

More time here and more information would have been nice

Timing here was terrible. Needed more time in Bastogne since we were not staying there. The museum was extremely crowded.

Less time on this tour would have been fine. Maybe just a map with the list of sights. Too much time talking about Hitler in the Hofbrau Haus.

Cloudy weather made this not as good as it could have been.

Excellent at Dachau, not so great Munich, too long, walked too fast.

Awesome!!

I enjoyed the tour. I would recommend the tour because I can tell that Charlie ensures that the guides are experts and enough time is spent at each site.

Charlie was amazing and I will book another tour just because of him. He was knowledgeable, ever present, and friendly.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Hotels were clean, service was great, nice locations.

The tour was super duper amazing! LOVED the tour and accommodations! It would be cool if the guides could use iPads or Kindles that had the pictures loaded on them: it was near impossible to see the pictures Cristoph and Mathias showed...maybe audio and pics could be on one device? Also, more interactive presentations were easier to process (like Henri and Steve).

Csaba (the driver) was very capable and made me feel safe. He maneuvered some tough roads quite well!

AMAZAING! Do whatever you need to do to keep him: he has something more than money can buy. He was so altruistic and genuinely cared for everyone. He made 42 strangers come together as a family! He knows so much information and is so helpful! Without him the tour would have been so different and so much less.

LOVE that he is a primary source!

Actually did the 101sr Airborne museum, which was phenomenal!

A bit too much time here.

LOVED Steve: great presentation!

He gave a ton of information, which was great, but hard to absorb. He also talked in bunkers when not everyone was in a bunker so we couldn't hear him. Also said we'd have 5 minutes, but only gave us 1 to go into bunkers.

Could have used more time to get in both the 360 theater and the museum.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Very satisfied

All of the hotels were fine, but the hotels in Luxembourg and Munich had nicer rooms and a better breakfast.

Very impressed. I have recommended the tour to all my friends

The tour covered the war from Normandy to the Eagle's Nest (excluding Market Garden) which was what I expected. I was not disappointed at all. I would recommend the tour because it is a reasonably priced tour that visits the pivotal locations of the war in Europe accompanied by outstanding historians that make these locations come alive.

The bus was fine. The driver was excellent.

If Barry had not told us that this was his first tour I would not have known. I was very impressed with him as a cooridinator/guide/manager and as a history teacher. He was very personable and did a good job of keeping the tour on schedule. I hope he is the tour manager on my next tour. Procom was smart for recruiting him.

His firsthand knowledge was mesmerizing.

We ate lunch, but others didn't have time. Might reconsider schedule

I wished it had not been so cloudy, but you can't control that.

I really liked his personality and story telling ability.

A little more time at Omaha Beach would have been appreciated.

All 3 were great, but he was probably the best. I'm splitting hairs here...

5-day Normandy Invasion review

I'm not on the Internet much, but Nancy kept me updated.

I was pleasantly surprised that I had a great experience on the tour. Before the trip, I wasn't sure I would enjoy it. I was nice having everything planned out for us.

Having never been to Europe, I was concerned about an unfamiliar cuisine, and whether the meal sizes would be ample enough. I was pleasantly surprised how good the meals were, and meal portions were fine.

The bus was comfortable and Peter was a great driver.

I was amazed at all that Christophe knew. I was impressed when one of the tour participants had a question, and he obviously went home and researched it, and went out of his way to seek out the questioner and discuss his findings the next day.

Milan is a great person and very personable. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and doing okay.

5-day Normandy Invasion review

The hotel was actually better than what I expected from the photos. The lobby was attractive. The bed was very comfortable (memory foam mattress)!

I was leery about booking a tour, but now that it's over, I have decided I love them. It was wonderful to turn my brain off and not have to think about planning, logistics, or meals. I felt confident that the tour included all or most of the important sights to see. It was also great as an opportunity to further my learning about D Day. Finally, it was great fun to "bond" with the others on the tour, albeit for only 5 days. It was a fun group!

See above. I thought the tour was very well organized and it was great to leave the planning to the professionals instead of going it alone. I can't say enough about how wonderful your tour manager Milan was! And Christoph was amazing with his level of knowledge about the Normandy invasion. My sense is that your tours are grounded in a genuine regard and appreciation for history, as well as respect and regard for the sacrifices made by all those who fought and died. I was particularly moved by the human interest stories pertaining to D Day. For those reasons, I would definitely recommend Procom to others!

I thought the meals were all superb. I especially loved the lunch on Monday at the inn in the countryside.

Peter, our driver, was amazing! I was super impressed with his ability to maneuver the motor coach in tight, small rural roads. I always felt safe with Peter. My only small complaint, and it's minor, is that the TV screen was kind of small, at least from where I was sitting. But no big deal.

Christophe was impressive! He is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about Operation Overlord. He is genuinely passionate about the history of that era, and has completed amazing research. He was wonderful.

I just loved Milan! A warm, friendly, and knowledgeable tour manager, with a genuine love of and appreciation for history. He was very attentive to all of us. I got sick on the trip, and he went out of his way to make sure I was able to navigate the process of filling my prescription at a pharmacy in Arromanches. He is a definite asset to your organization! I hope I have the pleasure of seeing him again someday on another tour!

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

Excellent

I think they could have sent a little more detail about what to expect

I would have liked to have known ahead of time how many hours we would be traveling from location to location on the bus and also how much free time we would have.

I really liked being in old town Bastogne, it would be nice if you could be in walking distance to the old historic sites or parts of town.

The tour was excellent and covered a lot of content. I would suggest giving folks a little more down time on the bus, as it is hard to focus and listen continuously for hours on the bus as well as the tours. I would also try to include some other historic sites along the way like Neuschweinstein in case people don't want to go the Eagle's Nest and add an afternoon in Salzburg or other options. I have recommended the tour to several people!

The bus was comfortable, driver was excellent. Felt very safe.

Charlie did a great job.

Excellent

Excellent guide-really enjoyed hearing his personal experiences.

I felt this tour was a little long.

We didn't make it back from lunch in time for the tour.

Interesting place with gorgeous views but we were there too long--should offer an afternoon in Salzburg or an alternative trip to a castle

Good knowledge and easy to understand but given the topic he as presenting sometimes he seemed a little flippant which could be offensive to some

Good but hard to understand.

Excellent tour but hard to hear and understand the guide

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

It was pretty easy to complete everything without much assistance.

Very thorough with a lot of details. Liked the fellow passenger information.

Some local maps during the free time periods showing WC, hotel location and important local sties and resources. Not, Just go down this road and it is the center of town.

The first and last hotels were very satisfactory. The Hotel Melba was perfectly enjoyable and homey.

I am totally satisfied with my experience and so glad I came. Thanks for providing such an excellent outcome on my investment.

Seeing the sites bring the stories and the movies and television programs to life. The cemeteries remind us of the cost and the sacrifice to restore freedom.

I always felt safe and he was very courteous as well. Having drinks available was also a plus.

Very organized, pleasant, informative, personable and really loved what he did. He appreciated his freedom from the sacrifice of all the young Americans who fought and was totally sincere about it.

Really liked this town, its rich history, the fox holes, seeing the town of Foy, our guide was fantastic having lived at the time and the 101 HQ, barracks and the vehicle restoration area were excellent.

Went to the 101st Airborne Museum instead. It was excellent.

Inspiring

Sad

I learned a lot on the walking tour important to the development of the war. The guide was extremely knowledgeable.

A lot of time and effort just to see something that takes about only 30 minutes but glad I saw it anyway. Though there was more to the place.

Very authentic and nicely preserved.

Very nice town and the 360 movie was great.

No words are fitting enough.

Very nice site, bathroom not open was disappointing and inconvenient.

Enjoyed all three.

Such a famous part of the saga.

9-day WW2 Bucket List on a Budget review

The tour checked all my boxes. The people, guides, and Charlie were excellent. So much information. Very impressed with the guides. It was information overload, but I still appreciated it. At times I wish we could have had a little more free time but then I would have had to give something up and I wouldn't have wanted to give anything up,so it's not really a criticism, it's more a quandary within myself. The tour kept us going, it was a brisk schedule. I realize at any time we could have opted out certain things, but I wouldn't have wanted to. I guess I'm saying I really loved the tour in all its aspects.

I don't know how he navigated through those narrow streets in the cities but he was great.

The breakfast at the Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach was just ok. However, the Hotel Golden Tulip Olymp was very good.

It was very well planned. There was no wasted time. The local guides were knowledgeable and open to questions. They went out of their way to make sure our meals met our dietary meals. The trip totally exceeded my expectations.

I am lactose intollerant and wrote this on my form. However, in the restaurant in Munich they did not have a dessert suitable for me.

Charlie was the best tour director ever!

All great hotels. Clean, safe, good food and great access to the town.

I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.

Excellent tour, full of historical details even the most avid passenger wouldn't know, having local guides and managers gave a new perspective to what you've learned before. Accommodates solo and solo female travelers, which is hugely important. Very, Very highly recommended to anyone and everyone who asks.

Excellent and accommodated those of us with special dietary needs.

A little more air conditioning and access to charging stations. Janis is an excellent driver. I don't know how he made some of the turns he needed to. Great.

Great input without going over the top.

Lots of walking. Loaded with personal stories that brought it all to life.

Incredibly fortunate to have a survivor share his lifelong history.

Life changing.

Life changing.

Beyond outstanding. Knowledgeable, never flustered, completely in control, excellent balance between Charlie and the daily tour guides, never a hitch in plans (that was obvious to the passengers). Nobody better. Can't imagine a tour with anyone else.

Realize he was a last minute substitute. Totally fascinating. Great choice.

Efficient and friendly.

"My Trip" site very useful and a good idea!

Advance notice of hotel info would have been helpful to give to family members tho not crucial with cell phones.

Clean, adequate, food well prepared.

Very well organized and conceived with excellent guides, adequate hotel and meals. I would strongly recommend you without hesitation.

