11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Maybe more info on the places we visited

It was very good from a historians view as a tourist I got a little board . My husband loves this stuff I would have enjoyed a little more fun time. Like Berchstegaden would have been great to walk around and shop and take pics. But we had no time there.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Francois Gauthron was a great guide showing us the area.

I would have liked just a little more time here.

I would have enjoyed more time with being show around by Stephen Whitehorn. Great guide of the local area.

All of the local guides were excellent. They were able to provide you with insight that you cannot get without the knowledge they have. The witness account from Henri was great to hear and learn from. Francois did a great job showing us and pointing things out to us as we were going around the area. Steve was excellent. I wish we would of had another day with Steve. Great person to have showing you around town and pointing things out to you as you look around.

To have a lighter option would be nice for lunch or dinner. The food was good just about everywhere.

Mary is excellent. She did a great job managing a lot of different personalities, and made sure we all got to where we needed to be.

Charlie is a great driver, and does amazing things with the motor coach.

The entire staff with Procom were all very nice to work with.

The tour was great. It got you to a lot of places to see things. I would of enjoyed a little more time at some of the stops we were at, bu on an anniversary tour, time can be very limited due to the amount of traffic in the area. I would recommend Procom for anyone looking to visit these places, but unsure how to get to all of them. Procom really makes it easy to enjoy being on a guided tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

We were told Christophe was not one of the regular guides that you use and it was the first time he was on one of your tours. He was excellent and should be in the guide rotation for your company! One of the best guided tour I've ever been on. Henri was also excellent and the first hand accounts of his experiences during the war were great. Jean-Luc had a lot of great information. Steve was great and showed us a lot of out of the way sights during the Munich walk.

The food was plentiful and very good during the whole tour. The only change I would like to see is there were some times when we only had one option for a meal. I think there should be at least two options on those nights.

Camille had a great personality and did a great job as our tour manager. She was always friendly and the communication with our group was excellent. We were always on schedule and we had a fantastic time!

Would have liked to have some kind of usb charging capability on the van for our phones and ipads during the long rides on the travel days.

I was very impressed by the tour. The guides, tour sights and information given was excellent. The hotels and restaurants were also very good. For all the comments I stated I would not hesitate to recommend your tours to anyone!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Christof (our tour guide) was FANTASTIC!

Very nice. Glad we had time to visit the Nazi Command Post!!!!!!

Henry (our tour guide) was FANTASTIC! It was really good to hear a first hand accounting of what happened there and in the surrounding areas. The following day we had a different tour guide. He was very informative as well but not as engaging.

Needed more time at this museum. It was amazing!

Our tour guide was very nice and informative.

Our tour guide gave an EXCELLENT accounting of what happened.

Wish we could have spent 1 hour of free time exploring the town of Berchtesgaden even if it meant starting the tour an hour earlier.

The bunkers were amazing. Camille did a wonderful job explaining the background of the hotel/bunker and Hitler's home that was destroyed.

The food itself was wonderful however it would be nice to have a choice between two options for lunches and especially, dinners.

Camille and the tour guides truly made this trip one to remember. Camille was warm, friendly, professional, accommodating and efficient! She kept us on schedule so that we wouldn't miss out on anything. We simply loved her!

We can't stop talking to friends and family about how amazing this trip was from start to finish. We were very impressed with everything your company and staff provided. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Would have liked a portfolio of pictures that the tour guide had - they each had a book with paraphernalia of almost each area visited and guided by them, but the book they held for people to see was to small to see, and therefore did not get the full appreciation of the sites visited.

Would have liked to be able to pick my own meal, and to have more than one drink - really for the price of this tour there could have been an extra drink. What is it about drinks that hold them at such a premium - Offer 2 drinks please!

Would have liked to have access to an electric outlet and a USB outlet for all equipment. Also would have liked wider and much more comfortable seats. Also there should have been at least one more video monitor, this bus had only two - and there should have been 3. Sturdier trays, such as to write in journal or postcards, or to lean on. Bigger cup holders, and an ICE MACHINE!!!!

The novelty of the tour is a good impression to begin with. There should have been portfolios for each person for each area visited - this would have pictures, and information on the sites, and museums. The tour guides were terrific! I would recommend the tour because of the quality of the tour overall. But please offer 2 drinks!!! Warn the hotels that Americans LIKE ICE!!!! They should have a concession for these tours - they're mostly, if not all Americans, 99% of the time. If you can warn the hotels about how many people, rooms were needed, then you can alert them to the ice problem. Duly noted that they don't use much, if any ice, but we do!! Cut out the cheapness of the one drink, make it 2!!! There should be a special "gift" at each hotel for - doesn't matter what, but a small gift, like toy tanks (because of the theme of the tour) - gifts that pertain to the theme of the tours. Some thought should go into this aspect, it would really, really be a real winner!! Also would have like to buy t-shirts, pens, bags etc. with the tour logo. More could have been offered on the bus tours as far as snacks and drinks - again the cheapness of non-existent snacks and variety of drinks (this only had water, and did not know for a few days that there was something offered)

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Both of the consultants we spoke were very eager to assist us and answer questions. In particular, we had security concerns after the Paris attacks. Verbal information, followed up with an email containing a travel security report helped resolve concerns my wife had.

The detailed itinerary, along with our personal trip guide were very useful in preparing us for our trip.

The Hotel Mercure Omaha Beach was clean and quiet, with helpful staff. The grounds/golf course were very pleasant for relaxing. It was very isolated from any traffic and was amazingly free of any outside noise! We would have liked to spend a few days there just enjoying the facility and it's grounds! The Best Western Melba was also clean and quiet. The shower was troublesome in that it wasn't fully enclosed, the 3 glass sections weren't enough to close off the tub while showering. This allowed water to spray all over the floor, requiring a wipe up after the shower was completed. The Hotel Golden Tulip appeared newer, it was clean and well appointed. At risk of appearing fixated on the showers, it was very unusual for the shower stall to have a mostly clear, full length glass window facing the main room. I've never seen anything like that before, though it didn't bother me much, my wife wasn't very comfortable with it and showered in the dark!

Many things to see, and it was a priority stop for me.

Another priority stop for me.

I enjoyed the tour guide's information and delivery. Interesting things to see that I didn't expect.

Interesting guide, and having the original bridge on site, along with the museum grounds made for a very good experience.

By far the most compelling of all the battlefield sites in my mind. The remaining original foxholes and largely unchanged woods created an almost spiritual experience with those men who fought and field there. A sentiment I heard other guests describe.

A newer, more interactive facility. I would have liked some more time here!

Beautiful cemetery, the grounds are beautiful.

The time spent here was just right, and interesting points were made by the guide.

We got to see all the sights I wanted to see, the main points that gave rise to Nazism were explained wee

Very interesting place. Too bad the weather didn't cooperate!

Sometimes there was little or no choice for meals. A wider selection of items is on my short list of things that need improvement.

Rudy did a great job of organizing our group and keeping us on time. He has a good sense of humor and got along well with everyone. My sense was that he really cared about everyone's experience

A very nice coach, and Peter was an amazingly skillful driver handling that large bus in tight corners and heavy traffic,

Very good itinerary, with excellent local guides. All inclusive pricing, breakfast, lunch and dinner

For our tour probably should have suggested light gloves and heavier jacket. Walking was not moderate

No US TV channels

Great museum

Too much time spent at Dachau and surrounds

Much more knowledgeable than I expected. Showed immense local experience.

Too much food. I gained two pounds and still walked seven miles a day.

The bus is OK for the short trips but can be less than comfortable on the long rides

Way beyond my expectations. Wonderful experience!!!

Outstanding. I would and already have recommended the tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Both on the phone and via e-mail, the consultants responded quickly.

The "My Trip" provided just about everything I needed to plan my trip. It provided a great check list to keep me current on things I needed to do. (Passport, airline reservations, etc...)

All of the hotels were very suitable, clean, and well maintained, and good neighborhoods.

Omaha Beach was interesting. Just knowing what had happened 71 years earlier. The craters that were still there, the German bunkers that survive the war, the way the people in the area show their gratefulness to Americans. The Normandy American Cemetery, a few hundred meters from the beach was beyond words. Seeing the graves of so many Americans that lived their last day at that beach. As a veteran I had the honor of saluting a veteran of that war, near the beach where he entered France on 6 June 44.

Arromanches was a wonderful town. The free time provided for us wander around was nice. The museum was top notch like all the others we had seen or would see during the rest of the trip.

Seeing the Pegasus Bridge made history come alive. The museum had a lot of great exhibits. What a thrill to be able to walk across that piece of history

Cross roads is nothing but a simple monument but having a guide to point out exactly what happened and show us where those thing happened made it seem more like real, rather than something we had just seen in a movie.

The National Liberation Museum, Holland was not the best museum on the tour but the tour guides made up for the lack of displays. They pointed out so many thing that you would never know about without them. As we were near the end of the tour we heard from a witness of the war. She told about having a war in her own backyard. she told about loosing her home, living for a year with another family, eating in shifts because they didn't have enough dinnerware to all eat at one time. It's not the kind of stories you hear everyday.

The Bastogne Battlefield tour, like many places along the entire tour, was a place that came alive for me. By itself, it was a forest with fox holes. With the guide we had, it was so much more.

The Bastogne War Museum was one of the best museums along the tour. It had 4 theaters in it as you pass through it. At one point, you step outside for a view of the Mardasson Memorial

The Luxemburg American Cemetery is the burial sight of Gen. George Paton. This American Cemetery is inspiring, as are all American war cemeteries.

The tour of Dachau Concentration Camp was much more than I expected.

Munich sites were very informative. The guide pointed out so many things just while we were walking through town going from one place to another.

The Eagles Nest itself was OK but the history around it made it quite interesting. The Dokumentation Obersalzberg where our trip started was equally interesting. We also visited the site of Hitlers home at Salzberg.

The guides we had were wonderful. Without them we would have looked, maybe read a small description, and moved on. The guides told us so much that we would never have known otherwise. It was pretty hard to stump them if you had a question.

The meals were all American style. They were good and the servings were good sized. I still would have liked free refills on drinks but I wasn't in America.

Andrea, our tour manager was great. Very knowledgeable, polite, and organized. She had her hands full with out group but she managed. If any of us had a problem, she managed it and got it resolved.

If I had to complain about the motor coach it would be the lack of Wifi. Not a big deal. I typed stuff on a laptop and if I needed to upload them or send some pictures, I sent them when we returned to the hotel. Not a big deal. No one else really complained about it. The bus was clean and comfortable.

The entire process of booking the tour, to the arrival back at home, was great. You ask why I would recommend the tour. You should ask why I have recommended the tour. I tell people it wasn't what it was advertised, IT WAS MORE. The museums, historic sites, guides and witnesses, food, hotels, transportation, and all the other people on the tour. It was all great. The time spent touring sites made for a full day. Very little wasted time during the day.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

Too much time is spent dealing with food. Why can't lunch be sack lunches, eaten on the bus, while traveling between point A and B?

Too much "butt" time! Too much time, ordering your meal and consuming your meal. That time could & should be cut in half - leaving more time for touring. Why is the evening meal at 7:30/8:00pm.? Then it's 45 minutes or so before any food is actually in front of you. I ended up climbing into bed on a full stomach, trying to fall asleep.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

This was a fantastic museum!

I enjoyed reading the pictures on the walls.

It was an honor to place the wreath on General Patton's grave.

It's unbelievable the foxholes are still there after 71 years.

Enjoyed the guided tour throughout Luxembourg and loved the Christmas market!

Malmedy was a sad place to visit, but this is history. I loved the drive to Stavelot.

Interesting, but not top priority on my list.

My husband and I appreciated the individual concern and help we received from Mary and Robert. They are great guides.

Henri and Scott, especially, were well-versed in their historical knowledge. They were very interesting to listen to.

Meals were very good, but a little too much for me to eat. I would suggest having a lighter meal at lunchtime.

Jonas is an excellent bus driver. I felt very safe when we travelled throughout Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany. The coach was very comfortable.

The tour was well-organized. I would recommend the tour due to the wealth of knowledge the tour guides exhibit.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

Very easy process throughout.

Medals Meal format changed from last year. I could not get into My Trip, so I do not know if it contained anything about it.

Bastogne Hotel was very nice. People were very friendly and helpful. The Frankfurt Hotel was nice but I did not have the same interaction with staff.

Reenactment was okay, but no tanks, half tracks etc. I have been to many and it makes it a great experience.

It was Okay, but a long ways to drive to it and back after. The tour guide was very nice and knowledgable.

Both were very good and I enjoyed them. Mary has aligned more knowledge and experience than Robert. This was his first time in the field. He will only get better with more under his belt.

All very good and knowing of what they spoke. Scott at the cemetary was by far the best I have ever experienced.

As stated before the format for meals changed since last year. Most meals had cheese in them which I do not eat. After the first few days I was able to get something minus the cheese.

He was very good and personable. He did an excellent job getting us to our locations.