All quite good!

Peter is a fatso and should lose some weight!

Museum excellent.

French guide excellent.

Superior in every way, had details and stories at every stop. Excellent!

Omaha area surprisingly congested with coastal homes.

Canadian volunteer friendly and very good.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Your consultants answered all questions in a timely manner throughout the process.

Procom is excellent in providing information specific to the tour. I loved the periodic emails with interesting information about WWII. I regret that when we booked the tour, I only provided my email when their were four of us scheduled for the tour. My travel mates had to rely on my forwarding these interesting WW2 emails. The info-emails provided interesting build-up and talking points prior to our tour.

We enjoyed each of the hotels and were grateful for the efforts to satisfy our dietary restrictions. Breakfast choices were fabulous at all three hotels.

Unprecedented.

I don't know how it could have been better. All facets of the tour were fabulous and the weather was unbelievable. While you can't guarantee the weather or the luck-of-the-draw for tour mates, I've never spent a more enjoyable 10 days, met such lovely people, or learned so much on a trip in my life. Of course, I would recommend your tour!

Breakfast was fabulous everywhere, as was the food service. The food was delicious and offered entrees specific to the areas visited. I felt horrible that we had food restrictions that were not always easy to solve. While great care was taken to satisfy everyone, I was sad that we were among those who had to be accommodated. Thank you. We ate well and loved every bite.

I'm speechless as to how fabulously John could maneuver our beautiful coach throughout the tour.

Steve is a brilliant guide whose extra photos and stories before and after our site visits added new dimensions to all we were viewing. All of the guides, especially Charlie, made this an unforgettable tour. I would think there are many schools/universities who would offer college credit for the level of learning provided through the guides. Simply astounding!

Exceptional. His energy, enthusiasm and compassion brought D-Day to life and reverence to those who gave the ultimate. He is an artist who paints a stunning on-site portrait of what happened at each of the sites we visited.

What a teacher, gentleman and treasure of this area. I will never forget him. Nothing can replace learning from someone who lived through what happened here. What an honor to meet him!

Our guides Charlie and Rudy and all sights exceeded my highest expectations. The size and structure of the German bunkers made me understand the need for the infantry to take out the troops manning them. Bombing the bunkers did little more than warn the Germans that the Allies were coming. So proud of our soldiers, but shocked at the great cost of lives.

Our guide at the Pegasus Bridge was so professional and knowledgeable as we arrived near the end of their work day. We were never rushed but learned much about the gliders and interesting facts about this bridge and importance to the war effort.

This area was the main focus of the tour for me. As in everything about the tour, it exceeded my expectations. Our guide, Henri Minon, was no less than amazing. I will never forget his stories and the sites of this area. I felt like my father was with me many times on this day. I know he was - I could smell his cigar!

All the museums were exceptional but the video/movie presentations were the highlight of every visit. The talent of the producers in creating these surround visuals and sound cannot be overstated. Simply not to be missed museums!

Beautiful, peaceful place and such an honor to visit this lovely final resting place of Patton and experience the laying of the wreath with veteran members of our tour group. Hearing "Taps" and enjoying our exceptional guide's walk and commentary brought tears, again. I was blessed by the experience and a prayer of gratitude.

Dachau was the only site I had previously visited - in 1999. It had changed so much from what I remembered. Our guide, Robert, was excellent and the atrocities that occurred here were brought to light in appalling photos and explanations. The Beyond Band of Brothers tour did an excellent job of showing us what happened from the beached of Normandy through the Battle of the Bulge and then in Munich and surrounding areas, we learned greater detail of why the Allied troops need stop this. It was alarmingly too late for millions.

Very interesting and incredibly sad that such evil had it's birthplace here. So interesting to hear Hitler's story. I'll never understand how other human beings could be led to be so lacking in compassion and empathy for their fellow man.

This beautiful area looks similar to our mountains in Colorado yet housed greed, evil and such unspeakable disregard for humanity. It's hard to believe that such beauty and hate co-existed in this place. I'm so glad these sites were included on the tour. It brought depth and meaning to the Allied efforts in WWII. Thank you.

If there were ten stars to give, he would get them all from me. He managed our tour with grace, humor and professionalism from start to finish. I was especially impressed with his ability to cautiously explain difficult subjects without entering too deep into the politics. Brilliant manager, teacher and guide. Bravo!

Again, the Bulge tours were at the center of my interest. I cannot thank Charlie, Henri, and the bus driver for enduring the heavy traffic and road construction to show us areas where my father's division (117th Infantry, 30th Division) was during 1944-45. I'll never forget the stories Henri told us and the ubiquitous markers for the headquarters and battle sites. Remarkable that the area citizens have embraced their history and allowed us "late-comers" to view our combined history.

Sobering. Impressive. Omaha Beach was HUGE. I had no idea that the beach was more than a mile wide at low tide. Soldiers were such lambs led to slaughter. I cried again and again, but was truly stunned at the size of this beach where my father landed. No wonder soldiers didn't talk about it. One wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it.

I somehow missed this history lesson. So impressive. A brilliant solution to making the D-Day operation and war supply possible.

German fortifications astounding. Our young Canadian guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic in leading us through the bunkers and sights. Impressive museum.

Not an easy task to be a guide at Dachau. Such an uncomfortable subject but very well done. The site got very busy with other groups so I missed hearing him in some areas.

All were GREAT. If anything was missing "Charlie" MADE IT HAPPEN!

Sincerely the best job and tour I have been on...just great job. "Everything" was thought of and covered... thanks for a great job.

5 star everywhere...something for everyone. I tried mostly local fare!

more TV screens, better air, better Wi-Fi. all very small things, would not make a decision to go or not go based on these 3 items. However everything else was so outrageously great that's all I could come up with.

unbelievable, knowledge, attitude, helpfulness.... can't say enough

Rudy as well as all of the guides were 5 star

The guide with the British was superb!

Henri super!

Jennifer was exceptional

ROBERT WAS EXCEPTIONAL

Attentive, super attitude, humorous, followed up behind all of us...nothing was left at a stop that wasnot returned to the owner on the bus...great followup.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Hotels were all beautiful with BOUNTIFUL breakfasts. Couldn't have found better!

Best tour ever. Completely exceeded expectations. We felt safe, comfortable, well served.

Absolutely outstanding. The tour itinerary and agenda brought 1944 to life. The hotels were superb. The fellow travelers were engaging. I especially liked the first night when we all introduced ourselves and told about our relatives who had been in WWII. That information stimulated further conversations during the tour meal times.

French meals were below average, but the meals in Belgium and Germany were great.

John took us to places with that bus that defied geometry! The bus was comfortable though I would like to have been able to get more air flow to my area.

rudest guide ever on any previous tour or cruise. Charlie could have provided the same information and done a better job

I did have trouble understanding his accent unless I was right in front of him.

Great presentations

Superb!

Henri was magnificent.

So moving to take part in the wreath ceremony. And so proud of Don's career military service.

Robert was the best guide of all! So incredibly knowledgeable and he was able to insert humor and levity in this devastating tour. I could listen to him lecture for DAYS

I did not like the guide at all. He was rude and condescending at our first encounter and very rude when we asked for the agenda so we could determine in advance whether it would be too challenging for us physically. Even when I confronted him re his rudeness, he was unapologetic. I strongly urge that he be dropped from affiliation with band of brothers tour.

Beautiful scenery. thanks for rearranging the agenda so we had good weather while we were up there.

Can't give enough stars to Charlie. He was pro-active in watching for and identifying any problems or issues including checking at mealtimes to make sure everyone was satisfied! Knowledgeable. Humorous. Down to earth. Would like to specify that he be the tour manager for any future tours we go on.

So moving!

Very interesting. Incredible ingenuity to make a harbor where non existed. Astounding that those heavy structures could be washed ashore.

Absolutely the best

I would recommend this tour to any and all

I'm just a picky eater and did not care for much of the food in France. Belgium was okay. Germany was very good

The wifi was non-existent. John is an amazing and safe driver. He drove those narrow roads like a pro! Felt safe the whole time

Charlie did a fantastic job

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Debra was great to work with

Great location, clean, friendly staff, wonderful breakfast and dinners. My favorite was the Golden Tulip in Munich. My room had a King size bed, walk in shower and modern bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful and dinner was delicious.

Excellent

To me it was a tour of a lifetime. My husband passed away last year and he would have loved this tour as he was a WW11 history buff. However, three of my sons and my great nephew were with me and it was memorable. There is nothing I would change. When I think of it now, I feel total joy

all The meals were wonderful with the exception being The Cafe Omaha. I think we were expecting an American grilled cheese and it was made differently so wasn’t well received but itwasn’t Awful. All the other meals were wonderful

John was unbelievable. He drove the bus like it was a VW. I felt very safe while he was behind the wheel.

Charlie was the best. He was friendly but kept everyone on schedule. He was always available to answer questions. He has a great sense of humor and kept us entertained on our long rides. I always looked forward to seeing his smiling face every morning. I miss having him tell us the BOB time. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide!!

Rudy was awesome. Witty, knowledgeable, friendly and very personable

Amazing. To hear stories from someone who lived through the war was a privilege

Rudy was awesome: knowledgeable, engaging, witty and personable.

Remarkable. Very good tour guide And Museum

Somber. Hard to imagine how they survived.

The best war museum of the tour. Loved the C47 simulator

Seeing General Patton’s grave was very special.

It changed my life and made me realize how precious our freedoms are.

Breathtaking views. I couldn’t believe the elevator: it was magnificent. How such beauty and evil existed side by side is beyond comprehension

No enough stars to rate Charlie

Made me realize the scope of the war. There were so many who lost their lives all over the northern arc of the bulge

The full experience: the beach, the defenses and the cemetery. Unforgettable

I wasn’t aware of the Mulberry Harbour until our stop there. Very interesting

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The museum helped explained the landing.