This is not my first Procom tour. Both have been very informative and met my expectations. I will do another in the next year or two.

It was very good. There were several things not on the itinerary that some of us wanted to see and the staff allowed us to see them. The two guides have a passion for what they do. Robert will do very well in the near future.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

Love the location and the staff at the Melba Hotel in Bastogne

Scott Desjardins, the Superintendent makes this tour the high light of the trip.

The local guide was very good. I think for some in our group they would have liked to know the difficulties that the walk around had (stairs & hills).

I think the view would have been better if we were located along the road rather than at the school.

The brewery guide was very good. Tour was late in the day and I was ready for a meal rather than a beer

Mary is very skilled, knowledgeable and experienced at her job. Great personality and attitude. Always ready to help in every way. Please post a new photo of her as she is much prettier than the one the company uses. Robert did a good job. Understanding that the is new to the tour company showed but he has the personality and can do attitude to make a very capable tour leader. Enjoyed his company.

I just can't say enough good things about Henri & Scott. If Scott ever retires you need to hire him! On this tour & the BoB tour I took last year these 2 gentlemen were the high light of the tour and the ones I will always remember. I could give the others 5 stars but I did not as comparing them to Henri & Scott was just not fair but they were also very good.

I realize that it is difficult to find a place that can seat groups of 20, and the places we ate were very good. I would rather have some "free meal time" so we could go on our own to experience some of the smaller local eateries. I realize that presents a problem on keeping everyone on a time schedule but it seems this could be done at night.

Bus driver was excellent and very accommodating. The only issue with the motor coach was the internet was not always working.

It was a good mix of WWII history (museums, field sites), local history and sites. Being confined to the general area around Bastogne kept the amount of travel time down. The one thing I would change is to start or end the tour in Brussels. That would provide an excellent opportunity for anyone who wanted to see that beautiful city by arriving early or staying late. We had looked into starting there but without train service to Bastogne, the transportation was a problem. Yes I would recommend this tour and it should be held only at the anniversary for the battle.

Everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful with our questions

I would have like to have had a copy of some of the pictures that were shown to us during the tour by the tour guides and Marietta. "Hitler's House, destruction photos Caen, Bastogne, etc.

Hotels were as good as any we have stayed in in Europe, small but clean.

Rudy was excellent and a great bonus to Marietta.

This day was packed full and the added bonus of Rudy having the owner of Brecourt Manor meet us and take us the to trenches was a special treat. We would have liked to have had another hour at Dead Man's Corner Museum.

These sights and museums were very informative, although we were not as interested in these 3 beaches as they where not American troops battle fields

Needed a little more time here

We were glad to have the HBO Series on the bus and had a chance to preview this battle before arriving to refresh our memory about this battle field.

This Museum was done really well, our host was very informative with her life stories, but tended to expand her stories a little to much in depth, she tended to loose our interest as some of the stories dragged on. The Memorial and the tour end was one of the best we saw.

This was one of the highlites of the tour we where looking forward to. We where not disappointed in the Battlefield Tour. The Barricks were very well done we enjoyed them.

We felt a little rushed in getting through this museum in the time allowed.

Our guide was very good and informative

This tour was very Eye opening for a first time visitor to a concentration camp. We would have liked to have spent more time here and less time allowed for Oktoberfest as most of us made our way back to the hotel on our own.

This was a great tour and Steve was an great bonus guide. he took us off the beaten path and gave us extra info and sights that we would have not seen on our own.

Rudy and Steve were great with lots of added info and knowledge. Butch has been emailing Rudy since our return and he has answered all of his questions, we look forward to seeing him when he visits the US next spring. Jeanne, was very passionate about the museum and we enjoyed her stories, but they did drag on and it was easy to loose interest in some of them. But you could tell her love for the US and what they did in the liberation. Henri was very informative, but hard to hear at times. Steve was great and was good at letting us know where we should concentrate our time at the different sights as to not miss the most interesting offerings of the sights. It's easy to see that Rudy and Steve are very knowledgeable in their chosen areas of WWII history. I hope there are others just as knowledgeable to replace Jeanne and Henri as they are close to retirement.

All of the food we had was very good, but we would have like to have had a choice of 2 different items for the meals. For example, Diane does not eat Salmon, and we had lots of Salmon appetizers. We know when dinning as a large group meals have to be kept simple to meet time restraints, but a choice of 2 different appetizers and main course would not be hard to do as we had at lunch in Utah Beach.

Marietta was very good as our host and informative as a historian. We would welcome her as our tour guide on another adventure.

Having a large bus and a small group was great. We all had room to spread out and relax between stops. Having the Movies available on our long drives was an added bonus as we could refresh our memories on what we where about to see.

Everyone we came in contact with was very professional and helpfull

WE had a great experience on our tour and have recommended this tour to many of our friends since returning home.

11-day Italian Campaign review

very satisfied

sufficient

More overview on the Italian campaign which could have been provided during the long bus trips. A lot of people don't do the reading suggested and therefore are uninformed. Consequently they miss a lot.

Rooms are small which I know can't be helped. Ergife hotel had very thin walls, the wall paper in the rooms and hallways was peeling. This was definitely NOT a first class hotel. The other hotels were as advertised and satisfactory. Plaza Hotel lacked sufficient room lighting.

Glad no pasta was served. The food was good in preperetion, presentation and taste. The food had good variety and tasted good.

guides had good knowledge and were articulate

Best part was seeing things other tours don't show.

experienced drivers remove anxiety of accidents

first class tour manager. kept his calm in crisis and was able to handle difficult situations with a calm demeanor, a sign of a true professional

good tour. delivered what promised. would recommend.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Avoid the Ergife Palace on future tours (I think most tour members have stated that!). They had subpar food, turned the AC off for the season, had long waits on the elevators due to legions of other tour groups, and were a long drive from central Rome. I really enjoyed the Edra Palace Hotel, the other two were smaller and likely the best in their geographic regions.

The lunches out were excellent, breakfast buffets usually good, the dinners at the hotels were usually good (except for mass produced food for tour groups at Ergife Palace) - but then I'm being picky after starting out with a week in Florence!

I was overall pleased with the guides, plus Charlie provided extra input.

Catania was the only dud, but it was raining and flooding the streets, so I didn't see the city at its best. I would have enjoyed more time at Piane delle Orme Museum. One option to save time might be to skip the ruins at Agrigento (a long drive there and back) and instead see the ones that we just drove past at Paestum. This would give more time in the Gela/Licata landing areas.

A very comfortable coach, outstanding drivers in a country with reckless drivers, plus the wi-fi made it easy to stay in touch with family & friends back home.

Charlie did a wonderful job, provided extra insights over meals, kept us on time, and was fun to be around. I hope to see him again on other tours!

I enjoyed the Italy tour and would recommend it to others. I learned a lot about a part of WWII that I knew little about, a thought shared by many on the tour. I think it was particularly exciting for those who had not visited Italy before, as there were more non-military tourist sights than the France/Germany tour, although I enjoyed seeing Rome and Pompeii again! I particularly enjoyed the central Italy portion (Cassino to Anzio) and could have spent a day in the private museum.

Desk personnel at Hotel Mercure not very helpful when I tried to use my phone. Seemed bothered by my asking. In Munich, I was surprised by infrequent w-fi service even in lobby where it was supposed to have the best reception.

Excellent local guide, Francois

Great to hear our local guide tell of his hands on experiences with Wermacht soldiers in his house

Excellent local guide

Gained too much weight. Probably would have gone for a sandwich and soup for lunch instead of full meal, which I might eat only once a day. Of course, no one forced me to eat all that was served.

Covered just about everything I could have wished to see. Genial group with just a few exceptions but that's standard for touring.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

My only comments refer specifically to the shower in each of the hotels. The shower stalls were all very attractive to the eye. However, they all allowed shower spray to escape onto the bathroom floor. As all of the hotels showers shared this characteristic, this is most likely a facet of European bathroom shower design. Please note that is only an observation on my part. This is not a complaint.

Outstanding!

Amazing!

I thought that I understood the skirmish at the Crossroads: I did not. Upon personally seeing the actual location, I now have a much improved idea of the sequence of events. This would not have been possible if I had not gone the The Netherlands.

Our lady guide was a survivor of the conflict. Her commentary provided insights that simply do not make it into history books and after-action reports. Hence, the NLM in Holland rates 5 stars.

As I thought that I understood the Crossroads skirmish, I also thought that I understood the Battle of the Bulge/Bastogne fight. I did not. I came away with a new respect for the guys who participated in that fight.

Amazing!

Our guide was the Cemetery Director. His commentary and descriptions provided information wherein I was unaware. In particular was the descriptions of how the actions of 2 Medal of Honors recipients delayed the German advance into the Foy area of operations. Very informative. Moreover, see the grave of General Patton was also of interest.

This place was humbling in that you really have to see it to have such an understanding of what happened there. I find it amazing that there are any survivors at all to tell their stories. I am glad their stories are public.

I always thought that the Eagles Nest was Hitlers HQ. After visiting the location, I now have a much better understanding that the EN was principally of symbolic value. I am glad that the Eagles Nest was on the tour.

If anyone has a bad meal on this tour, it is their own fault.

Charlie is an outstanding historian who has the rare ability to translate dry historical facts into vibrant life that seemingly just happened;

The van was comfortable and well-apportioned for this tour.

Carol & I enjoyed ourselves immensely. As a retired Army Officer, I am very familiar with the unit actions of WWII. We saw same battle sites that have been in so many books, but seeing them with your own eyes does bring home some interesting details that cannot be covered in the books: the smells, the nearby cultures, the depth of the bomb craters, etc. This tour has my endorsement.

Would have liked to be closer to towns and able to walk

Holland woman had great stories but she talked so long we never had time to look around the museum and missed half the exhibit. She would get mad if we wandered away and yell at us. Otherwise they were great. Never get rid of Francois! He was amazing.

Andrea was the best. She took care of everybody with energy and a smile.

Mr. D was the best bus driver I have ever seen. Not having a usable bathroom on the bus made me have to limit water intake and made me alter everything. Provide a bathroom that isn't for emergency only.

Loved it

11-day Italian Campaign review

Our travel plans were handled courteously, professionally and efficiently. All the travel documents were correct and any required instructions were provided in a timely manner.

The amount of information provided gave me confidence in a proper run tour process.

We were "blown away" with the offerings for breakfast at each of the hotels we stayed at, with the exception of the Ergife Palace Hotel in Rome. The other hotels, particularly our hotel in Catania, served exceptional offerings for breakfast and the staffs were extremely pleasant and professional. The same could be said of the evening meals we were served at all but the Ergife in Rome. In so far as our on the road meals, the restaurants chosen were very good and were representative of the regional foods they were known for. In this, our mid-day meals in the restaurants in Rome were also excellent.

I would specifically like to commend the following guides for their excellent presentations: Our Agrigento Guide Marco for keeping our interest with his knowledge of his subject matter and how he showed us particulars of the ground structure and other aspects of the local area. His humor in his delivery of what could be a very dry subject, showed that he was hysterically funny and I very much enjoyed his side comments. Marlena, our Vatican and Colosseum guide was also exceptional in her description of the Sistene Chapel and in her delivery. All enjoyed her very much. A very amusing and personable guide. Our Rome guide, Massimiliano had a very clear knowledge of his subject and interacted very well with the tour group. I liked his rendition of the history of the German Occupation of Rome as I had a personal connection to that aspect of the war through my mother. Unfortunately, while our Pompeii guide was certainly in command of her subject, she tended to get lost in the minutia, and therefore lost part of her audience halfway through the tour of Pompeii. I think she needs to tailor her presentation to the tour group with the realization that Pompeii is a very large and busy place and most of us had a difficult time hearing her above the noise of the other touring groups.

What can I say to add to this tour as I have a great love of Italy? Obviously, some of the sights required much more time than others. Personally, sights like Pompeii needed more time and I feel that perhaps allowing the tour participants an opportunity to explore Pompeii on their own with the option of renting an audio guide, would allow for a better interpretive walking tour, since the site is extremely busy, would be a better alternative to a single tour guide. I think that using the audio system at the Sistene Chapel and Colosseum was ideal, given the number of people present. Perhaps this might have assisted our Pompeii guide. In all of this was our Primary Tour Guide "Charlie." He was spectacular in his care and accounting for the needs of his group. His was tireless in his coordination of events and activities. He showed great stamina and was very relaxed with the group, yet constantly making sure that all of the tour's activities went on ithout a hitch.

Travel by motor coach was exceptionally comfortable. The bus drivers were tremendous in their skill and concern for the safety and well being of the group, and loading the luggage. All were amazed at how deft they were at navigating the many small and congested side streets of Italy. I would give them an A plus!

Charlie was the perfect tour host. Funny, amiable, professional, efficient and quick on his feet at seeking alternative arrangements when things did not go as planned. He kept his cool and showed he knew what he was doing and displayed confidence in all his efforts. I would travel with Charlie again in a heartbeat!