As an American, he had a unique story to tell. He’s a student of history and of Germany. We saw sights I wouldn’t have known existed.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I found the folks at the office to be pleasant and prompt in their responses. They made this very easy.

Procom obviously takes pride in this aspect of the program as the trip page and historical tidbits were informative and insightful.

I enjoyed each hotel and the differences from each. Clearly there is a style of hotel that Procom chooses and it is clear after the fact why that They were all clean and well run. Staffs were helpful and food services enjoyable.

Excellent and thinking about tour # 2

See above. I have already praised the company to other friends and fully plan to avail myself of Procom's services in the future.

In most cases the food was quite good. The lunch at Omaha was not up to par. My exceptions are more based on my food choices than any problem with service.

John was an excellent driver and a very hospitable man in his own right.

Excellent all and thanks to each guide. They were pros and fully engaged with our group.

I think that we were most fortunate to get Charlie for this tour. I realize that he was fine tuning some new guides and that he may have fewer tours in the future, but he is the real deal as far as I am concern. His depth of knowledge is most impressive and his personal touch with the group was outstanding. We were lucky.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The shower at Hotel Mercure was not enclosed resulting in water all over the bathroom floor. The manager (owner?) at Hotel Melba was absolutely delightful and very helpful. Golden Tulip Hotel was wonderful.

We did the tour as a family of four - our son and daughter-in-law have had a long-standing interest in WW II history and it was a great bonding experience. Yes, I would definitely recommend this tour to others with a similar interest. My husband and I are at the stage in our lives that when we travel, we want to go with a professional and well-run tour operator so that we don't have to worry about anything, and Procom met all those requirements.

Each of the guides were enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the areas on which they joined us. One could really feel their passion about the history of the the events that occurred at each area.

Fantastic museum!

As a Jew, this was an extremely emotional tour for me but it was something I needed to see.

Charlie was fantastic.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I asked a lot of questions before making the booking. It was important to have answers prior to spending the money. I got great answers. Only one thing was wrong that I was told.

Loved the updates and information that came in. It was very helpful. We got several of the books, and had already seen most of the movies. The phrases were good, but very simple.

The Mercure was beautiful. The only issue was the maid would leave the window open to our room, which was located on the first floor enabling anyone to enter the room through the window. The Melba was wonderful! Great breakfast, and chocolates on the pillows! The Golden Tulip was the best hotel. It had spacious rooms, large bathrooms, and an incredible breakfast bar!

Great service, and knowledgeable people.

I truly enjoyed all but one day. I would recommend this tour for the sights visited, the information given, and the guides. And if Charlie was the manager, definitely for him.

I thought the meals were wonderful. It was nice to get some local flair with the food and taste some local meals.

The bus was great. Absolutely loved John, our driver!

Steve was interesting, knowledgeable and easy to talk with.

Rudy was great! He was informative, knowledgeable, fun, interesting. I wished he could have stayed for the whole tour!

Henri was interesting to listen to and hear the first hand accounts.

Loved Utah Beach.

Interesting, but not my highest priority. Did not really need the museum guide.

A little disappointed. While Henri was great to listen to, and learn from, we spent a lot of time on the bus, with 5 minutes off the bus. Would have liked to spend more time walking and seeing.

Interesting artifacts. Rude other groups who made it almost impossible to see the films.

Loved the smaller feel. It was nice witnessing the wreath ceremony.

A moving and sobering experience. Everyone should go.

Love Munich. I was expecting a little more from the Third Reich Tour

Incredible.

Can I give more than 5 stars? Charlie was absolutely incredible. He made sure everything ran smoothly. He was always available and visible. Loved Charlie!

Listening to Henri’s stories was great. I felt like this was almost a let down as most of the time was spent on the bus and not walking and seeing.

Visiting the Cemetery and Omaha beach was a moving and sobering experience. One I would not trade.

Very interesting visiting Arromanches.

Definitely enjoyed visiting Juno!

Robert was fun and interesting. He had information we had not heard before.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The company is very professional and easy to work with.

Loved all the information that we received prior to leaving. Great communication

I had asked about refrigerators in the rooms, and the availability of freezer space for ice packs. We had to ask the front desk about freezing the ice packs for us, and we were told that all hotels have refrigerator/freezers in the rooms. The last hotel did not, but were willing to take care of what we needed refrigerated and frozen!

All of the hotels were very nice and comfortable. We were on the ground floor of the Hotel Mercure, and the maid kept leaving the window open (this was a concern as anyone could have entered the room when we were not there). The Hotel Melba was wonderful and left Belgium Chocolate on the pillows for us. The Golden Tulip had the best breakfast bar!

Love the tour, the staff, and everything provided.

Great tour! We would recommend the tour for the sights and experiences. The people you meet, the staff, and the food. Best tour I’ve been on!

Most of the meals were incredible. The only meal that we did not enjoy was the meal at Utah Beach in the smaller cafe. It was basically a grilled cheese sandwich with a tiny amount of ham. Love being able to try local fare and going to restaurants that provided good food!

The tour bus was very comfortable. John, our driver was awesome. His driving skills made us very comfortable and relaxed. The only suggestion we have is somehow have a tv also further back in the bus so everyone could enjoy the pictures, movies and other things shown on the screen.

Steve had all the answers to questions asked. He was informative and helpful.

Rudy was a lot of fun, and imparted information professionally and passionately.

Henri had a lot of information, and was interesting to listen to first hand accounts.

Going to Utah was incredible. Rudy gave us so much information, and was an awesome guide!

This was interesting. Enjoyed seeing the bridge and the museum!

Not much time off the bus. Henri was very informative.

Interesting museum. The crowds there made seeing the films difficult. Many interesting items.

Wonderful intimate Cemetery. Loved being a part of the laying of the wreath ceremony.

A very sobering place. So important for everyone to see so hopefully it does not happen again.

Love Munich. I was hoping for more from the Third Reich tour.

Stunning views, and interesting with Steve. He had a wealth of information!

Charlie was wonderful. He was entertaining, professional, informative and caring. He saw to every detail while making everything look seamless. He was always available if a problem arose or we had questions.

A little disappointing as we did not do much walking. Henri was interesting and informative. The best part was seeing the dragons teeth! Would like to see more sights included, or places where we could get out of the bus for more than 5 minutes.

Loved doing this day. It was sobering and incredible.

This was incredible. Very moving, and amazing.

Very interesting.

Robert has an interesting and informative style. I enjoyed the way he imparted information.

We traveled 5 hours to Lexington to meet her. She was very professional.

You have done your homework. It was an A+ tour. You showed us near exact situations that our young men and women experienced during WWII. By touring these sites, we better understand the price paid for our freedom. This tour was an experience of a lifetime! Thank you!

We ate better on tour than we do at home!

John was the best. He was safe and maneuvered through difficult driving situations.

I fell 2 times trying to jump 18 inches down onto beach. He should offer the ramp to those who cannot jump down.

The best! Please document his knowledge on film. Don't know how long we will have him!

Excellent presenter, her enthusiasm was contagious.

Henri Mignon was excellent. To hear it 1st hand was the best.

Being included in the wreath ceremony was very moving.

Viewing the camp was the best. Mr Johnson was too long winded and shared too much detail. We left the group to see the camp in the allowed time.

Again left the group due to Mr Johnson.

So appreciated Charlie switching morning and afternoon activities so we could see Eagle's Nest in the sun! Beautiful!

We were lucky to have Charlie. He is the best,as you know.

Please offer "ramp" to access Omaha beach for those who cannot handle the 18 inch jump to the beach.

Great Tour, AAAAA. It is everything you could ask for and more.

Most of group were older and my wife fell twice on Nomandy Beach because he did not say anything about a ramp down to the beach which would have made it easier for her and not cause her to fall.

Very knowledgable and most interesting guide. To many memorial sites stopped at.

Guest speaker talked to much detail.

THE BEST!!!!!

You walk away from this tour proud to be an American! I believe every American should go over to Normandy to see what we American's did for France and the world! Procom put together a tour that my 13 year old granddaughter just loved. After seeing all of the movies, beaches and pictures it all came together in the end. You could picture it your mind. Anyone loving World War II should go on this tour!!

The last night at the hotel has way too much food. Felt bad about leaving so much on my plate! Great food and very diversified.

Very comfortable, had internet on the bus most of the time. Always on time, no wrecks and very capable of driving on small roads!

He took care of us like family.

12(+1) day Pearl Harbor to the Marianas review

Debra Watkins has done a fantastic job in assisting us with the trip booking and information.

Breakfasts were good. Lunches were good - local restaurants that we used had good food. Dinners were not great. The buffets were 90% fish/seafood. When completing our eating requirements before the tour, I mentioned that I did not eat fish/seafood. Therefore, there wasn't much of a selection for me. There should have been other options available.

Don was very knowledgeable about Saipan and Tinian. However, when on a tour, we do not need political interjections. Just stick to the facts.

We were unable to get off the bus to visit cemetery.

12-day Pacific+Okinawa review

I enjoyed the Okinawa segment but I would find it hard to recommend as the WW2 sights are now mostly residential. Museums excellent.

No problems here.

Camille did an excellent job made easy because there were only 4 of us.

Most of the WW2 sights are now residential so not a lot to be seen.

Excellent and detailed Knowledge but delivery style too fast for us. I kinda felt he was addressing a group of recruits on boot camp. But we enjoyed his company nonetheless.

16(+1)-day Pearl Harbor to Okinawa review

The process was easy.

The information was pretty good. The itinerary before the trip was different from what we were given during the trip however. Although minor, it was a little confusing for plans for your free time.

Ohana advertised workout facilities and pool but what they had was limited. Hilton Guam and Fiesta Resort were great. Double Tree was pretty good although hotel restaurant was limited.

Was overall very happy with tour.

I would recommend the first 2 legs of the tour: Hawaii, Guam/Saipan and Tinian because you learn a lot and see some great sites. I would not recommend the Okinawa tour-there isn't really enough to see and the quality of the local guides were overall not great.