Great that you take the time to listen to your tour patrons. The fact that so many of the tour participants were return customers shows that you are doing something right. I would travel again with Procom.

Who doesn't love Italy? It's a no-brainer. With the exception of the hotel in Rome, this was a great tour. It had everything. Along with the WWII aspect of the tour, the ancient sites and the amount of history available, the climate and scenery, scope of regional foods and the friendliness of the people, one could not lose in choosing this tour. Even if someone was not interested in WWII history, there was certainly something for everyone on this tour.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Some were not pleased with the hotel in Rome. Too big. I found it fine. Also towels were an issue. I feel that is just part of what Europe is about.

This would be my one disappointment. There was way too much pork. It felt that every other meal was the same. The pizza was good but not considered a dinner. Maybe I'm wrong but going to Italy I thought there would be a lot more pasta and I was looking forward to that. There was very little. What we got was very good though so I'm not complaining about the quantity or quality. Just the variety.

This is difficult. This tour was very different from the Normandy tour. There just isn't as much to see in Italy as there on the Normandy tour. Not as many memorials and recognizable battle sights. It was nice though to get some non WWII regular tourist sites. That appeals to the less enthusiastic WWII traveler especially if you've never been overseas before. I had been to the Normandy countries numerous times but had never been to Italy.

Charlie was perfect. Right amount of knowledge. Right amount of humor. Right amount of caring to assist us and keep us informed. Only thing to mention for him to improve would be to review the next day activities the day before and advise dress codes and/or suggestions to remind us.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

very professional, answered all my questions and were very helpful and responsive

Excellent but would have liked to have spent a bit more time on the beach. the tour guide extremely proficient and knowledgeable

Great, would have liked to have spent a little more time on the beach. Really enjoyed exploring the terrain associated with the air drop and the local shops.

Great.

Excellent and great relation from the movies to the actual battle. I really enjoyed the museum

Good.....

Outstanding and the docent was great. I had not seen much of this information and I liked the way that it was presented.

Enjoyed seeing Bois de Jacques and the military equipment museum.

Because of my father in law's involvement in the battle, it was especially interesting.

I thought the guide was one of the best that I had heard...in less than an hour, he presented the entire western european campaign, related personal stories, and answered questions. I was very impressed.

I have been here several times, and most recently took a group of my students there. I wish that I had the information that Steve presented before my trip because I could have made it more interested and personal. He did an outstanding job of providing information and description of life in the camp. Much more interesting than if we had simply had the headsets and followed the tour. I really was impressed.

Again, Steve's knowledge and his presentation of the events in Munich brought the information to live as we visited the historically significant sites in Munich

Again, Steve made history come to life as we walked the grounds and then had the chance and time to visit the Eagle's Nest and then had time to enjoy the sites from the Kelstein....

All were professional and informative and able to not only answer questions and relate the information that kept all in the group focused...they were among the very best that I have had in my many trips around Europe

Wasn't too impressed with the dinner buffets in Munich nor the meal at the brauhaus in Munich...I felt that the food here was all cooked in the same vat of hot grease which should have been changed...but the beer here was very good...All the rest were great and the service wonderful...And I understand the reason for the dinner buffets due the number of people and the time that we were arriving...

Andrea was professional, competent and capable. I have a food allergy and she checked with me and the server several times to ensure that my food was ok....My baggage never did catch up with us, and she kept in touch with Air France on the status of the baggage. I really appreciate the personal time and effort that she provided to take care of my needs. I also thought that she was very personable, and related well with the group, despite age and most of the time gender differences. She kept the group on time and seemed to relate well with the guides. She was professional and made the trip fun.

The driver was professional, patient and friendly. He seemed to enjoy the group and I think all were impressed with his driving skills and personality

I got more out of the tour than I expected. It was much more indepth in the information provided, and the tour guides were more proficient than I expected with side trips to add more to the experience. I would highly recommend this tour to history buffs who want more out of a tour than just showing up, taking pictures, and going thru a few museums. I really enjoyed the tour, was impressed with the support and information provided and would go again

11-day Italian Campaign review

All the hotels were basically fine. Plaza - excellent breakfast. But my room had a bath but no shower curtain. Also, hotel didn't have a bar. Mandetta - only one night. No issues. Edra - very nice. But bar a bit sketchy (Maybe the Italians just don't do bars the way we do). Ergife - good food incl breakfast and good bar. Only issue - AC turned off.

No complaints - good choices.

All very good - missed the guide at Agrigento. Pompeii guide OK but ended every word with an "a". Seemed annoyed that so many of the participants departed her tour and went their own way. really enjoyed the Lt. Col. but he should have started with the military buildings.

Loved the Rome Vatican and ancient sites. Not much to see re WWII other than gate that Clark came in through, the Mussolini buildings, Gestapo office and site of the massacre. Anzio beach not so interesting given that the landing was unopposed. San pietro excellent as was Monte cassino and area where we tried to cross the Rapido.

Those guys did great work!! Esp at San Pietro.

Charlie did great. Managed all issues with apparent ease. Very knowledgeable.

I really enjoyed this tour. But probably more because I wanted to see some of Italy than because of the military aspects of it. I got the impression that the allies never really beat the Germans head on. Rather, as allied pressure built up to a certain point, the Germans retreated to new positions. So there were no really distinctive battlefields (such as Omaha Beach in Normandy). Nonetheless, I still think more emphasis could have been placed on the tactical situations - such as the Polish attacks at Monte Cassino - where the German positions were and where the Poles took the most casualties. Same goes for San Pietro Infine - we saw the town but not the actual avenues of the U.S. assault toward the town. Anyway - maybe more emphasis could have been placed on such topics.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I marked the Rilano Hotelin Munchen down for one reason, no Wi-Fi access in the rooms without additional cost and/or an individual router. In todays world, for USA travelers that is a BIG minus!

Francois assist to an injured tour participant was OUTSTANDING! It is one thing to be knowledgable, another to open his family and home. Dispelled the concept that the French are standoffish. Henri was a truly unique look into the Battle. The guide at the Pegasus Bridge was fun and knew what stories to point out. Steve was another knowledgeable insider and bold in getting into lesser know locations.

No complaints. Lots of food, variety and well prepared. I missed some variety in fruits and vegetables, but chalked it up to the culture. The buffets were great for variety and options.

Andrea was efficient and kept the group moving, especially after getting her whistle! :-)As appropriate she became more relaxed as the days moved on, getting familiar with the personalities. Good sense of humor. She earned her title of "Dame Andrea, Wench of the Whistle for the Royal Order of the Knights of the Knuckle"

I had no issues from start to finish!

It delivered what I paid for. The Tour was run well, and provided all the assistance, info and support I expected! I would recommend the tour without hesitation!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Communication was great and I felt well informed.

The personal webpage with the tasks and information was helpful.

The rooms at all the hotels were very nice and clean. The staff were friendly as well.

The time spent in the memorial area of the museum was very nice and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. However, she went too far in the weeds and spent too much time at displays, leading me to believe this part would've been much better as a self-guided tour.

The tour guides were excellent and their passion for the material was evident. It was like they were telling a story and not just reading from a script.

I enjoyed the quality of the food and tried a couple new things. Everything was delicious. The only thing close to a complaint would be less chicken meals, but I know sometimes we were at the mercy of the restaurant or hotel's kitchen to decide that.

Marietta was amazing. She kept us well informed not only in the history of BoB, but also in the administrative, and logistical stuff along the tour. She kept us on time and on schedule as the group leader, but we felt as though she was part of the group and very friendly.

Very amazed at how he was able to maneuver the large bus in some tricky and small spaces we travel through on European streets. Very professional and friendly.

Everything was well done. We were able to see many different sites and we stayed on schedule. The quality of the tour let me focus on the historical sites and enjoying myself because I knew the details were handled by a competent team. I always recommend the tour and look forward to going on another Procom trip in the future.

All the information we receive is excellent!

The hotel was very nice and accommodating requests.

The tour of Dover was great. The bunkers were very interesting.

I learned a lot at Uxbridge.

One of my favorite places on the tour!

Great tour guide and the museums were extraordinary

I would have liked a few more minutes there. I do understand timing to get from one place to another takes time.

I have visited the CWR before and I always learn something new.

Loved this stop! The D-Day Map was totally wonderful to see!

Since I am a quilter and love to do applique, this museum was TOTALLY AWESOME!

Each guide was so very interesting and knew so much about the place we were.

Very good!

I was so excited to have Marietta as my guide once again. I had her in 2014 and loved her knowledge!

Too bad there's not a magic wand in major cities to keep traffic flowing at a good rate!

Excellent!

I always highly recommend your tours. I am trying to get a few more interested in going. One high school friend especially liked when I posted pictures on Facebook for my friends. I am trying to get him interested in taking a trip with you!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Understanding there was no daily meal choices was a surprise

Arromanches was exceptional , juno was disappointing but that was not the tours fault

Guide was great

Mary was exceptional explaining the movements

Was a huge highlight. Henri was an excellent guide

Excellent

One tough tour guide but she knew her stuff!!

Excellent guide

A big highlight a great guide!

Mary was the best of all!

Only about 3 dodgy ones!

Mary was top shelf. Her vast knowledge and commentary throughout the tour has inspired me to promote my experience to the many people who have asked me about my trip. She is a true inspiration to anyone who loves the history of the period

MR D was amazing I dare anyone to drive a motor coach safely where he took us!

The tour was great. I would recommend the tour because of the obvious passion for history that the employees possess

I would have liked more time to spend there to watch the video.

Too much food!!

I would place the video screens in the middle aisle...affix them to be folded up when not in use. When we watched the videos, I couln't see the screen.

The tour was very good. I would recommend the tour to everyone, especially those interested in WWII. I taught school/history and learned so much about WWII that I wish I had known when I taught.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Overall very nice, but rooms are not configured for non-spouse room mates. Had to separate the beds in each hotel. Awkward.

Weather was bad and visibility was 00, but couldn't be helped.

Very knowledgeable and patient with guests.

Very good, no one went hungry or lost weight.......

Charlie bent over backwards to try to please everyone, especially several very demanding guests.

Took that bus to places I doubted he could negotiate, but he always did....

I would recommend BoB tour to anyone with desire to really get a deep understanding of the Normandy landings and subsequent major actions in the ETO.....

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

No Issues prompt and helpful replies to my questions.

A++

The Juno museum was not very good. Way too many words and not enough artifacts. They had one good movie "they walk with you "and the Higgins boat movie was just ok

Really liked this museum and the movies where the best out of all of the museums

Everyone was great and very informative. Not a bad one in the bunch.

The only bad one was lunch when we were going from Normandy to Netherlands. Just A bland cafeteria by the side of the road. Every other meal was great.

Mary was Awesome, great tour guide and a great personality to boot.

Mr D was a great driver. The bus was great wish I knew that the bus had wifi from the start instead of half way through.

Definitely a great company offering great tours.

I would definitely recommend this company and the tours. Already thinking of booking another tour in the next year or so. The tour was great and had no regrets with the tour.

All were clean and comfortable. Hotel personnel were pleasant and helpful!

Very Informative

Nicely done and Informative

Very Informative, filled in a lot of detail I did not know!

Again very nicely done and informative. Learned a lot of detail I did not know!

Very Informative and emotionally presented. One of my favorites!

This was my second trip to Dachau. By far the most informative, learned a lot of new information.

Not much time but enjoyed the sights.

One of the highlights for Martha and myself. We really enjoyed this tour.

All were really good and knew the subjects well.

Meals were enjoyable and large.

Charlie is the best tour manager I have ever had. He took great care of everyone and went beyond expectations to help us when we forgot an important paper.

Long trips are hard on older passengers.

Great services provided by all.

Because it was a good value and provided an expert tour of all WWII sites we visited.

24-day TR Super Combined review

They were great. they took time to help me mail books, beersstiens and rushed me to buy 2 near closing time. They all added a personal touch. Its hard to find the words. they were great

learned a lot

a personal tape recorder to tape all the tour guides. So much knowledge.

beautiful, clean, people very friendly. The whole facility was first class. As were your people

what a place

I was there, read about it saw movies on it, but I was there thanks for the tour

I have 2 books on the code machine, now I have them all and about Turning, I have one on him prior to the trip

great

beautiful, so well maintained and peaceful

Closed my eyes as I saw movies and felt like I was there during the war.

wow

so much to see, great

Its hard to believe the brave soldiers that went through this hell hole and brought freedom to Europe

so sad to think of the lives lost

so sad to think of the lost soldiers

what an undertaking, awesome.

I have watched the Band of Brothers many many time, thanks to you I was there

so much to see and read, can spend many hours in it

Its hard to find the words to describe it. read books but being there is something else.

wow

beautiful and so quite, can hear a pin drop.

so sad, what were people think about. it is great that those good people made them stand for a reminder as what happened.

Had a good time

Standing where Hitler stood was awesome. have several books with him there and his staff and Eva

They are very knowledgeable and had a well presentation. very smooth.