Meals were ok. Never a huge fan of hotel buffets but the restaurants we went to were mostly great.

Would have liked to see Camille step in with the guide Chris to talk to him about his pacing/talking too much, etc. I know she asked him to talk a little slower and that helped a little. The tour overall felt like it was well organized under Camille and I was never confused about where I needed to be or when. Here and there it would have been nice for Camille to say what was coming next each day-we had our itineraries but not everyone carried them and during the day it would be nice to know what is happening next more often. That might just be me though.

Camille was great and the tour went very smoothly overall.

Must See.

A great hike and views. Although not WW2 focused I enjoyed this. This list doesn't include Fort deRussy which I thought was a really good stop.

Another must see with the signing ceremony deck and the exhibits downstairs.

Great collection, well laid out. One of my favorite stops of tour.

This was fun although only minimally WW2 themed.

The history, bunkers, caves, and museums of Guam were great. Guam was a good mix of different kinds of sights and most were very good. Some fo the natural beauty of Saipan that wasn't Ww2 related was fun too.

Saipan had several great sites and the Sherman Tanks off the beach was another highlight of the trip. The plane ride to Tinian and the exploration of the runways and other items associated with the Atomic Bombing of Japan were good sights.

Ok. Good knowledge. Bad sense of timing. Couldn't read the tour group very well.

Best guide by far. Great knowledge. Great personality. Fun.

The Museums of Okinawa were great but the battle sites were not. There isn't much left and so not much to see. Everything is so overgrown and developed that it is hard to appreciate.

Fine.

Good guide

Fine

Driving through the cemetery made this almost a waste of time.

Terrible Guide. Talked too fast, way too much and in detail that no one was really interested in. Didn't let us walk around and explore much and didn't manage time well. When we got to things we liked-like a museum, we were out of time because he had talked so much before. Also seemed to lie and exaggerate. He did have a lot of knowledge though.

Mark was better than Chris and I wish he could have been our guide for the whole Okinawa trip. Good knowledge. Good pacing.

12(+1) day Pearl Harbor to the Marianas review

Debra was extremely helpful, knowlegeable and professional.

Procom's organization of the tour including our guide was very good. A tour of World War II monuments and relics is very difficult because of the time that has passed. Camille was extremely knowledgeable and always available to resolve any issues. Our overall impression of the tour was good. We would recommend it to anyone interested in the Pacific Theatre of World War II.

I understand the geographical location warrants Asian food. However, options for dinners should have been made or us made aware prior to the tour that most Asian cuisine would be offered and very limited options for westerners. We had specified on the meal question that we did not eat seafood. 90% of all dinners were seafood options leaving a very limited selection for us. Breakfasts and lunches were good, though.

Camille was extremely knowledgeable about the factual information of World War II on the entire tour. She was very accommodating to all needs of any member of the tour. Camille is extremely professional and organized. She is a very important asset to Procom and we would tour with her at any time or place.

The local guide was very knowledgeable about the subject matter and the WW II location. However, he did interject many political opinions. We did not come on a tour to hear other's political opinions on controversial matters.

We were unable to stop to visit gravesites of known persons.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Was especially impressed by the daily emails with WWII snippets of information

I was very satisfied with all the hotels we stayed at, the service and meals they provided.

Loved the tour, have recommended it already! Here's why I loved it...once I got to the tour bus at CDG Airport, I didn't have to worry about anything (transportation, accommodations, food, museum fees, arranging for a guide).

We lacked for nothing

All very wonderful guides, giving us perspective and fact. Very enlightening

Excellent, very engaging

Very personable and enthusiastic

would have liked just a little more time here

Outstanding and Engaging. Robert worked very hard, we all were very impressed with his knowledge and work ethic. He's a very poised young man and a real asset to your tour firm.

This just wasn't my "thing"...a lot of off and on the bus, but gave me a real appreciation for the scope of the conflict

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Greatly appreciated the pre-tour recommended reading list.

H4 Hotel München Messe-Rooms and breakfast were excellent. Dinner was limited and average quality.

Tour was great. All we had to do was follow a few instructions because almost everything was handled for us.

Meals were excellent except for dinners at H4 Hotel Munchen Messe. We expected better for this tour.

Our driver, Peter, was excellent. He expertly handled a large bus on narrow roads and small car parks.

One of my tour highlights was Charles in Normandy discussing the actions on his family's farm.

Very knowledgeable.

Henri added greatly to my understanding. Although I had previously read books on the battles, the knowledge shared by Henri put the events in context. With local knowledge, Henri, was able to overcome some obstacles that would have hindered someone trying to tour the battleground on their own.

Greatly appreciated local, Charles, providing first-hand knowledge of events that don't appear in the history books.

The museum guide was wonderful.

With local knowledge, Henri, provided explanation and context which provided an understanding of a chaotic battleground.

Very well presented.

Greatly appreciated the tour's ceremony and presentations to our tour's veterans.

Did not participate. I know what happened and would not have been able to unsee the sight of man's inhumanity.

Impressed with local guide's knowledge of events leading to rise of Hitler.

Procom's planning enabled our group to easily enjoy a very crowded site.

Excellent dealing with wide range of participates' personalities.

Excellent because of local guide Henri.

A reminder of the sacrifices of so many men.

Makes one think of the lessons learned from earlier failure and the planning and logistics needed to succeed.

The volunteer Canadian guide was great and the Canadian museum was the best on reminding us of the reasons for the war.

We appreciated local's point of view.

The travel consultant was always very professional, friendly and pointed us in the right direction depending on what we needed.

We were very confident when we left for our trip because Procom had answered any questions we had.

The hotel was excellent, and the staff was always very friendly.

I was very impressed with the tour. All of the other people who were on the tour were very nice and a lot of fun. We were happy to find we had a lot in common with many of them and hope to keep in touch with them. I felt like the tour showed us a large area of sights that we may not have been able to see on our own. I would recommend the tour for that reason.

The meals were all excellent.

The bus driver was a great driver and very professional.

He was very informative, and gave us a feeling of the local villages.

He was very professional and made us laugh.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

This review is for the Civil War Tour, on day 1 in D.C. we were dropped at the Smithsonian American History Museum. Not being familiar with this museum it would have been helpful to have been given guidance to start at the top where there are actual exhibits relevant to the Civil War as well as American Military and the Presidents. Not knowing this many of squandered our time on lower floors viewing unrelated exhibits.

The Hyatt in Richmond offered the best dining experience.

This tour satisfied my interest in putting feet on the ground at many of these iconic battle fields and learning more about them. Like anything there's room for improvement but considering this one of your newest tours no doubt it will get better. Overall Procom offers a good value for your money and that's why I'd recommend taking a trip with you folks. I will be back for another.

Nothing special. The best dinner was at the Hyatt in Richmond. The box lunches from 'Porkbellies" (not sure if that's right name) were pretty tiresome after the first or second one. I spent many years in the military and can eat very fast, for some of our elderly passengers eating quickly on the bus was a challenge.

The driver was terrific, skilled wheelman and good personality and sense of humor. I missed the Mercedes coaches you use in Europe. Having the second door in the rear of the bus really helps speed up passengers getting on/off the coach, especially with a number of elderly passengers often with decreased mobility.

Overall Debra did OK, I understand this was her fist solo tour and juggling all of the various situations is not an easy task and she succeeded. The airline changed my departure flight to a very early time and she personally made sure I got to the airport on time which I very much appreciated. My only real complaint was the diversion on the way to Appomatox to Highbridge which I previously mentioned. Don't feel it was appropriate to hijack the tour to satisfy 2 people. If they really wanted to go there she possibly could have helped them secure alternate transportation and let them break off on their own instead of inconveniencing the rest of us. I've no doubt she'll get better with more experience. My only comparison is with the guide I had for your 11-day Band of Brothers European tour, she was "5-star" so maybe I was just spoiled.

See previous comment, minimal relevance to the tour subject matter.

You can't go wrong seeing the Lincoln Memorial, always inspiring.

While historically significant not a lot to see there.

A great experience, no amount of reading or map study will give you the same understanding of what the soldiers there faced. The guide was superb at explaining the difficulties the terrain there faced the leaders in making decisions on moving their troops effectively.

Again while significant not a lot to see there.

Quite interesting, being in the second group for the last day of the tour felt a bit rushed. Never had much time to visit downtown Gettysburg when anything was actually open for business.

Did not participate.

Absolutely wonderful, sadly did not get much time to see it. It's been many years since my last visit to Gettysburg and the newly renovated Cyclorama display and the new museum and gift shop are superb.

Very moving

Quite good for an abridged tour given the time allowed. Have had the opportunity on active duty to tour the battlefield with a historian from the Army War College and naturally this gave more insight.

Once more historically significant but not a lot to see there.

Very interesting and the Park Service Guide was excellent.

Wonderful, the restoration of the old Executive Mansion is amazing. The adjacent museum is excellent and has so many historically significant artifacts it's well worth seeing. The many other related curiosities are also fascinating.

Sadly we made a detour off the itinerary to accommodate the wishes of two guests to see some obscure battle site on the way where they had ancestors fight. This side trip took far longer than our guide anticipated and we literally had to rush through Appomatox. Would probably have enjoyed it more if I had time to see it. Not pleased the whole group was Shanghaied for the convenience of just two people.

Not so much Civil War related

It's unfortunate that Arlington House is a mess due to a major restoration project but understandable. As far as the cemetery itself it's an incredible place and every time I visit it's always moving. I look forward to taking up permanent residence some day.

He's OK, knows the cemetery well. A bit overly obsessed with 'bas relief' sculptures.

Did fine job explaining the events that took place there.

See prior comments on Antietam. Joe really made it clear how hard it would be as a troop commander trying to maneuver your forces on that difficult terrain and how it would hamper your decision making because you would so often be blind to enemy movements.