I have learned to eat some different things. Portions were more than enough.

Those driver are really talented to be able to turn corners on those narrow streets and turn-around.

learned to tell time in METRIC minutes. Could not ask for better people. They were there for us all the time. they mixed in with us all. They went above and beyond to make the tour a lifetime of memories

Ivory soap quit at 99.9%, you are 101%

24-day TR Super Combined review

Basic itinerary. Doesn't need to be exact but a general guide line.

A reminder of lots of walking would help

Must love Churchill

Nice to see George and hear the history

Would be nice to see when the shops are open

First rate and knew their stuff. Easy to approach and ask questions. Sometimes translation was lost from native tongue to English.

Native foods were great, just a bit more variety in choices.

A bus is a bus

All did a great job of herding a bunch of older Americans around with enthusiasm, flair and guile. All problems that occurred were handled with in a professional manner. We like a little more free time to be built in to tours for shopping or rest as needed.

The tour hit a home run for me and my needs and desires. The super combined tour went to all the places in the ETO that I've longed to see all my life.

18-day Third Reich Combined review

Unbelievable! That is how my wife Peggy and I would describe our recent combined Beyond Band of Brothers and Third Reich Tours experience. The tours exceeded our expectations! The entire tour was well organized, well balanced, the food was excellent, hotels were great, the Procom and local tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about all historical aspects of the tour, they were sensitive to individual's specific needs and above all customer service was NUMBER 1. Now, you must be asking the same question we did when we started reading the reviews on their website. How can anything be this good and of course the staff at Beyond Band of Brothers only picked the best reviews to post? Based on our experience, this could not be further from the truth. Also, the majority of people we met on the tour had nothing but positive things to say about their experience. This being our first organized tour we had a lot of questions. Will the tour be well organized? What will the hotels be like? How will the food be? Will we get enough to eat or will they "cheap out"? Will the tour guides be knowledgeable? Will the tour guides be professional? Will they be able to handle difficult individual situations that would distract from the tour? Having completed the tours, we can now say that none of our questions were a concern. Although we were part of a group of 30 people, we always felt we were being personally taken care of. Our first contact at Procom was with Cassie in their office. She was always professional, courteous and responded to our e-mails quickly. Their website makes it easy to provide all pertinent information required for the trip. We also met Leanne who is another travel consultant in their office. To always improve the customers experience she was along to talk to everyone on the tour and observe how the company could make the tour better. Our 'on bus' tour guides were Charlie and Andrea. Both were extremely knowledgeable. We spent the Band of Brother portion with Charlie. Charlie is a historian, Fulbright Scholar and combines his love of meeting new people with his love of history. He not only provides his insight to the events that happened, but also little known historical facts that make the tour more interesting. If you are thinking about a WW II tour, a way to honor our veterans that fought and died for world freedom, don’t wait.

7-day Battle of Britain review

Because of the wait time pretty much only got to see the bunkers - would have liked to see more of the castles but enjoyed the bunkers. No reason for them to delay so much between tours but you have nothing to do with that.

One of the top stops on the tour - like going back in time

Tour Guide was quite good - Really enjoyed all the various aircraft we were able to see throughout the tour

Everything you wanted to know about Churchill in one place

Tour guide was excellent

expected more, pretty sparse on things to look at - then no pictures of the quilt so you have to buy the book

Good variety

Marietta was fantastic. She never blinked (like her metric time approach) when problems arose and was always in a positive frame of mind. This was my first trip overseas and I felt completely comfortable the entire time with her in charge and taking care of things. To be honest knowing that she was going to be the manager on a tour would make me choose that one over others.

Our driver was excellent! At one point the hedgerows had made the road unpassable by a bus and he backed it up and turned it around in the smallest of areas. Always smiling!

Tour was worth the price paid. There was a good variety of things on the tour which kept one interested throughout.

7-day Battle of Britain review

Great travel guides!

Great hotel---even had washcloths.

Loved the castle!

What an assortment of airplanes!

It was a beautiful and peaceful spot!

Museum was very interesting.

The room where Eisenhower made the decision to go ahead with D-Day was very emotional for me.

I loved the embroidery!

One of the meat dishes had a lot of fat on it.

Marietta was outstanding and personable. She had to be very flexible with the time schedule due to the London traffic jams.

The motor coach was very comfortable, and the bus driver was outstanding getting the bus out of some very tight spots and dealing with the London traffic.

The service was very much appreciated.

The tour was outstanding, and I would recommend the Battle of Britain tour to anyone who inquires about it. I have a much better understanding of what took place during this period of history.

Hotel and location were great and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

The only reason for not giving 5 stars for the meals is because the two dinners at the Hilton were not up to the standards of the other locations either in quality or service

Marietta was excellent. She has the ideal personality for the job.

One comment about the movies would be to provide a dark background around the screen. Glare from the sunlight made it difficult to see the action on the screen.

Easy to work with, provided all the information needed to make the trip enjoyable.

very satisfied - always answered our questions quickly to help with planning of trip.

very satisfied

The hotel was great - the buffet breakfast was very good but the two meals served by the hotel were not as good as what we ate away from the hotel - also the service for the evening meals was not good.

Enjoyed this very much

Good information

Very interesting

Enjoyed seeing the different planes

Glad we visited - beautiful place to honor soldiers

Very interesting

The program presented there help me see the planning of the invasion and tie together England and United States to Normandy.

Enjoyed this area - the Overlord Embroidery was beautiful how it told the story.

I enjoyed all the meals except the two evening meals at the hotel - the food quality and service was not as good as other places we ate.

This was the second time we had Marietta for a tour guide and enjoyed her management and personality.

Enjoyed the new bus - extra leg room was comfortable and could see more with larger windows.

Overall the service was great - easy to travel as part of a group - provides much history information to help you understand the trip when you don't read as much as others taking the trip. This was our second trip and I would travel with them again.

Well organized - detailed information about each area - enjoy being in a group as you learn and travel.

Prompt to answer any questions I had before my trip.

Very satisfied

Everything was ready and available when needed or requested.

Very interesting to see and learn about battle of Britain.

So much to see and learn about, had time to explore.

Learn more about the code breakers, such an important part of the war effort. I didn't know anything about them, but learned so much from the speaker.

Very interesting, so much to see and had a lot of time to explore.

What a beautiful place to see.

Learned a lot about Churchill, my mom always told me he was a great leader during the war. My mom grew up in London so it was interesting to compare what she told me to what I learned about him.

Didn't really expect to see a house, thought it was an underground room. I learned a lot of the guest speaker. He knows his history and I did learn a lot.

This was an important site to see. I could see why Britain needed to secure this site. Had a lot of time to explore.

All guides proved they know there history on the subject.

The meals were very good.

This is my second trip with Marietta, she is very knowledgeable on history. Very quick to resolve any issues that comes up during the trip.

Procom is a great company and works very hard to get travelers to come back for another tour.

Procom goes out of the way to make my trip everything I expect it to be. When I return home I go on to the website and see what trip interests me for next year. Yes, I would recommend your tours to anyone, I have done that too.

This was a highlight among highlights!

Perhaps reduce the quantity of food available, especially in Germany.

Mr. D and Akos were great!

Leanne at the office in Kentucky was five stars too.

Great! I am so satisfied with Procom I am considering taking the War in Poland tour.

I am a student of WWII history and my father-in-law, Joe Salas, age 94, is a WWII vet. The sites were amazing. Leanne, Nandor, Camille, Mr. D, Akos, and all the on-site guides were fabulous. The hotels, food, and transportation were first-class. It was my first trip to Europe and I'm glad it was via Procom. At the Paris airport, while waiting for my flight home, another U.S. bound traveler asked about my Beyond Band of Brothers t-shirt and I happily gave him a glowing recommendation of Procom.

Would have enjoyed maps and printed 'lesson plans' prior to each stop so we could be prepared for what we were going to see.

First class in all cases. Had recurring difficulties with internet. Probably not hotel's fault.

Steve seemed to be hurried - perhaps he had too much material but it was difficult to stay up with his presentations.

Food was plentiful and excellent. Would have enjoyed more choices but no complaints.

What a gem! Don't ever let her get away. She was a 'mother hen' and we all loved her. Excellent management skills.

Gabor was absolutely outstanding. Friendly and helpful, he was also a safe and dedicated chauffeur. An asset to your company.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

All the hotels were fine... particularly the first one in Normandy and the last one in Munich!

I would've preferred to see Omaha Beach at low tide to get a better feel for how deep the beach was when the invasion took place (but I recognize you can't control the tides!). A bit more info on the specifics about getting off the beach might have been a good idea.

The museum was wonderful and would have enjoyed more time there.

A bit more museum time would have been welcome.

Great detail provided by guide!

Our guide was fabulous.

Terrific explanation of battle and entire ETO throughout the campaign to end the war.

The detail provided by our guide was superb. A times he didn't speak quite as loud as would have been desirable.

I particularly enjoyed being shown photos taken 70 years ago at the exact sites we visited which enabled us to really visualize the history which took place. The detail provided by our guide was superb. A times he didn't speak quite as loud as would have been desirable.

I particularly enjoyed seeing the sites off the beaten track provided by our guide. The detail provided by our guide was superb. A times he didn't speak quite as loud as would have been desirable.

These folks were all golden, each in their own way.

Too much food for this client! Most of the meals were good-great. All the breakfasts were terrific (albeit I wish someone would teach the french to more thoroughly cook bacon!) :-) I really appreciated having a choice of entrees in many of the meals- that's important!

Mary is superbly competent in ability to lead groups such as ours. She kept us on time and made sure our needs were met.

Gabor is a treasure. He is a superb driver and safely navigated us throughout the trip (coping with several instances of bad driving by other cars/trucks). His personal warmth and sense of humor was always evident.

I had quite high expectations going into the tour and my experience met or exceeded everything I had in mind.

Pleased

Without a doubt, Mercure in Nijmegan was best.

Superintendent did a tremendous job. I have written a letter to the head of the American Battle Monuments Commission (Mr. Max Cleland) commenting on the job the Officer Desjardins did.

Covers the significant battles that Easy Company was involved in.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Fantastic hotels

The guides were outstanding. We were fortunate to have a small group of 10 so that we all were able to interact with the guides

Andrea did an outstanding job of keeping the group informed and on a schedule. Obviously this was not her "first rodeo". If I were to purchase another tour and she was available, I would demand that she be our guide,

I would strongly recommend the tour to any future historian interested in touring Normandy and the battle of the bulge. I can't imagine the guides being any better than we experienced. Every day was better than the day before.

Great and impactful sites visited. Would highly recommend tour but would caution anyone interested in this tour that there is a lot of walking, sometimes over difficult paving. It may be difficult for some persons to keep up with the group during a tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I especially liked the My Trip part of the web page.

Favorite sights: American Cemetery and Point du Hoc. Least favorite: Overlord Museum, although it was very good. Lunch was good and the restaurant was quaint although very touristy. Dinner in Bayeaux Center was good, but a very long walk from the bus. It would have been nice if the bus could have dropped us off and picked us up closer to the restaurant, especially at the end of a very long day.

Everything was excellent. Hard to pick a favorite site. Particularly love the stories of Angorville au Plain, St. Marie du Mont, and St. Marie Eglise. Loved lunch at La Grand Hard!! Dinner was very good and enjoyed walking around the port afterward.

Loved visiting the "Crossroads"! A very emotional feeling of being right there where it happened. Worth the drive!

Loved the building and the exhibits.

Loved visiting the fox holes!

The guide was very good at the cemetery. Visiting Patton's grave was very memorable.

The tour was very good although the guide(s) did not make sure the group was all together. I think lunch at a different location would have been better.

Because of the amount of walking involved we elected to tour on our own before dinner. We saw the Glockenspiel on the hour, but feel we missed out on a lot of the history of the city.

The weather was horrible, so of course, we cannot appreciate the beauty of the countryside surrounding Eagle's Nest. Eagle's Nest itself was a bit disappointing but we enjoyed touring the bunker below.

Francois was wonderful!! Very professional and really wanted to share his knowledge. Loved Henri's stories! Remarkable experiences! We did not have a guide at the museum in Oosterbeek. The guide at the National Liberation Museum was good. Keith and Steve were knowledgeable, but did not connect with the group as well as Francois and Henri. They were doing their "jobs," not performing their "passion." They did not make sure the group was together.

The meals were very good, although there was not a good variety of food offered in some cases.

Mary is wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her profession. She related to each one in the group and made sure we were all together when she was in charge. I would love to do another tour with her again sometime.

The bus was very comfortable. Peter was awesome!

I am very satisfied with the tour and very glad we went. I will recommend the tour to anyone who wants to see, live, feel, and learn about some of the key sites of WWII in Europe.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

All the hotels were very good. The hotel in Nijmegen and Bastogne were especially nice as they were convenient to downtown.

A great museum. I thought this was the best on the tour.

It would have been nice to have a clear day but can't blame the weather on you

All of the local guides were excellent.

The food was too good. I put on a few pounds during the trip.

Mary was great. Was very knowledgeable and did a great job of keeping the group in line.

A bathroom on the bus would be great. There was a bathroom but only for "emergencies".

The tour exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend the tour.

Outstanding

Enjoyed seeing the underground bunkers.

Enjoyed walking on the bridge and seeing the gliders.

Enjoyed seeing the battleground and the lay of the land.

Enjoyed seeing the forest and the fox holes.

One of the better museums.

Enjoyed the maps and seeing Patton's grave.

Enjoyed seeing the camp.

I had never been to Munich. I enjoyed the City Hall.

I liked everything about the tour.

Each guides seemed very knowledgeable.

The food wasn't the best, but it was good and no one left hungry. Breakfast at Normandy was the best breakfast. Worst breakfast was at the Best Western.

Mary did a good job. We had a good member group and I didn't perceive any negative issues.

I enjoyed the cold water. It kept everyone hydrated.

I would recommend Procom.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Niki was outstanding!

I was a little surprised at the amount of walking the first few days and the amount of hills.

Rooms were wonderful and staff was very accommodating.

Very emotional

Almost a surreal feeling

The experience in the woods was incredible

Not the emotional impact I expected. Others would be better.

Munich would have been better on Monday when everything is open.

The weather didn't cooperate

Way too much food! A little more variety would have been nice.

Mary is wonderful. She made every aspect of the tour perfect! Could not ask for anyone better.

Peter had unbelievable driving skills.

Outstanding company

If the all day bus trips could be eliminated it would be 100% perfect but that would eliminate important experiences. I took this trip with my 13 year old grandson and it will be the perfect memory for both of us. I could not have handpicked a better group of people to travel with which was an added bonus. Procom is the most professional company I have ever dealt with.

All hotels were nice, staffs friendly

Francois was a great guide for all of Normandy

Good, enthusiastic Canadian guide

Very good guide, interesting story and memorial

Dispite the simplicity, a highlight of the show and tour

very touching

Wonderful tour guide!

moving

Probably higher if it was not cloudy. Another good guide

Better than expected! A little more variety may be nice, but I understand the constraints of the tour.

Mary was wonderful; knowledgeable, kind, helpful, patient. She handled a fun group by letting us have fun.

Peter is a wonderful driver! We marveled the entire trip how he made driving the bus so easy. I may not be as happy with the motor coach with a larger group. That would have cramped us a bit.

Normany/D Day beaches would have been very challenging on my own. This was a wonderful way to take it in easily. I would recommend your tour b/c of the great guides (Mary and site specific guides) and transportation ease.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Information given to us was complete and questions were always answered quickly.

Excellent detail and information that had me prepared for the trip.

All of the hotels were clean and comfortable. The breakfast at each was great! The only negative about the Rilano Hotel Munchen was the A/C was a little weak for the temperatures hot temperatures outside. Otherwise it too, would have gotten 5 stars.

The Normandy American Cemetery was shrine like and very moving. Rudy's special stop at the Augonville du Plain church was special.

Excellent museum and perspective of the events that took place there especially at low tide.

The Mulbery Harbour at Arromanches gave a perspective of the ingenuity and size that the Allies had to bring to Normandy to establish a beachhead. It was good to see the perspective of the Commonwealth countries at Gold, Juno, and Sword.

One of the sights that I could truly visualize thanks to the HBO Movie Series.

The personal connection and stories from our tour guide at the museum made this very real and had a deep impact on me.

A common theme from my feedback is how the personal stories that were shared with us through our tour guides made the information and sites have a deep impact on me. Henry did an excellent job! Traveling through the woods and in the foxholes was surreal.

This museum was excellent. It may have been one of the best on the trip.

Again, an American cemetery that was appropriately shrine-like.

Steve did a great job of sharing vast amounts of information at place that embodied the worst of what man can do to another man.

Munich was good. At this point in the trip, I was emotionally tired after having seen and heard about all that had gone in WWII. Hearing more about the rise of the Nazis was less appealing at this point. Honestly, one of the best parts of the trip was spending time with fellow tour travelers at a couple of the bier halls.

A very beautiful place that was built for all the wrong reasons and undeserving person.

All of the guides brought forth a personal touch and a wealth of knowledge to each stop. Their contribution to the trip was great.

The food was excellent. Having travelled globally before, having the meals picked out reduced the typical amount of stress that comes with travelling around the world.

Mary was wonderful. She was energetic and always looked calm during our trip. That's not easy to do when you are responsible for 19 people (ages 11-66) in very public places that can offer opportunities to get lost from the group. Most importantly, she gave us the correct amount freedom and boundaries to keep us on track and keep the tour moving. This was not easy in our group as we had some guests who wanted to get their monies worth! Many thanks goes to Mary for her guidance and expertise on this trip.

Peter did an excellent job and put the motor coach in many tight spots with ease! It is a professional!

This tour is one I will never forgot. It gave me a perspective on a world event that you can't get from history books, photos, or film. It has made a lasting impact on me. I have and will recommend this tour to others.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

All questions and inquiries were answered promptly by Cassie Walters.

The detailed itinerary, the reading list the hotel list and the FAQ list, were all very helpful in preparing for the trip.

All the hotels were adequate. The bathroom space and arrangements were the only features detracting form ratings.

The heavy rain was the only complaint that I can make about the first day. The American Cemetery, Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc were impressive. Our Normandy tour guide was great.

I would have liked to spend more time in the areas where the 101st fought on the morning of D-Day, especially around Brecourt Manner. The Utah Beach Memorial was good but much to crowded. The museums and simulations in Carentan and at St Mere Eglise were impressive.

Andrea's description of the action at the Crossroads was very good. While seeing the bridges at Nijmegen and Arnhem was appropriate, I would have liked to spend some time in the areas of Eindhoven, Son and Veghel where Easy Company fought.

Although our guide (who had lived through the Market Garden campaign) gave a lot of credibility to the tour, we were rushed in seeing all that was available to us.

Our local guide, who lived through the battle, was very knowledgeable and contributed greatly to understanding what went on during the Battle of the Bulge.

Time was too limited to take in all that was available to us on the grounds and in the exhibition.

Our Munich guide was very knowledgeable on Dachau and Munich city sites. He contributed greatly to the experience.

I would have liked to have some time in the town of Berchtesgaden. The tour of Eagle's Nest was hurried due to crowds and limited elevator capacity.

All were extremely knowledgeable and capable of conveying their interests in the WWII events.

The choice of restaurants and menu selections was great. It gave an opportunity to sample some good cuisine.

Andrea is a delightful and knowledgeable individual who definitely enjoys her job. I believe the whole group enjoyed her and everyone respected her leadership and authority.

The bus was spacious and comfortable. Peter is a very professional and efficient driver. His driving skills in traffic and in tight parking lots are exceptional.

Procom provided a very good tour experience.

While I would have liked to see some additional areas (cited above), the tour lived up to my expectations which were quite high. I will definitely recommend the Band of Brothers tour to others. I may also consider taking the Third Reich and/or Italian Campaign tour in the future.

Loved them all

Too much time and emphasis on weapons. Would have liked to get more time outside

Great place and good guide

Too much information too much time there

Liked Steve, but he moved too fast and had information overload in Munich. Obersalzburg was a much better pace

Great leader! Witty and fun to be with!

Great drivers

Too much information. Too hurried. It was enough for 2 trips. Therefore, for a serious historian it was good. For a casual historian it was over the top. The sites were relevant, the guides were good, the food was great and the hotels were nice

Great host and extremely good maps that were used to brief the group

Steve was probably the best of the best. But all guides were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with questions.

The meals were beyond expectations!! Having the chance to sample the beer at each stop was not only educational but very satisfying. It provided the opportunity to learn from each other about their taste and local flavor of the beers as well as provided the extra lift that most tours do not do.

Andrea was terrific and kept everyone on their toes. She not only was knowledgeable about the sites, but was very good about keeping the group on schedule. She's a keeper.

Highly recommend the tour and already have done so. Very professional and most importantly a real value for what you get. Most people couldn't believe what the tour included such as fine hotels, 3 meals a day, admission to each site, and transportation with competent guides.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The trip was exceptional in all phases.

I was well satisfied with the pre-trip info

glad we went there, but without watching BOB episode it wouldn't have had any special meaning.

the afternoon of walking in Munich was least interesting part of whole trip. Providing an option to rest in hotel would have been an improvement. That afternoon seemed forced, and without any real point, but we were stuck waiting on dinner.

the added option of going into tunnels below the old hotel away from the big crowds was especially enjoyable. Made the whole day stand out as unique.

Museum guides in Holland and Belgium were too intent on following a schedule to allow for interaction. In Munich, Steve didn't listen to the group's feedback on his walking pace, and he didn't "read" the group's age and mobility issues. His info was unique and first rate.

Andrea established a good rapport with the group as a whole and with each individual. Her sense of humor was superb, and it aided her very much in "running" the tour. When we got off the bus, we knew where to go and what we were going to do. When we reached a museum or monument, she'd gone ahead and taken care of everything, so we had no wasted time waiting. When we got to our hotels, by the time we got inside she was waiting with room keys etc. She did a first rate, professional job with a lot of personality.

Very well organized, from selection of hotels, lunch and dinner locations, and specifics of where we went at the major venues. Especially in Normandy, there are dozens of possible stops, but every one we went to was without doubt well worth our time. For me this reinforced the feeling that the Procom had done its homework, and was on top of finding the best venues, and avoiding the second rate. Without doubt, I'd recommend Procom to my friends.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Big showers at the Hotel Mercure, but the flat design causes them to leak water, and also the first night the water was cold, but that was addressed promptly by the hotel.

Sites were great, learned a lot even though we had been to these particular sites before.

Going the ceremony was incredible. Dead man's corner museum experience was great.

Enjoyed visiting this town and the shopping.

Nice museum and displays.

It was great to see this part from the film.

I enjoyed this museum.

This was my favorite location on the tour.

All of the guides were fantastic, knowledgeable, and would love to have learned more from all of them.

All of the food was great. We were never hungry, and felt that it was nice to not have any fast food locations.

Nandor was great, and we also liked Mary, but felt she wasn't personable as Nandor. It could have been because she was often taking Jack (the WWII vet on our tour) to various places and ensuring he was ok at all times which was understandable.

I couldn't be more impressed with the bus driver's driving skills. He maneuvered so well in all of the places we were in. I really felt safe with him driving as I had no concerns that he couldn't get us in or out of any situation that might arise.

I thought this tour was fantastic, and would recommend the tour because we felt every aspect of the tour went above and beyond. I believe a tour of these locations could be done on one's own but you would see so much less because of the time you'd spend in lines, buying tickets, finding food, parking, places of interest. Also, I would recommend the tour because while anyone could visit these museums, etc. I don't think we could all find the special local guides that were a part of this tour. I really hope Henri and Jeanne are passing their stories on to someone, as they have so much history to share.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The travel consultant was very helpful and thorough in answering our questions.

As a whole, the hotels were adequate and met our expectations. We realize that many of the smaller hotels in Europe do not have air conditioning. Screens on the windows would have been a plus however as a means to prevent insects from entering the rooms at night.

Excellent. It would have been difficult to visit additional points of interest based on the time we had.

Again, I think we visited the primary points of interest from our perspective.

Excellent local tour guide. We could feel her passion.

A moving experience but compared to a previous visit I had made to Auschwitz in 2001, Dachau has been significantly sanitized for tourist purposes. This is not a criticism but did make the facility seem more like a museum.

Could have spent less time in the beer haul and a bit more time on some of the historical sights.

Excellent

As a whole, the local guides were excellent. Rudy in particular was excellent, very knowledgeable with a very good sense of humor. Keith was also very knowledgeable and we enjoyed his unique perspective and personal opinions on some of the subjects.

The meals were more than adequate in terms of quality and food quantity. The breakfast buffets were all excellent, far exceeding our expectations. The lunches could have been toned down a bit since they were generally provided only a few hours after a rather large breakfast option. The dinners, while adequate, would have been better had there been more options. Seemed like there was an over abundance of chicken. Would have liked an option to upgrade to seafood or even pizza on occasion.

Marrietta was an excellent organizer. She kept everybody moving along and in high spirits. Her command of the English language was exceptional as was her attention to detail. Everything ran consistently smooth which was quite an accomplishment considering our tour had 23 individuals whose needs she attended to.

Overall, we were vary satisfied with the tour.

The tour in composite exceeded our expectations. The fact that every detail was attended to for us, allowed us to focus on the history without having to worry about the usual logistic details that one usually has to deal with on a vacation. We would strongly recommend this tour to anyone interested in WW II history and seeing things that one would most likely not have access to on a "self directed" visit. Specifically, the local guides were able to provide information from their perspective that was relevant, thought provoking, and accurate. Our tour was also enjoyable due to a mix of really great fellow passengers who all seemed to get along and compliment each other's unique personalities in a constructive and entertaining manner.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I had no complaints in setting up my Procom part of the tour. Everyone was efficient and professional.