She did alright, not a ton to see at this site.

A good general overview of the key events that took place at this site.

Excellent, great explanation of what occurred and told his story with a sense of drama that was compelling.

He knows the cemetery well and was able to show us things that I'd never seen there before.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

An overall map to make it easy to follow the route while on the tour. This would help put into perspective where one battlefield is related to another. During the trip, I would review a book by Jeff Shaara that covered 10 Civil War battlefields to help me prepare for the next day's adventure. However his maps were of each battlefield, outlining the strategies and tactics. Given that I did not want to carry a book with me on the bus, I did not have this book with me. It would be nice to have a map, even if it was simply a road map, to see where we were, where we were going. It was also a little confusing on some days when we covered more than one battlefield on the same day, in the same area, but the battles were fought in different years.

I love the fact that even with expansion they still have a small company feel. I always am treated as a friend when I call the office, not just a customer. I am never pressured with "What tour can I book for you today?"

This as our second BBOB tour, we have already booked a third. We love this company, look forward to a fourth, a fifth, and more tours!

While I understand the convenience of box lunches they are difficult to eat in a bus when there is no tray. Would have been nice to have choices of meat. If box lunches are planned, why not poll the group the day before then send in the order for X number of ham, Y number of turkey? The best box lunch was when we were able to eat the lunch while stopped at a combined rest stop & picnic area. The worst was the day (I believe this was the last box lunch?) we had to eat the lunches in a very short time on the bus. The "served" restaurants were great. The time for lunch and the underground rr tour at the Dobbins House should have been coordinated better. I am sure I was not the only one that realized the tour was about to start when I was just finishing my lunch. The BBQ place and the "biker bar", both of which were substitutes for the normal stops, were bad and should not be used again.

No tray. No netting or pocket to place materials you needed to access regularly.

So much enthusiasm! The only fault was the few times she seemed to have conversations with those in the front and did not include those of us in the rear.

BUT… instead of letting us "run loose" on that first day, why were we not directed to the 3rd floor with the exhibit on the Civil War? My wife and I stayed 3 days after the tour, returned to this museum, found that 3rd floor information here to be quite valuable. Would have been nice to have seen this first.

Well due to the heat it was not as pleasant as it could have been.

Would have been nice to have more time to walk around after an orientation by the tour guide to appreciate the history here.

I give this 5 stars BUT: It was very difficult to get the "lay of the land", how the battle here unfolded. Too much on and off the bus with short "looking and seeing". Granted this is a rather large battlefield necessitating bussing to different points. This is why I think the overall tour should be extended by 3 days to allow an extra day in some locations. Needed and wanted more time here. An extra day in Antietam would, I think, eliminate the hop on/off tour of the battlefield. It would also allow more walking of the battlefield with and without the tour guide, allow time to review signage, etc.

A nice balance of walking from point to point with the guide.

Very interesting. Gave a fascinating perspective on the impact of war on the local population.

Why was the tour cut short, the tour guide seemed to admit this. Regardless, other than "ghost stories" not much of a ghostly tour. Is there a ghost tour that includes the cemetery??

Been here before, loved it again.

Been here before, loved it again. Learned a few things that I did not already know.

While I would have loved more time (see comments for Antietam), since I had been here before I focused on what the tour guide was telling us instead of trying to figure things out. On my previous trip I had spent parts of two days touring the battlefield, thus I already had a good sense of the flow of the 3-day battle. The information learned on this trip added to what I already understood. Having said that, extending the overall tour by 3 days (again see Antietam comments) would allow for more time on the battlefield. Why not have time in Devil's Den, for example?

Fascinating. Well done, nice walking tour. Excellent pace.

Would have liked more time here. Felt a little rushed.

Since I had been here before, granted 30+ years ago, I opted to not do the movie but instead walk the grounds on more own. Really helped me get a sense of how things unfolded here.

Other than Arlington National Cemetery, Ford's Theatre, the Petersen House, each of which has Civil War history, what else did was see that was Civil War related? The next two survey items refer to these. Now we did see some interesting sites, learned some things I did not know, but what was covered, what am I forgetting, that was Civil War related???

Now I never had given any thought about why the headstones here are so varied as compared to American military cemeteries oversees. I now have some sense of that, wish to study more on this subject. And will probably buy Jim Carr's book that he made sure we knew he had written and is soon to be published. A lovely and solemn time on America's hallowed ground covering all aspects of the history of this site.

Very knowledgeable but at times a bit conceited

Very knowledgeable, personable

Excellent! Very knowledgeable, personable

He was a little better here, perhaps than the first day. Perhaps because it was cooler?

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

A map of how we got from one location to another would have been very helpful. The bus driver knew where he was going, but the passengers find it useful to follow the roads. It would allow the passengers to be able to plan future trips to the locations of interest and also, when tour guides talk about where brigades, etc. were on the ground during the battles, they often used current roads to guide you. Without passengers having a map during our travels, we were unfamiliar with the roads in the areas. I would also have appreciated knowing how much bus riding and looking out of windows we were going to do vs actually getting out and walking around. I DO NOT like trying to see things from a bus window and sitting on a bus or standing listening to a guide for hours. I would much rather walk the grounds, read the signs, as well as listen to the tour guide. Some days there was too much bus riding and standing after we got off the bus.

Would love it if they could help with bags a bit more, but it was okay. The company is really quite helpful and is there when you need them.

Food was okay, not spectacular, but good. Too many box lunches and PLEASE, let's not eat on a moving bus. Some of us get car sick even without trying to juggle boxes with no tray tables. Best box lunch situation was the picnic stop. HAVE CHOICES for box lunches! Let people choose from turkey or ham, not just give them something. (I heard you have had bad luck with this, but we have been on a tour where we chose ahead several times in advance of stops and there was no trouble. You get what you pick based on description---how simple is that?) Worst thing was the biker bar---took 2 hours! Another bad situation was the barbecue dinner. The waitress never got around for drink orders and they knew we were coming with tickets for wine and beer. A bit too many buffets for my liking. Really enjoyed the dinner at Ebbett's Grill as it was plated service.

Bus had no trays and no place to put magazines, maps, etc. Watching movies was difficult if you were not near a screen, but the worst situation was you could not turn off the sound if you decided you did not want to watch. There should be individual sound controls.

Debra was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but I think, at times, needed to be more mature. At times she seemed to "play favorites" with the people in the front of the bus and the rest of us wondered what the "fun and laughter" was about up there. This sometimes happened at meals also. I think Debra could have relayed even more information during bus rides, but maybe this will come as this tour gets repeated. Her going over the reasons for the war, etc. was really good and maybe more of this information can be shared throughout to prepare us for each day and so forth. Debra dealt with problems well and never seemed to lose her "cool." I realize her job is a tough one.

We did not get enough introduction to this museum. We were new arrivals and I think did not know what to expect. More introduction to this afternoon and a handout about the museum before we got there with tour guide suggestions as to what to see/do when we got there would have really helped. After the BOB tour was over, my husband and I went back to this museum on our own and were awed by how much it had to offer. I was not prepared to work my way through this museum when we had just arrived and there was really no introduction to it.

This went fairly well and was informative. I never warmed up to the the tour guide although he did know his information.

This was an awesome place, but we were not given enough time here to explore. We needed to walk around more with the tour guide vs stand and listen to him.

This was probably the worst day because all we did was get on and off the bus and stand and listen to the tour guide. No time to explore the area or read the signs. Pointing things out from a moving bus is useless unless you are sitting in the front seat and can see out both sides and also see the tour guide point to things.

This stop was a bit better than Antietam mostly because I started walking away from the tour guide to see the signs and explore the battlefield areas. There was less standing and listening here than at Antietam, but still not the best situation. I would have liked to have toured the 2nd Bull Run, too.

This was a terrific stop. The tour was great. I learned a great deal about Gettysburg as a town in the 1860s as well as learned more about the battle as the story of this house and its inhabitants granted me a different perspective on those 3 days.

This was a great optional tour. I learned a lot about Gettysburg as a town affected by the war through the stories that were told by the guide. The ghost stories were okay, but the historical information about the buildings and the college, etc. were wonderful.

Super and so glad we had time to return later.

This was also a great part of the trip although, again, there was a lot of standing and listening and then not enough time to explore the area.

I had been at this battlefield within the past 4 years so was familiar with it already, otherwise I might have felt we needed more time here. The on and off the bus thing was not too bad and there was a bit more time to explore, but could have used more.

Too much here to piece together. Tour guide a bit "over the top" on his feelings that the area was being consumed by strip malls. I get it, but maybe he should "rein it in" a bit. Stopping in the woods was good and if we got to wander a bit we learned more. Ellwood Farm was a great stop. Again, as so many other times, it would be better to have time to wander around and read the signs as well as hear the tour guide's comments.

I liked this stop as we were able to get out and walk the area some. Usually you could walk away from the tour guide, but still hear him and thus, able to learn more. The recreated trenches and the crater stop were the best.

This was good. I enjoyed the tour through the Confederate president's house. Museum was interesting also.

Our time here got condensed because we made a stop at Highbridge which was not included on the itinerary. I LOVED the stop at Highbridge, but because we were not given time guidelines, people took too long. I think the entire group should have voted on the extra stop and the entire day rearranged appropriately so that Appomattox was not short-changed. Appomattox could have been a much better experience, but the timing messed it up. Again, we needed time to explore on our own. We should not have had to choose whether to stay with the tour guide or wander on our own.

Not a highlight for me as we had done a lot of this on the first day. It did not seem to fit in very well with everything else. Seemed like filler prior to Arlington. Not sure what parts of this had to do with the Civil War.

I enjoyed this. I liked what our tour guide told us and appreciated the time at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the changing of the guard. I did not like the tour guide on the "special" bus as he talked was though he had to entertain small children. He should have been told this was a history group and change his tone. His information was fine, just that he delivered it as though he was on stage. Although we made a special stop for someone whose husband's ashes were interred, we got to see more of the cemetery this way and learned more about it. Probably not a good idea to do this and take everyone else along in the future as it can mess up the tour timing as it did on the Appomattox day.