It was Great!

All of the Hotels were equal to the hotels I seek out whenever I travel here in the states.

Very moving to be there at the American beaches.

Amazing insight to the bravery of those who landed on the beaches. None were ever braver than those who came ashore that day.

All who came to Liberate Europe that day were always my heroes.

Good to see and learn more of the bravery of our other allies.

I enjoyed this museum and meeting those who preserve their history for us next generations that followed our fathers and uncles to see what Europe became after the war.

The warm weather didn't dampen the knowledge of the desperation and demand that these men had to hold this town and surrounding areas.

Each of the battlefields museums were excellent. I enjoyed and learned something at each one.

The most moving and prideful part of the trip were the visits to the American cemeteries at Normandy and Luxumberg. The way our dead were honored and remembered at these cemetery's is a fitting memorial to those who couldn't come home to live there lives that they gave up over there.

This was the most disturbing part of the trip and the one that caused me the most difficulty in dealing with the inhumanity of man. We had a lot of good information but being there was a sobering time for me. Everybody should be sent to see one of these camps when they are old enough to understand what happened there.

I went with the group that took the side tour " the Nazi Party tour " which was a lot of information presented excellently by the extra tour guide.

To me that was a great end of the tour, climbing to the very top of a mountain in the Alps, seeing those sites and having a beer and a soda at almost a mile high was a good ending to the trip.

All of the guides you provided to enhance the tour were very informative and knew their subjects but Francois, who gave me a vial of Utah beach sand, Jeanne, the little girl in the picture will always remain with me and Steve who gave the "Party " tour stood out and enhanced the experience.

Having lost my wallet in the Paris airport at the start of the trip, both Nandor and Camille moved heaven and earth to help me during the Normandy part of the trip until my son wired me money to cover the rest of the trip. One of our companions, Lewis Jones, loaned me 100€ to get me through the first days and Nandor loaned me money to get a book that I wanted at Omaha beach. Nandor also arranged for an early morning taxi ride to Bayeux western union facility. I can't thank either of our guides enough for not making me feel like a problem and helping me in every way. They are both really great people, you are lucky to have them on your team.

Five Star all the way!

This was my trip of a lifetime for me. It was all your advertising said it would be. I experienced the places my childhood heroes fought and died. Where my uncles came ashore weeks after the first landings and the fields our Airborne units were dropped. The insures allowed a lot of introspection and pride that I had in our American troops who liberated those nations we traveled. Would I recommend your tour? "Oh hell yes!" Without reservation. Matter of fact I have recommended it to two seasoned travelers already and gave them your name and email site.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The first 2 hotels could have been more comfortable if we had a fan in the room due to the warmer weather. Also the duvets were either too much for the weather and no cover at all was too little in the early a.m. hours.

Would have loved to visited ST. Lo

Touching and emotional.

Excellent job by the local guide!

Excellent job by local guide!

The local guide did an outstanding job!

Moving and truly "we must not forget"! Great amount of facts not known to me before!

A little too much detail but overall the guide did an excellent job

All did a great job. Keith spent a little too much time dwelling on too many specific dates and minute details in reference to AH. Too much to try and retain. Really loves what he does is very proficient in his job.

The meals as a whole were very good in the tastes. Could use a little more variety or 2 options. Also, the actual portions could be slightly reduced. As always the European breakfast was excellent at the places we stayed.

Marietta is a true asset to your company. She and Charlie even made a double back to a previously visited site at one point while the group was involved in another activity to retrieve an article that was left behind. Above and beyond what there duties are!!!

Charlie is a true artist in his trade!!

Wonderful tour! have recommended to a lot of people and will continue to do so. A tremendous amount of history and facts are presented on this tour. I would only suggest on a personal level to find some way to add little down time and reduce the number of real late arrivals at hotels and for meals. The trip form Normandie to The Netherlands was not bad since it was early in the trip and everyone's energy level was still high. I think maybe you should add 1 day to the trip and find a site somewhere between Luxembourg and Munchen for a stop and overnight. That was a very long day and a late arrival at the hotel and the a rush for dinner.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Food great. Rooms more than adequate. Wish all places had workout facilities but understand the logistical challenges.

Wish we had more time at pointe de hoc; guide was outstanding

More time at Utah museum...visit St. Lo would have been nice and we were so close to carentan....(same guide as Omaha=outstanding)

Canadian guide at Juno was really good

Pegasus guide was outstanding

Had enough time at museum

guide was fabulous

Great place but too linear..I didn't know how to skip/bypass some of the movies..if I could have done that, time allotted would have perfect

Much better than expected because the guide was great.

Guide was great

Same guide=great

Much more than expected; guide was great

They were all amazing, knowledgable and passionate. They made the overall experience what it was

Too much food and time to eat lunches. Would have preferred box lunches so we had more time at Utah and/or Pont du. Hoc. Not necessary to have a sit down lunch everyday....especially when we had such a great selection at breakfast

The only thing we could have done differently was maybe an introduction session the first night, in Normandy....maybe a 1/2 hour happy hour before the first dinner (cost-wise eliminate some of the lunches..especially on the highway...make those pay as you go)

Charlie was a superstar, coach nice and clean...could have used WiFi...nice that the bus wasn't overcrowded

Have already recommended it.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Extremely satisfied

If there was any info I needed, I just asked and someone got me an answer.

Traveling in Europe, I have noticed that unless I'm staying in a five-star hotel (and sometimes even then), Europeans just don't know how to design a good shower. The water pressure is usually fine, but I'm never able to take a shower without flooding the whole bathroom. I've just come to accept it over there. Also, I've never understood the concept of the quilt "pillow case," in which the quilt is housed inside the sheets and they are inseparable. Sometimes I just want a sheet, not the quilt. The linens were like that in all the hotels. One feature I really liked was the key card for the light switches. The U.S. should adopt that feature as it is obviously energy and cost efficient.

All the guides were wonderful. My only critique is that sometimes their enthusiasm for the subject got the better of them and they forgot to allow for bathroom breaks and water breaks.

I was surprised at the huge portion sizes. I thought that was an American thing. I thought it was unfair that the same free drink token was applied to a small bottle of diet soda as it was to a huge glass of beer.

Marietta was fun and personable. She was also quite conscientious about keeping the tour on schedule without acting like a dictator about it. I overheard a couple of conversations between her and a few travelers who were complaining about something and she demonstrated understanding and a willingness to try to help. Being a tour guide has got to be a tough job.

Our driver Charlie was a master. We were constantly applauding his ability to get that huge bus down tiny streets and around turnabouts. Also very personable.

My traveling partner and I came to this tour after our original tour with another company was suddenly cancelled. It was a blessing in disguise. The people at the tour company bent over backwards to accommodate us and everything went really smoothly.

I loved this tour. A lot is jammed into a few days, so I'd be willing to pay for an extra day so we wouldn't feel so tired. The drive from Normandy to Nijemegen is a long one, as well as from Bastogne to Munich. Aside from that, though, I will recommend this tour to others.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Answered all questions thoroughly and accurately.

Top notch, the "My Trip" web tool is a great innovation.

Guaranteed weather forecast but understand you cannot do that.

All the hotels were very nice- I think most Americans expect air conditioning and little things like clothes irons which were lacking. I particularly thought the Melba Hotel was charming and the hostess and her family very welcoming.

Although impractical it would be nice to have checked out some of the other museums in the area- but then it would be a 12 or 13 day trip. Rudi our local guide was first-rate. Love that he wears a suit for the cemetery tour day in respect to the fallen, a class act.

Great museum and monuments.

Sophie are guide at Juno Beach was very energetic and passionate about her tour.

Pauline our guide was excellent and clearly devoted to the memory of the British Para's that landed there and liberated the area.

Historically significant but really not much to see there.

Interesting to a point but seemed we spent a bit longer there than necessary. Guide went into excruciating detail.

What a beautiful site with moving monuments and lovingly maintained.

I toured Dachau back in the 70's and it was a sobering experience. The camp has much improved exhibits now and it is a moving and educational experience. For those of us who've served in the military- stopping this sort of thing from happening again is why we do it.

Have not been to Munich in decades but realize now I missed a lot of interesting historical spots at the expense of beer gardens...very nice.

Had been through this area many times to go skiing but never stopped. Great tour with lots of things to see above and below ground. Our guide was very informative.

See previous remarks.

Eating in Europe is always a challenge for the American palate. I'm not a huge meat eater but in the past selecting a vegetarian option often results in a salad or something weird. Portions were more than adequate and I felt I ate more than I should but it was all quite good. Breakfasts were superb everywhere.

Marietta was delightful. As I commented on a paper form with my gratuity she has the makings of a great platoon leader of company commander. Her ability to "herd cats" with a diverse group keeping everyone moving to meet the days objectives, problem solve on the fly, handle logistical issues, and deal with "people" and their baggage are all requirements for leadership. I'm a retired USAF Colonel and former Army NCO and I can say this with authority. Plus she did it all with energy and a smile! Would give her 6-stars if able.

Had the same driver for all but the last day. "Charly" as he went by did a first-rate job. I've driven tanks through the streets of Germany and know how hard it is to maneuver over-sized vehicles and he made it look easy. Truthfully he took our coach down roads I wouldn't want to take a Mini-Cooper on. Wonderful job.

This tour is a highly professional historical experience. Although not inexpensive Procom has literally thought of everything and built a worry-free trip of a lifetime for the WWII history buff. All you need to do is wake up, eat a hearty breakfast, and get on the bus and enjoy a full day of sites walking the path of our Greatest Generation heroes. Having all the details taken care of make this a stress free trip and gives one time to reflect on the events that happened at each stop.

Great stop. Enjoyed the cemetery guide.

Great ending to the trip.

Good meals with a nice selection of the various countries.

Both guides did very well at managing the group.

The driver did a splendid job taking us around. Very friendly.

I thought the tour was exactly what I wanted to see and hear. I was impressed by the guides and the locations we visited. Also, the other members of our trip were great fun to be with which added to the experience. It was nice to meet Jack Appel the WW2 veteran. What a fun guy to be around. You should offer him a job. Knowledgeable, helpful, polite :)

I think you should make a DVD of the tour stops and lectures to offer for sale after the tour. I should have taken detailed notes because of the sheer amount of information given. I missed/forgot the names of many place we stopped and would love to have that information in order to label my photos.

Very thorough coverage, Rudy was fantastic, an Encyclopedia of information (as was Mary). Veritable fountains of information. I should have taken notes.

The Museum tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

That lady really knows how to give a tour.

Very moving, but I'm skeptical that those Fox Holes are original after 71 years.

Another lady who really knows her history.

Gut wrenchingly sad, horrifying, fascinating, evil incarnate.

Steve was incredible. He is another encyclopedia on Hitler and the Nazi Party.

Absolutely fantastic!!! I would like a recording of their tours so I can remember all they said and let it sink in.

There was a little too much food for my husband and I. We felt a slightly lighter lunch would have been good. Perhaps there could be a choice between a lighter lunch and heavier lunch to cover big eaters and smaller eaters. My husband put on 4lbs. in spite of all the walking. Maybe too much good beer!

Give the woman a raise!! She was wonderful. She never lost her cool, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She had a wonderful sense of humor and watched out for and paid special attention to our 11 year old bundle of energy boy. We all loved her.

We have been raving about the tour since our return home. The tour was very comprehensive and everyone involved was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. You have our vote for sure.

Everyone was extremely helpful on the phone

I wish the tour guides would have given more history/information of places we passed while driving thru Germany to Munich.

Very comfortable! We enjoyed the complimentary coffee/tea in the rooms.

All amazing!!

A long drive to see it....but history of gliders was worth it

very worthwhile for history buffs!

All guides were a terrific source of knowledge!

Excellent!... I even opted for a few vegetarian meals...they were well prepared.

both gals were extremely positive!! We so enjoyed meeting them. They were extremely organized and helpful....

We were amazed that the bus driver could get thru some of the narrow roads in Normandy. We were always comfortable.

Excellent! Worth the money.

Excellent! High quality. No stress as everything is taken care of for you! The tour exceeded our expectations. Thanks! My husband was hesitant to travel abroad, saying he would only go to Europe if we could incorporate some type of Normandy tour. I googled WWII tours and found Procom. We were completely satisfied during our trip and would recommend it to anyone. After this tour, my husband has agreed to return to Europe some day!!

Wonderful!! I especially enjoyed the stop at Angoville-Au-Plain at the church, very interesting. Supper in Bayeau was enjoyable too.

Excellent guides. All of them were very informative, answered all questions, and used some humor that made it fun. Never boring!

Mary was fantastic, very friendly, professional and kept us all informed. Wonderful manager!

Peter was a fabulous driver. I always felt safe. I was amazed at his ability to maneuver that large bus in some small spaces flawlessly.

Service was very well done. Hotel were well appointed, food was excellent and the bus was comfortable. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The tour was all I hoped for and more. My only complaint: the days were very long with a ton of information and very little free time. Sometimes I felt rushed to the next venue. I still would recommend your tour because of all the services you include; meals, tickets to attractions, hotels, and, of course, the excellent guides. I have lots of wonderful memories, especially my second cousin's grave at the American Cemetery in Normandy. Thank you.

18-day Central Europe Remembrance Combined review

Very satisfied.

Very satisfied. The reading list was especially helpful.

The ParkHotel in Nijmegen was perfectly lovely, with excellent food. In Munich, the Golden Tulip Eching was beautiful, but our room had a see-through shower (a clear glass wall between the bedroom and the shower) that made it uncomfortable for us to bathe. In general, I thought all the hotels (with the exception of the Hotel Mercure) were excellent, especially the Golden Tulip hotels.

It was remarkable to be at Omaha Beach when they celebrated Memorial Day.

The difference in the terrain, slick pebbles on Omaha, sand on Utah, was striking. The pebbles on Omaha probably cost many American lives.

The Cinema Circulaire was extremely well done.

Our local guides were memorable -- a very dignified gentleman and knowledgeable, bright older lady were very helpful, nice and dedicated.

Very moving.

Very thorough tour with the local guide.

Amazing place. The views in the mountains are breathtaking.

All of the guides knew their history and were good. I am hard of hearing, and I had a great deal of trouble hearing some of them. (You might consider having head phones for those of us who are somewhat deaf.) Tell your guides how important it is to speak into their microphones. I want to especially compliment our guide, Theresa, in Prague. She was excellent.

Overall the meals were excellent. The worst breakfast was at the Hotel Mercure, the best at the ParkHotel in Nijmegen and at the Golden Tulips. Many of the restaurants for lunch and dinner offered marvelous views of the area we were touring (for example, Arromanches and near the Eagle's Nest). It was obvious that the restaurants were, with a few exceptions, carefully selected. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at the Ariel Restaurant in Kazimierz, Krakow, where a four-piece band provided a concert during dinner.

All the tour managers were excellent. I should especially like to commend Charlie Koves and Mary Racs for providing a first class tour in every respect, for working extremely hard to make the tour go smoothly. They were delightful, and I would love to tour with them again.

The buses were a great way to travel in Europe. The bus drivers had to be extremely skilled to get through some of the roads we traveled on! And they were kind, polite and good humored.

Excellent.

The tour covered an enormous amount of history from the most significant period in the 20th century. As does all history, it set the stage for today's world. It is vital to remember those years, how they happened, why they happened, so that we might -- just might -- be bright enough to avoid making certain mistakes again. It is also imperative that we remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, enabling us to stand on the beaches at Normandy or cross the bridges in the Netherlands or walk through Bois Jacques and marvel at their incredible achievements.

All questions were answered promptly and fully.

Definitely enjoyed hearing the docent's experiences.

Very moving.

Disturbing, but we should never forget what happened there.

Munich is a great city for tourists and Steve had terrific insights into the birth of the Nazi party.

Breathtaking views and lots of history. What could be better? I was a little anxious on the bus ride both up and down the mountain.

Too much food! But it was all delicious.

I can't imagine a better pair of managers than Camille and Nandor.

Mr. D performed miracles with that bus and never got a scratch on those narrow French roads.

I'd tell anyone to take this tour.

It was a thoroughly wonderful and moving experience.

Dinner service in Munchen was incredibly slow. Even so, I gave the place 5 stars. I was extremely pleased with accommodations.

The Canadian presentation of fine. If I HAD to skip just one, it would be here. BUT, the Arromanches stop was fantastic, especially enjoyed the film-in-the-round.

Very pleasant surprise. Perhaps one of my favorite stops.

You pretty much have to be a Dick Winters and/or Band of Brothers fan to appreciate the Crossroads. I am, I did.

Very informative. WELL DONE

Great!

Absolutely incredible.

Incredible experience.

Very enjoyable, was nice to have some free time.

Probably would have been a full five stars, we had a cloudy day. The region was breathtaking.

Well done folks... appears that you have worked to employ the BEST guides.

Best surprise of the whole trip. I packed a bunch of "tide-me-over" food. Didn't need a bit of it. You have the menus down to a science!

She is a PRO!!! Great demeanor, handled bumps calmly, yet certainly. Very mature young lady.

For me, it was a lot of money. Having said that, it was worth every penny. Procom made sure that I got to see every museum and that every ticket, token, or pass was totally taken care of. From meals to wheels, I loved my trip. Absolutely I would recommend the trip.

Somewhat disappointed by the meals in France, although they were good I was hoping for something more elaborate, and the meal at the italian restaurant in Bastogne was not good.

Marietta was outstanding and made the tour fun.

Janos was very professional and a great driver.

I would recommend the tour. It was everything you promised, very informative, thoroughly enjoyable.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Eagle's Nest was fine. Prior to going to Eagle's Nest our guide took us on a up and down very unsafe trail. I am 78 years old, and his explanation made it sound worth risk the walk. All we saw was a wall that could possibility be part of a house 70+ years ago. We then crawled over roots to see a VERY small piece of asphalt that could have been part of the driveway. VERY MUCH OVERRATED.

The guides were very knowledgeable and were very interesting. Steve (Eagle's Nest) had to MUCH of an ego. He was very unimpressive.

Enjoyed the tour very much. Would recommend that you stress the amount of walking. Yes I would very much recommend the tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I especially enjoyed the food at each hotel.

The lady conducting the tour here was most impressive. Every effort should be made to engage her for all future visits.

Meals overall were excellent

Both Camille and Nandor were excellent. They were always pleasant and very patient no matter how many questions we asked.

The bus was the smoothest riding bus I have ever ridden. Our driver was very professional and I never saw him do anything unsafe the whole trip.

Procom is obviously a very professional organization and it is reflected in thier people and organizational skills.

The tour exceeded my expectations and reflected Procoms desire to make it a trip of a lifetime for their guests. Their desire to make the trip better is obvious.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

These ladies were extremely knowledgeable and professional. There was never an issue that they couldn't handle well. They also made the long bus days go by more enjoyably with humor and games. They should both be promoted and/or given bonuses.

Our bus drive (Deszo, I think), was the best bus driver I've ever seen. He moved that huge bus down roads so narrow that it seemed like a small 2 door car would have troubles, but he had none. Our driver was polite, professional, and very courteous.

I already have been recommending the tour and I will continue to do so. I also plan to schedule another tour for myself in the future.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

If had had a question it was answered without any confusion.

Everything I needed to know was on My Trip page. Very easy to understand.

It is to bad that so much commercial business sits on top of this site. Bunkers sit in the middle of beach goers and business's.

Not so much commercial stuff much easier to visualize the battle.

Nice to see where a major battle took place and to see it up close like that was nice.

Getting out to the forest was one of my favorite sites...to see the foxholes and try to imagine where both sides were at during this battle.

I was impressed with how immaculate the grounds were kept.

Another one of my favorite sites...still hard to imagine that this was a small site compared to some others.

Nice to see where it all started and to get to walk around downtown on our own was a great time.

The trip thru the mountains had some wonderful sites and to see how they built the eagles nest was amazing. 100 yards in and 400 feet up is still hard for me to get how they pulled that off in the 1930's.

I thought all of the guides were very knowledgeable and would have been a disappointment without them.

Both Camille and Nandor always went out of there way to make sure everyone was taken care of and made sure we were always on time for the different stops...both did an excellent job.

Excellent trip and I told my son to start saving as we will be taking one in the next couple of years

The whole thing is well organized and the hotels were wonderful. All the tour stops with all the information we received was more than I had hoped for...can't wait to do it again.

Except for Dachau and Munich I thought the guides were very interesting and very knowledgeable. In Dachau and Munich I had trouble staying interested and he made offensive comments about capitalism.

The meals mostly were very good, but there was way too much food. After those large lunches(which were all very good) it was hard to eat again in the evening. Maybe a choice where smaller portions would be available.

Good tour and friendly, courteous fellow passengers. Bus was clean and frequent stops. Knowledgeable tour guides. Well planned.

18-day Central Europe Remembrance Combined review

We learned only shortly before leaving on the tour that the visit to the salt mines in Krakow had been cancelled and a visit to a different site had been substituted. Since the salt mines were one of the most important reasons we chose this tour, we insisted on going to the salt mines on our own. Fortunately, we received permission to go on our own, and our guide Andrew helped us find a taxi to take us there. It was certainly worth it!! Upon our return to the group, we learned from others that they had been disappointed by the substitute visit to Schindler's Factory. We did not find the salt mine visit to be too strenuous, and I recommend that you reinstate it.

At the Hotel Mercure in Caen, France, two of our scheduled wakeup calls never came through. Also, at the Hotel Mercure and also at the Golden Tulip Val Monte Hotel in Nijmegen in the Netherlands, it was impossible to take a shower without flooding the bathroom floor, due to the construction of the shower stalls.

All were very knowledgeable, although a few were a bit difficult to understand because of their accents.

A bit too much emphasis on French fries and meat for my taste, but on the whole very good.

The drivers were outstanding. They were excellent drivers and could maneuver our large buses around the tightest corners. Amazing job!!

Excellent.

It was a very worthwhile tour, and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about World War II. My suggestion would be to include more about the heroes of this period--people such as Raoul Wallenburg (who saved more Jews than anyone else), but who was only casually referred to when we visited the Remembrance Garden in Budapest. In terms of logistics, it would have been helpful to give each traveler a list of the names of the fellow travelers and the towns and states in which they live. This would have enabled us to get to know the other travelers more easily. Anyone who objected to this could have their information excluded.

Very pleased with the accommodations.

Tour guide here was fantastic

Tour guide here was fantastic as well

The tour guide at the Pegasus Bridge was fantastic. Also our guide at the Luxembourg Cemetery was wonderful.

Meals were awesome. Except for one quickie meal we had on the road at a rest stop, everything was excellent. The good breakfasts were especially appreciated.

Camille and Nanor were fantastic! They took care of everyone and kept us on schedule. Much appreciated!

Mr D did a great job! He is an excellent driver. And when we was not driving, he was always helping guests on and off the bus.

Very very well done. Excellent preparation and amenities. Excellent food. Excellent guides and tour bus. A+

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Hotel Mercure had large showers for Europe, but they have flat floor surfaces, so the water didn't drain, and instead soaked the floor outside the shower. For some of the group, the showers were also cold the first night, but that was fixed by the 2nd night.

Fantastic, Rudy was great!

Getting to go to the Utah Beach ceremony was the highlight!

Great day, glad to have lunch by the water, and get a chance to walk the town.

Great museum!

Great to see, not sure if it was worth the 12 hour trip.

Great tour guide, glad we go to see this.

Henri was fantastic, hopefully someone is documenting his stories!

Thought the tour guide went above and beyond.

Can't emphasize this enough - thought the tour guide was knowledgeable, experienced, and funny. I really, really hope that people do not judge him by his inclusion of political commentary.

Again, great tour guide, loved the free time to walk around a bit. Enjoyed Paulaner for dinner too!

My favorite day of the trip. Enjoyed the tour along the path to Hitler's house, the bunkers, and the Tea House! Wish we could eat there (the tea house), but assuming there's a cost factor.

Please keep Aachim! That said, someone might want to tell him that many Americans with WWII interests tend to be right of center in terms of their views, and may not be as open minded to hear his comments about the color coded chart at Dachau or the story about the women who brought up the 2nd amendment to him at the gun range.

I was never hungry, and was stuffed after most meals! I was very happy with the food overall. I was concerned about being hungry, so I brought snacks, but barely needed them.

I thought Mary was very knowledgeable, but did not come across as personable as Nandor did during the trip. I suspect that may have been because she seemed to be responsible for getting Jack (our resident veteran) wherever he needed to go, so she wasn't around as much as Nandor.

Don't lose this bus driver. This was the best bus handling that I've ever seen. He maneuvered thru areas that I could not have imagined attempting. He was great!

Overall service was great. I thought the tour covered everything I wanted it to, and included all of the extras I expected based on the cost, i.e. perks that one wouldn't get if they did the tour on their own.

I thought the tour was overall done very well, and included activities that we would not have been able to find on our own such as Henri or Jeanne and their personal stories. I would recommend the tour because I thought it was a great way to see these historical sites while not having to worry about any aspect of one's trip except for the flying.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Finding the tour bus at Paris airport was confusing (problem was experienced by others when we finally got there). The map was accurate but somewhat deceptive in that it was hard to navigate by foot from our arrival area. Some of this is because the airport is confusing which is probably a result of their adding new terminals over time which results in some difficulty in navigating. Ultimately it did not present a problem because our flight arrived several hours before the pickup time. However if we had had only an 1-2 hours we would have been seriously worried because we made several wrong turns inside the terminal and at the actual parking area which is not pedestrian friendly. I do not know what you can do other than warn those that this may occur and not to panic.