Knew his stuff, but a bit conceited and I wondered if he was happy about being with us

I enjoyed his enthusiasm and knowledge. He tried to cover too much information, but I am not sure we can fault him for that. Perhaps he was asked to cover too much?

Too much detail, too much talking and standing. I just did not enjoy this stop.

She was knowledgeable and did a good job.

Good job, informative, answered questions well. I loved how he continued to repeat things so you could better understand the progression of the battles and why things happened the way they did.

He did a good job and really made you understand the problems that were unique to Petersburg. He made the history interesting.

He did okay on this day, but nothing spectacular.

11-day Italian Campaign review

They are outstanding, I was very satisfied.

Up front with all information I requested.

Bed was way too hard at Plaza Hotel, other then that they were very good.

Procom really try to give you the very tour for the money. First class all the way!

It was good, I think thirty two was too large a group. You get to see a lot of Italy, not as much WWII sights as I would have liked, but over all a great tour.

All the guides were good but Roberto and Max although very knowledgeable of their subjects, they went too deep in explaining them to us taking up too much time.

She was delightful, kept us informed and entertained ever day on the tour.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

Excellent service

I didn't know what to expect prior to the tour. It was a pleasant experience and yes, I would recommend it to someone. Looking forward to information on the new tours coming in 2018/2019 involving the civil war.

A bit more variety at breakfast and lunch would have been nice. Not more selection, just a bit of a change daily.

James was pleasant, entertaining and very helpful. A skillful driver.

Debra was great. She was on top of everyone's needs and anticipated everything ahead of time. Couldn't ask for better. Very pleasant and interesting.

Tour guide could have paced the walking to the age of the group

Superb, as always. 100% professional. Procom takes care of their people. I know I'm in good hands with you.

This was a great improvement over past tours. It offered fixed menus and some buffet choices. Much quicker than ordering off a menu or giving a choice. The restaurants were all ready for us and the service was quick and efficient. The food at A. Roma was truly exceptional.

Provide information on Churches, locations nearest to our hotels, and their hours for services on Sundays that can fit into the itinery/schedule.

Good accommodations overall.

I certainly would recommend the tour to others interested in the Civil War period.

Good overall with only one or two exceptions.

James was an awesome driver. Very diligent and courteous.

Excellent!

Would have been nice to know where the Civil War exhibition was from the get go. As it turned out, I stumbled into it after having spent time in other exhibits.

A heads up on the amount of walking involved ...

11-day Italian Campaign review

I worked with Debra Watkins and she was outstanding! She answered all my questions and made everything so easy. Have already started talking to her about my next trip.

Excellent! I really liked all the information that My Trip provided. Debra also answered any questions that I had about the trip that weren't in My Trip (very few). Camille Naray emailed me prior to my departure and provided me all the information I needed to find her at the airport.

I thought all the hotels were excellent. I only gave the Hotel Mandetta four stars because there was no hot water for the shower in the morning. Other than that, it was great. The A. Roma Lifestyle Hotel was the best though, with the most amenities, such as a business center. We had great meals at all the hotels.

Outstanding, from start to finish.

I had an awesome time. I enjoyed the historical sights, which made the WWII Italian campaign come alive from the history books. The food was universally delicious and plentiful (too plentiful at times I think). All the folks on the trip had the same interest in history that I did (unlike traveling with my kids for example). Perhaps best of all, it was relaxing. Everything was taken care of for us; all we had to do is follow Camille's instructions on when to be where. I would recommend your tours for all of the above, plus the great discount program you have. I plan to take advantage of it and book my next tour this week!

I was in pasta heaven! If anything, there was too much good food. Thank goodness we did as much walking as we did, so I didn't put on any weight during the trip. I thought that the restaurants selected for lunch and dinner were outstanding. Even the meals at the hotel were great.

The bus was comfortable and there was also plenty of water available for us. The drivers were awesome. I still don't know how they managed to navigate the crazy traffic in Italy, especially in the cities. Both of our drivers can drive better in reverse than I can driving forwards!

Our guide really made this day interesting.

I wasn't even aware of these temples in Sicily before this trip!

With all the reading I have done on the battles at Monte Cassino, it was incredible to finally enter it. One of the highlights of the tour for me.

I was so glad that we got to see the sight of the Rapido River crossing.

What an incredible museum! We could have easily spent the whole day looking at it.

Just amazed at the civilization that the Romans were able to create.

Just seeing the Eternal City for the first time, what an experience!

Incredible sights, but wow, 25,000 visitors a day, unbelievable!

I thought that they were universally excellent and added a dimension to the tour that I didn't expect. Many of them were very funny as well - "Traffic signs in Italy are just for decoration!"

It was pretty awesome to actually see bunkers from WWII.

Camille is awesome! She took great care of all 32 of us during the entire tour, no easy task. Everything flowed so smoothly, but I know that it took a lot of work on her part to make that happen. She is such a joy to be around. I am hoping to go on another tour with her in the future.

Of all the things that surprised me during this trip, was how I felt during the visits to the German, Commonwealth, American and Polish cemeteries. Very emotional experiences. So happy to see how well cared for they are. Especially enjoyed the individual stories that the guides shared with us about some of the fallen soldiers, including a female nurse.

An Italian woman came running out to us to show us a picture of herself as a five year old child with American soldiers who landed at Salerno. Priceless.

Pompeii is awesome, other than the incredible crowds (which Camille prepared us for).

11-day Italian Campaign review

Yes, I think it would be good to know exactly what we are going to see on each tour with the guide. It always seems it is given to us that day and we never know what is coming at us. It would also be nice to have this in some kind of handout so that we can refer back to it later on in the trip or after the trip.

No hot water at Paestum. Not used to that!

Farm meals were the absolute best. The meals in downtown Rome, we less so.

They were the best !!!

Could of been much more detail. I liked the guide but this could be done much better

Could of spent the whole day there. I thought that place was so awesome.

Wish we had more time

Could of done with2 hours of Benito and more of the Roman history. Missing the mark here.

Loved the sights. will have to go back and hire Max as my tour on my next trip to Rome

I thought Marlene was awful. I spoke with a number of others and they felt the same way. Max should of been doing it

The information in this museum is slanted. You would come out of that meusem thinking the Polish troops won the war and in th emean time we have over 7,000 dead and 3000 missing in the cemetery to their 1000. It's not right or accurate

The cemetary tours are always the best. Our people do a greta job here and it is always a highlite for me. It makes me think heavily on the sacrifices that were made. In fact ProCom could put a whole tour around various American Cemeteries.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

In person or online, the support was available and thorough.

I can't imagine a more thorough regimen of preparation information.

All hotels had a local feel and personality that I enjoyed. The accommodations were good and the trip documentation said to bring a washcloth, which I did. I got a little tired of only watching CNN International as the only English-speaking channel in the evening, but it was a good reason to read more.

I have already recommended this tour to several other people since my return. It was everything it was advertised to be and much more. You can't advertise the personal experiences that everyone takes away from the tour...the experience of the bonding that occurs with the others in the group, having a WWII veteran who was in Patton's 3rd Army, what you learn from the tour guides and the visual memories that I will retain for the remainder of my life.

I told Robert on our second day in Bastogne that I had a strong craving for a hamburger, after several days of the local fare in France and Belgium. He told me that often happened and that was why he had scheduled hamburgers and fries for dinner that evening. What a good read on his part!

I always felt safe and at ease on the bus. There were no close calls except when another bus hit ours while we were parked at the airport in Paris.

As you can see, I liked every aspect of this tour. I wanted to learn more history regarding the locations, the battles, the people, and the many monuments. The local tour guides had excellent backgrounds in all of these aspects and all provided their own views on those histories. They were enthusiastic even though they had each led similar tours a hundred times.

I could not have been happier. Robert was attentive to everyone and managed the details like the professional that he is. He circulated at dinner time to inquire about whether everyone was happy with their meals and asked whether he could get anything for anyone. He asked for feedback every day and was a gracious host. He is a good leader with a focused attention on every detail.

You ladies were great!

I felt that I was fully informed

Mercure was very nice and the food was varied and plentiful

Absolutely flawless. I have recommended your tours to several of my friends.

You offer a fantastic package - exceptional lodging and meals, a widely-inclusive and superbly managed itinerary, superb guides and exceptionally detailed historical information. This trip was an unforgettable experience.

No complaints at all about the food. Seafood meals were the best of the lunches/dinners. Omaha Beach lunch cheese sandwich was OK. Other meals were better.

Bus was a "second home" and Peter, our driver, was amazingly skillful. Several times the entire bus applauded after he navigated through a tight turn or maneuver with flawless dexterity

you should have 6 stars for Rudy!!!

Your French guide, Rudy, was an encyclopedia of factual knowledge. Supewr personality and a superb guide.

French lady guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant.

Give Robert 6 stars as well!! He absolutely 150% perofeeional and is also a very personable gent!

Only suggestion I would make is to shorten the cemetery visit time. I mentioned this to Robert, our tour manager. We had well over an hour and a half including the flag lowering and most of the older guys in the tour found a place to sit for a long time.

Great restaurant for lunch! nice little walk-around town too.

Canadian tour guide was also superb.

Amazing service start to finish

Very satisfied

Hotel service representatives were extremely friendly and ready to assist in anyway. The only thing missing was an ATM machine.

Extremely satisfied with all aspects of the tour!

We were given way more information than I could have expected. Tour managers, driver, and local tour guides blew me away. I cant wait to book another tour!

I never had a bad or "subpar" meal the entire length of the tour.

I cant believe how well our tour driver was able to navigate that large bus through all of the roadways. Great driver!

Rudy was amazing and EXTREMELY knowledgeable

Again extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. It wasn't wrangling up all of our tribe but he did it time and again.

I wish we would have spent a little more time here.

The tour exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot we didn't know about WWII and D-Day and experienced so much of the local customs, culture, foods. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in following in the 101st Airborne footsteps or interested in seeing WWII sites.

Meals were really good! Nice to have a drink included. Meals at the rest stop cafeterias were a bit tricky to navigate but part of the adventure!

The coach was very comfortable. Peter was an excellent driver. We were amazed he could navigate on such narrow country lanes.

Awesome! Really educated us on Dauchau and on the rise of Hitler in Munich.

Very knowledgeable!

Wonderful! He brought a first hand account to events!

Glad we stopped here!

Robert was amazing, on top of every detail and very attentive to individual needs.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

We felt that more info before we left home would have been helpful.

Just a reminder that the trip was coming up and to refresh our memory about the itinerary

Food was not that great at the Hilton Garden Inn. Exiting the Hyatt was dangerous because of the incoming traffic!

Enjoyed it generally speaking. Needs a little tweaking. If you want to tour all these places, it is nice to have it planned out in advance by someone else! Covers a lot of ground in the time allotted

Pockets where you can stick things in the back of the seats would be helpful

Great up until the Appomattox day. Needed to give an exact time to be back on the bus at the special stop. Too little time to eat lunch on the last day. Felt too rushed between Ford's Theater and Arlington. Maybe leave out the Civil War walk in DC.

While this was interesting, the whole DC agenda for the first day was too much . Starting the tour with a 2-mile walk in the heat (we know you couldn't control the weather) was a bit much. How about starting the tour with an evening dinner and introduction to the tour & then doing the mall walk and attractions the next day?

See above comments

Would like to have had more time here.

Could have done this on our own if we wished. would have allowed more time to do other options if this were not a prescribed activity

Local guide was excellent

This was most interesting, but we feel we were penalized on this phase of the tour. Having never been here before, we were especially looking forward to this stop. The special guests, while very nice folks, were granted a special stop and then took longer than the allotted time, thus reducing our time at Appomattox. Also, we spent way too much time at the restaurant & could have used that time at Appomattox as well.

practically non existent!

Very knowledgeable but also very self-important!

5-day Normandy Invasion review

I would rate the hotel as overall very good. The room was very good as was the food. My main concern was the lack of English speaking front desk staff. On three separate occasions I went the front deak for assistance and no one spoke enough English to understand my questions. One would think that with the number of English speaking tour groups - Procom - and others - having competent English speaking staff people would be a given.

I rate the overall experience with Procom excellent. I was very pleased by the help that Debra Watkins and Cassie Scales provided to me as I planned my trip. Thanks also to Sandy at avantravel.net for airline reservations.

My general impression of the tour was very positive. The tour enabled me to complete along held desire to visit the invasion beaches and the surrounding countryside.

The meals were outstanding at all of the restaurants we went to - food was great, service was excellent and all of this was done efficiently considering the size of our group.

The motor coach was comfortable and provided a very smooth ride. The driver did a great job manoeuevring the coach on narrow roads and on high speed highways.I felt safe in the motor coach and the the driver's expertise.

Rudy Passera was excellent for his commentary for the tour. His knowledge of the invasion beaches was incredible and he p0assed this on to the tour group in an easy to listen to manner was appreciated by everyone.

The view of the beach gave me a far better understanding what the waves of troops faced coming out of the landing barges.

The memorial is very effective in providing the information on how hard the British glider troops had to fight to hold on to the bridge to keep it waiting for the ground force to get to them.

Robert did an excellent job in managing and directing us consdering the size of our group. He was always friendly and polite I would like to do another with him as the tour director.

The cemetery was a real " knee - buckler " and brought back the number of dead that was such a sacrifice for us all. Omaha Beach sites werevery much like those at Utah. The Ranger memorial at Point du Hoc was especially moving considering the fierce battle the top to find the coastal guns had been moved further inland.

one could only imagine what the Mulberrys looked like during the invasion. Time and tide have made their claim on the Mulberrys.

I was good to learn more about the courage of the Canadian troops in taking on the Germans at this part of the coast.

9-day American Civil War Tour - A Nation Tested review

Breakfast arrangements at Richmond were confusing for both tour members and restaurant staff.

I had a great time and look forward to doing more tours with BBOB. I would recommend this tour to others with similar interests.

Dinners generally very good. Lunch typically good as well. Breakfast was pretty basic.

James and the motor coach were great.

Debra did a great job leading the tour.

Seeing the Mall and Memorial was great but could have been sacrificed in favor of more time at battlefields.

More time should have been allotted for this tour and the tour guide should have allowed for more "off the bus" time. To not have an opportunity to explore key areas like the Peach Orchard and The Angle is a travesty.

More time allotted to this stop would have been preferable as well.

The best tour guide of the entire tour was the ranger at Petersburg.

Needed more time.

I felt that this was really just the same as the first DC walking tour. Not much info was given on DC during the War. The tour-guide was very knowledgeable but tended to talk about himself too much.

Insisted on staying on the bus too much.

Best guide of the tour.

12-day London to Normandy review

She was able to answer all my questions on the spot during my first call, and everything that I thought of afterwards too.

Very complete. I especially appreciated the suggested reading and viewing list.

NLW: very nice room and great location for where we went. Occasionally, dining room service a bit slow. HNB: excellent location, combo tub/shower would be awkward for many to climb in and out of.

Truly, absolutely no complaints or unmet expectations.

I was delighted with the overall value of the tour experience and look forward to continuing the trail of the Band of Brothers in the future. You can be sure BBoB has my highest recommendation to anyone who asks.

The Dover restaurant seemed utterly unprepared for us, notwithstanding they had virtually no other diners when we arrived. The lunch stop in Portsmouth was a stand-out, as was the lunch stop on Utah Beach day. Except for Dover lunch, all our meals were tasty and inviting.

As I'm sure you'll hear from the other participants, both Zoltan and Peter were solid professionals that provided worry free transportation with quiet excellence.

His French viewpoint added great value, and he was everything one could want a local guide to bring.

As with the Juno sights, it added valuable insight to the totality of Overlord.

I'll include the BoB memorial at Capel-le-Fern when I consider this one of the highlights of the tour.

Another great balance of time available to things to see. Really added to my understanding of the BoB.

Simply because I'm only tangentally interested in the code breaking aspects of the way, this site didn't hold as much interest for me. The site itself gets high marks for interpretative material in the exhibits.

Absolutely not to be missed for understanding the BoB as well as the air war over Europe. Great Cold Way exhibits too.

Very moving. Highest marks to the Assistant Superintendent (I think) who gave the tour.

Another great selection for a site to put the BoB in perspective. Once more, very good choice of how much time we had there.

One of those things you'd likely never see unless you were with some like BBoB. The curator's talk was outstanding.

As noted earlier for his tour-guiding, Robert was exceptionally well organized and always ready to answer any question. He's very personable and represents BBoB well.

Appropriate time allowed for the self-guided tour. While not at all related to the BoB, it was a great way to expand on our visit to Portsmouth.

Not as expansive as I would have guessed. I had ample (but not too much) time to see and read about the exhibits.

I would have missed so much if I had not added this to my BoB tour. So memorable! I have to put at the top of this section the time we spent at Brecourt Manor. One more example of value BBoB brings that others can't match. The selection of the many available museums available suited the three days we had perfectly. Another key experience was standing on the beach at about the tide line faced by our troops on that day, seeing the bluffs over the beach, then walking up them to the memorial at the top. Absolutely not an experience to miss for anything.

Not everything can get 5 full stars. This would have added little value without the 360 degree video experience included in the tour.

Short visit but to the point. Even though we were a US tour group, adding the British and Canadian beaches truly rounded out my understanding of Overlord.

It added a excellent value to my understanding of how London is laid out. I also appreciated the flexibility we had to do our own touring afterward.

Not only did she do an outstanding job in bringing context and understanding to the BoB memorial and Dover castle, but the way she engaged with us on the bus trip out and back to Wembly was equally valuable. A real keeper!

Very knowledgeable, and also very open to letting tour members add what they knew about the sites we saw.

5-day Normandy Invasion review

They were always very helpful when I spoke to them on chat

Finding the bus from the maze of an airport was a bit of a challenge. The instructions vary depending on which terminal you are in. We got kind of frustrated trying to find the bus.

Better directions to the bus. I think it would have also been nice for some of our fellow tour goers to have some guidelines on how to conduct themselves and at least try to adapt tot he culture we are visiting

It was clean and simple and the food was pretty good; which is all that is needed when you are spending time out and about all day.

Everything was great! We have plans to go again, likely to the British tour.

I was really impressed and happy with the entire experience. I was moved, humbled and fell in love with Normandie. I'd move there tomorrow if I could. I heard from others on the tour that have taken tours from other companies and was told this far surpassed those, so I was glad I made the right decision in choosing Procom and have recommended it to others and we are planning another in the future.

I really loved eating at the local establishments around the places we visited. I enjoyed where we had the Croque Monsieur sandwich. I can't stop thinking about the cheese sauce. Beef Stew was delish. Enjoyed visiting the Farm restaurant.

Rudy was fantastic!!! I could have spent the entire time listening and learning from his expertise, I was truly impressed with his knowledge, patience and graciousness.

Absolutely beautiful! Our expert guide was so gracious and kind in answering my "2 questions". He truly is an expert!!!

Very cool! Love the museum and seeing the gliders and imagining them crash landing

He was very gracious, helpful and approachable.

So incredibly humbling and moving

So very cool! You can actually visualize how it was for those landing and bring in supplies

I think it is important for Americans to remember it was a world war and other nations including England and Canada were a very integral part in the success of these missions.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Everything was perfect....the information provided on line was absolutely EVERYTHING we need to know before the trip. Good job Procom.

Everything was perfect....some other guests on the tour didn't realize there saw so much walking! One thing about all that information was you do have to read it. It mentioned we might want to take a pair of comfortable boots....so glad I did....actually wore them every single day....we were always in some sort of grass or on the beach.

So glad we stayed in Bayeux and not Caen. Beautiful small town. Same with Bastogne....great location. Hotel Melba had a very personal touch being family owned. Great amenities at all 3 locations.

Perhaps how the hotels are a bit different then the USA. Showers were difficult and didn't know about the lighting/ electric in room where you have to lave the entry card in a a wall slot for the lights to work.

I haven't done any tours like this in the past so I don't have much of a reference - wouldn't change a thing!

Excellent! knows his stuff, very passionate and a great humor when appropriate.

Excellent as well. Great stories, etc. from someone who was there as a kid.

Our special tour guides in Normandy was fantastic - very knowledgeable, passionate and good sense of humor at the right times.

special tour guide Henri was great. He was with us during the Bastogne touring.

Nice touch playing taps and the national anthem for our group.

The special British tour guide was very good and passionate.

The special guide was very nice.

Beautiful

Robert was fantastic. I can't say enough good things. He had control of the group, sense of humor when appropriate.

She was personable and very good. Open to any questions, etc...

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Felt like we were rushed. Not from a walking perspective but I like to stop and read information and had no time to do that. How many memorials and historical plaques can you look at in one afternoon.

In general food was very good. Got tired of buffet at night in Munich. Buffet in Munich was marginal.

Coach was clean. No restroom in the coach except for dire emergency. How can this be? Our bladders had to be on the bus driver's schedule! Bus driver was great in tight areas..A+ for that. But somewhat concerned about his attentiveness when driving. Seemed to have a hard time keeping it in his lane. Came extremely close to cars/trucks when passing! Very concerning.....

A little hard to understand...may have talked to fast.

Too many stops as too many memorials.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Debbie was very helpful with all of our questions and kept us up to date on any changes in the itinerary.

Not knowing what to expect and looking back at the information we received I would say the information was very good.

Again, not knowing what to expect, I would say the information received was very good

All of the hotels were very nice and very clean. Employees were friendly and efficient. Meals were very good.

This was our first tour overseas and I think Procom has got it down pat. Everything was well taken care of from the minute we made our reservations until we got off the bus at the end.

We had an excellent time on our tour. The sights, the guides, Robert and Peter along with the rest of our fellow travelers made the tour a special time for us. If you are unsure about taking a tour like this, look no further. The people at Procom have thought of it all. Would and may do another some day.

Well, I gained 5lbs if that says anything. The meals were excellent every where we went. A lot of foods I haven't had since my long ago tour of duty in Germany.

Peter can sure drive a bus! I never knew a bus could fit through some of those roads but he got us there. The bus was comfortable to ride in and had no problems.

Along with Steve's tour of Dachau the "Third Reich" tour in Munich was very good also. He has spent a lot of time researching those events and shared a lot of information about how the Reich really started. A good informative guide.

Rudy is very knowledgeable and informative about the Normandy region. He was also fun to listen to while he spoke and gave insights to some of the important happenings at Normandy. Enjoyed him very much. A very good tour guide.

How can you rate someone who lived it. The personal touch Henri gave us was immeasurable. Very interesting and a pleasure to listen to.

Being a veteran and standing on Utah beach was a very humbling experience. It helped me understand the effort made by those young men on June 6, 1944

Seeing that small bridge and the gliders that landed practically on top of it, I have to applaud the determination of those brave Brits who "Took" the bridge.

Having spent time in the field during a German winter only expands my reverence for those hero's of Bastogne. Living in a whole in the ground with little food, low on ammunition and no winter clothing shows what the spirit of an American soldier can accomplish.

I've seen a lot of military equipment but, the artifacts at the museum gave us a personal look into to the soldiers who spent time in the town of Bastogne and the foxholes of the Ardennes. They show us some of the real horrors of war.

Being one of the veterans who had the honor of laying a wreath at the grave of Gen. Patton was a very emotional moment for me. Those men are true hero's of Bastogne and I salute them.

Standing there in a room of the crematorium; my heart cried out to the souls of those taken by the evil's of war. It was an emotional moment that I will hold onto for the rest of my life.

What can you say about Oktoberfest! Good beer! Good food! Good Reich tour!

Although the building it self is not that impressive, just the fact of where, how, and why it was built was very interesting to see and hear about.

Robert was excellent! He made sure everyone was comfortable with everything we did. He was attentive and fun to be with. He did a great job getting us everywhere we were supposed to be and we were lucky to have him with us. Good job Robert!

It was very interesting and showed the determination that it took to halt the axis army.

Visiting the cemetery was very emotional for me. Knowing that those American heroes gave their all on Omaha Beach and all the beaches of Normandy that day in June.

I had no concept of the vastness of that project. It is an engineering marvel to see.

Even though it is a lesser talked about beach; it was an important part of the success at Normandy. We should honor all those men who sacrificed their lives at Juno Beach.

Besides being an Olympic skier; which was impressive, Marianne was a very informative and interesting guide.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I would recommend any one interested in WWII to take this trip. It was over the top of my expectations.

Did not expect such awesome meals. Great examples of local cuisine.

Peter was our driver. He was outstanding. I could not believe he could maneuver the large bus on those small roads.

Every guide we had was excellent. Could not have asked for any one better.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he says.

Unbelievably knowledgeable, what a treat to listen to him.

The tour would not have been as great without, Robert. Friendly, knowledgeable, funny, helped with anything.

Very good

18-day London to Berchtesgaden review

The French just aren't too friendly

The tour was extremely satisfying. My husband and I study history and we learned a lot on this trip. Yes, I'd recommend this trip highly. My only complaint would be some of the fellow travelers who, either didn't read the physical requirements of the tour or greatly over estimated their physical abilities. I don't know what you can do about that. I know there were nights Robert wanted to take us to different resturants but one in the group was so obese she could barely walk.

The tour guide for Berstgarden wasn't quite the standard as our other guides

Robert is outstanding

Disorganized; wasn't as passionate as our other guides; no real interesting information presented

11-day War in Poland review

You guys and girls are the top of the line with tour groups.

I kept a folder of all the important paperwork and I was well prepared for the trip ahead of time.

how much things cost in the currency of the country. I had a thousand euros for Germany and came home with some money. I had a Thousand Zloty in Poland and ran out after 7 days. yikes.

couldn't ask for better accommodations!!

perfect!!

I just wish that we stayed in Warsaw longer and maybe go to Gdansk first then finished with Krakow. But other than those thoughts, I have no complaints.!!

A little too much pork but that's an important staple in poland so I enjoyed eating what that country eats.

John is an excellent driver.

Like I said this is the top of all the tours. No one can touch you for group tours!!

Warsaw was beautiful and I was very surprised to see all the buildings and the Vistula.

beautiful city!! I enjoyed walking the streets at night.

very moving and historical

cried for 5 days couldn't compose myself at times. ps. I wasn't alone. Several of my travelers did the same thing.

learned a lot. Wouldn't want to miss it!!

I was affected the most by this place. Cried like a baby.

most fascinating of all the sites. A must see.

So far I've had her and Chuba. They are both great and your company is the best. Eva really painted a great picture of a country who has only been free from communist rule for 28 years. It was very insightful and she was very professional.

My favorite place to visit. I only completed 1/3 of the exhibits. We needed more that 2 hours there.

my favorite place to walk at night and see music, boats, outdoor cafe, etc..

Great place to visit. A must see

very moving. Didn't know that the Pope played a very pivital role in this. You appreciate freedom after leaving there.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I thought all were great, staff friendly and clean

It was, I thought, a first class tour. I would recommend it to anyone that wanted an INTENSE military tour. Since my traveling partner, Joe Less, does not have a computer I know you can use this same information for him. He thoroughly enjoyed this and also thought everything was done very well. We also had a great group of traveling companions.

First class

Our first driver was more helpful and did an amazing job of getting the bus in and out of some really tight places.

They all did a great job, very knowledgeable. Rudy in Normandy sometimes talked way too fast to catch all. Also my red device gave me a lot of trouble.

Your employee, Debra, was also very helpful

The cemetery was beautiful

Very impressed with this cemetery

Excellent guide but would have liked more personal time to look.

Sorry that the one time we had a little free time nothing was open (Sun)

Absolutely breathtaking

Really enjoyed him and he did a good job watching out for all of us.

11-day War in Poland review

Always had prompt replies either by email or phone.

Posted detailed itinerary was very informative.

Qubus & Novotel had very tall bathtubs to navigate over, which can potentially be dangerous for some.

Excellent tour! I look forward to scheduling another and I will most definitely recommend this tour to others.

Only complaint would be that the portion sizes are too HUGE!

Motor coach was spacious and clean. Our driver was very nice and courteous. Only suggestion would be if there was a way to link our red boxes to the coaches' audio system when watching movies.

The guide at the Wolf's Lair isn't listed above, but she was amazing and so funny!

Old town was wonderful.

Loved Krakow! Was my favorite city of the three.

Was a little disappointed in Schindler's factory - I wish they had reconstructed part of it to resemble how the factory used to look.

Breathtaking.

Local guide was outstanding and had a great sense of humor!

Breathtaking.

Amazing sculptures and unique gift shops.

I wish there were more than 5 stars on this question because Eva was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I appreciated how she emailed us prior to the tour to introduce herself. During the tour everything seemed to run smoothly and seamlessly. She was always open to our input/feedback and if she didn't know the answer to something, she would find out for us. She always made everyone feel welcomed. I felt she added so much to the tour with her discussions on past history, as well as, current events. I especially liked hearing her stories of what it was like growing up during communism. During the tour I accidentally left my wedding ring at one of the hotels and Eva was instrumental in getting the ring located. I was so impressed with Eva as our tour manager, that I'd schedule my next tour solely based on which one she was managing!

Probably my favorite of the museums.

Beautiful city with lots of amber shops.

Very informative.

Informative.