The Rilano would have gotten 5 stars but their Wifi was very problematic. Ultimately we had to take our iPad to the lobby to do our emails. We reported it to the front desk but they had no solution. This may be an example of what we have in the US of more expensive hotels trying to get their guests to purchase a more expensive level of WiFi but it was extremely frustrating and inconvenient.

The tour guide repeated some of the basic info we had covered several times. This was because they must assume most of the people do not have the background our tour has. They might tailor the tour a little bit for our group. I am glad that we went. They had a sincere appreciation of what the American troops had done for Holland.

The American Superintendent did a great job in her tour!

Same tour guide as Dachau but he was much better on this part

Nothing you can do but the Germans (I am sure purposely) only had information in the tunnels in German

They were fantastic!!! Always helpful and cheery. They were sincere in their enthusiasm.

A Fantastic experience! (I apologize for the repeated use of that term but the overall experience was just that) Yes, I would recommend the tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The hotels we stayed at were amazing! As far as our family goes, it would have been nice to stay closer together at all the hotels, but we managed. The only complaint I have is at the Hotel Golden Tulip Olymp in Munich, our room was not equipped with any kind of air conditioning, which made for a very HOT room in the evening and at night. The second night we were able to get a fan for the room, which helped a lot! All in all, the hotels were amazing! We especially loved the hotel in Nijmegen, and the beautiful grounds surrounding it.

I loved that it wasn't taken over by anything "touristy" at all. It seemed to help maintain the reverence of the place, and honor what happened there. The American Normandy Cemetery was a very special, and beautiful, place to visit.

Incredible!! Will's only complaint is that he didn't have time to see the Utah Beach Museum (the museums were his favorite parts), but I think that is part of the normal tour. We felt especially blessed that we got to be there on D-Day. I felt we may have lost a lot of time waiting in line for the new attraction at Dead Man's Corner, and would have liked to see more places around there.

LOVED IT!! The walk down from the cinema to the beach was incredible, and the lunch at the cafe by the beach was unforgettable.

This, too, was an amazing place that I didn't really know about before. So glad we went there!

This was one of my favorite places to visit! I could probably say that about every place, but it was amazing to see where this important battle took place.

I also loved this museum!! The fact that both tour guides our groups got at the museum were a small part of WWII and could share their memories with us, was priceless!!

What we saw was great, but I would have loved to spend more time seeing the battlefields and have less time free time around the city (mostly because there wasn't much to see in the city--just a bunch of stores). We flew through Foy, so we didn't get much as far as pictures go, but the foxholes were incredible!!

This was Will's favorite museum, hands down. There is a lot of information to look at there, but the little movies were very well done.

Jake was General Patton for his "Famous American," a few months ago in his 5th grade class, so that was an extra bonus to see his grave. The cemetery was beautiful, and I'm so glad we stopped.

Wow, what a place. It was strange to be visiting a place where so many bad things happened, but I am so glad we got to see it. I learned that all German students who want to go on to university has to visit at least on concentration camp, and I think this is a great move that the Germans are owning up to what took place there so many years ago.

Spectacular!! The drive there was incredible. What an amazing thing to see all these places where important history really happened.

I loved all the guides! I especially enjoyed hearing from Jan (I wasn't in Jeanne's group) in Holland and Henri in Belgium, because they were older and could share their own personal memories of the war. What a treat for us!!

Most of the meals were fantastic! A couple of my favorites were lunch at Le Grand Hard, near Utah Beach, La Marine Hotel at Gold Beach (you couldn't beat that view!), and the breakfast at Fletcher Park Hotel. My least favorite were the lunches on the road on our long-drive days, but there isn't much you can do about that. The food, on the whole, was great!!

Mary and Nandor were the best! They were always willing to help out or answer questions whenever needed. It was nice to have both of them as our guides because they each brought different strengths to the experience. Mary is very knowledgable about the history and politics of the countries we visited, and Nandor brought his own style to introducing us to the specific places we were going to visit. Mary was just amazing to watch as she would help our WWII veteran, Jack Appel, get around and help him with whatever he needed. As a side note, Mary always took notice and helped Will, our 11-year old who is absolutely crazy about WWII, but struggles with Asperger's and has a hard time when he's off schedule. Mary would take Will under her wing and help him out and was so very sweet to him. We will never forget this. She is an angel!

John was the BEST bus driver! It was fun to watch him drive in tight spots and the way he maneuvered the bus was incredible. He did a great job keeping the bus clean and running well. The bus was beautiful!!

Overall, the services we received in all aspects by Procom was the best.

I have never been on a tour before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it absolutely exceeded all my expectations. The hotels were first class, the meals were delicious, the tour managers were knowledgable, fun, and very professional. Just a few days into the tour, I turned to my husband to discuss the tour so far, and I told him there was no way we could ever do as much or learn as much as we had so far. Everything is planned out so well, which I appreciated. I saw that you won't be going to The Netherlands on the tour next year, and that made me so glad that we went this year, because that was really a highlight for me. I have already recommended this tour to many friends, and hopefully they will go with Procom when the time comes. I'd love to go on another tour with your group someday. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Cassie was very good. I emailed and called quite a few times and she was always happy to answer my questions and concerns. I kept in touch over the 9 months before my trip. The other ladies were just as nice and helpful if Cassie was not in. Very good team!

I was very happy with the information and the "My Trip" online was great. I was disappointed in not seeing the photos of fellow tour mates and also that not many did their bios.

The Mercure was in the most beautiful setting and it was lovely and had the best breakfast buffet. The dinners there weren't great, rather skimpy. We had to switch rooms upon arrival because there was a pull out twin cot for my 17 year old son that I would not allow him to be tortured on for 4 nights. And the room we changed to was nicer but no A/C! The hotel was on a golf course and we walked to town and loved it. The Fletcher Park Hotel was my least favorite, very plain, old and buggy with the windows open. Luckily we were only there 12 hours. It was in a pretty area and the woman at the front desk was so sweet. The Best Western Melba was very nice and again no A/C but it was right in the village and within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was sad compared to the others but it was owned by a couple and they were great, hard workers. The Rilano was the best "hotel" ( closest to what I am used to ), with A/C finally and good food. The worst thing about this hotel was the location. It wasn't near anything and I walked with our friend the second night and I didn't feel safe. It would have been great to be in the center of Munich so we could walk to the city and have fun and shop. I know Procom must have chosen this hotel due easy airport access but it wasn't good for most of us on the tour.

Loved it and the restaurant for lunch was great ( La Omaha with a nice bookstore inside it. Our expert guide, Francoise was outstanding and wish we had him all the Normandy days not just 2.

Loved Arromanches the most. Pay son and I visited here 2 years ago and that is why we wanted to come back. I enjoyed the free time there, but the restaurant not so much. And I would suggest changing the 360 degree Theater to the D-Day Museum because having been to both I think the movie was good but the history buffs on tour with us would have learned more about the Mulberry Harbor at the museum. And maybe giving an hour more in the town for free time. There were many shops and beach areas to see but we rushed to meet on time.

The guide, Kathryn, was outstanding! Great museum. Very long drive for too short a visit. Kathryn made you visualize the gliders and all the action. Loved it.

Very nice museum. The guides were great. Jeanne was very moving in her lecture.

The best! Wow! From the start of the day to the end. Our expert guide, Henri, was amazing and it was very nice of him to allow my son and the younger boy, Nate, to interact and go in the tanks. He also gave them shrapnel as a gift. I enjoyed the free time and the lunch. It was a great day!

Another great guide/Superintendent and fellow American. I enjoyed the detailed information she gave. I wish we could have made a 20 minute stop at a store to get a remembrance to show we were in Luxembourg. I did ask Nandor but he said no.

Too long to spend in such a sad place. The best thing was that it was Sunday and the Russian Orthodox Church had a mass going on while we were there and I attended it for a short time. But we were there 5 hours with lunch. The expert guide was great and informative but it was hot and I felt dehydrated. After lunch was better but still sad.

Outstanding! The best for last and made the greatest memories for us. We were lucky to have a beautiful day. I loved it all.

As I have mentioned in other comments, most meals were very good. I think the hotel dinners were my least favorite, they were either great like the one in Bastogne with the quiche and ending with the creme brûlée. Or not so great and skimpy and they tried serving American meals that were bland. We really don't eat that much turkey or pork in a year let alone 11 days. lol. But the breakfasts were very good, best in France at the Mercure. We ate very late at night usually when we got back to the hotels. I would have liked to eat at a restaurant on the road. The cafeterias were all surprisingly great! I liked to choose what I wanted from start to finish. Sitting with different people at each meal was great and we got to know everyone. Very wonderful people.

I think we were very lucky to have Camille and Nandor as our tour guides. I liked how they took an interest in my son and spent time with him and got to know him. Nandor was quick to assist in getting us a new room at the first hotel. he was very knowledgeable. Camille was very helpful and nice. I would travel on a tour with them again. Thank you to you both.

It is a very well thought out tour and packed with many stops that are not on the itinerary. It really followed the Band Of Brothers path and I loved it all. The expert guides and witnesses were wonderful. I would recommend this tour because it was great and had something for everyone to like, even the companions ( like me ). This trip was everything my son wanted and more and for that I am grateful. And for all the new friends we made on this tour. We seemed to hit it off right away with everyone. A great and diverse group and I felt comfortable with everyone.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Every person I was in contact with before , during and after trip was extremely helpful. The contact prior to the trip was just enough. It was direct and stream lined. There was no unnecessary contact. All my questions were easily answered by email. I was worried that my dietary needs would be a problem , vegetarian, but I was pleasantly surprised that this was easily accommodated.

As I said before all the contact was streamlined and non intrusive. I really liked the " My trip" page. This was an easy place to look to make sure everything was done. All the directions were easily followed . There were no surprises.

All of the hotels were very clean and tidy. I felt comfortable and safe in all of them. The hotel room in Nijmegan was like a dorm room. Very stark , not much pizazz ! Lol but the bed was comfortable!

All the sites were thrilling especially since we had a historian plus Nandor with us! It really made the history come alive !!

My only suggestion for the Juno sight was to have someone that is a little more versed in the history. We had a very young girl give us the tour. The bunker was fascinating. I think that the amount of time we had there was just enough.

The museum guide was an older woman. She was fascinating. I really enjoyed her introduction to the bridge.

Very moving. Nandor gave us a real blow by blow picture of what happened here. As well as just watching it on the Band of Brothers series.

I enjoyed our hosts at the museum. The fact that they lived through this and were able to relay their stories firsthand was amazing !

This was extremely moving. It was haunting walking through the forest and seeing the fox holes still there. I would have liked to walk around the village of Foy.

The museum was interesting especially with the 3 characters perspective on the guided tour.

The woman who gave us the tour. I think she was the assistant superintendent was excellent !!! Her description of the war and different battles was really educational. I wish she gave us the tour at the Omaha Beach Cemetary .

Extremely moving. Just walking through there was a sobering experience. Our guide was excellent. He gave us a clear overview of what life was like in this camp.i wish we had more time there . I toured most of the exhibits but I was unable to watch all of the movies.

The historical sights in Munich were interesting . I did not go on the extended walking tour because my father was not able to navigate well that day. But the sights we did see were interesting as guided by our historian. I enjoyed the brew haus.

This area was breathtaking! Just sitting above the mountains is a memory that will always stay with me! I wish we had time to shop around Brechettsgarden . The village looked very nice.

All of the guides were excellent ! Francois was fascinating , his knowledge was extroidinary . Steve was also amazing ! All the little obscure stories were fascinating !! Also, Nandor our tourguide was excellent! He was a great historian with a obvious passion for history! We did not miss anything while he was with us !!

I am a vegetarian but I do eat fish. All my meals were excellent , Camille was a sweetheart !! She was always checking to make sure I was satisfied !! I never had to wait for my food or feel that I was an inconvience since I was the only vegetarian on board. My father on the other hand is an extremely picky eater. He only eats at home and never goes to a restaurant! Lol he enjoyed all the breakfasts !! He was a nudge with the other meals but this is not a reflection on any of the meals that were served to him. They all looked fabulous!!!

It amazed me how these two were able to seamlessly keep all 41 people on track and on time without anyone feeling rushed or ignored. I can not say enough about how professional but friendly Camille and Nandor were. They are an asset to your company! No detail was left undone. Camille was extremely sweet and made every single one of us feel at home ! We never felt nervous to ask for anything ! Nandor is a consummate tour guide! His knowledge and passion was refreshing!! They were not stiff and aloof they were charming and approachable ! I consider them friends from now on !!

Mr. D was awesome !! I never once felt that we were in safe hands !! I was able to relax! I really don't like to ride on buses for any length of time but I wanted to take my father on this tour so I had to do it! But it was a pleasurable experience. The bus didn't even have that weird smelling air conditioning !! Mr. D was a quiet unassuming gentle man ! He was always there to help us off the bus . We loved him!

I can not say enough good things about this experience ! This is a well oiled machine !!

This was a once in a lifetime tour! I was taking this tour with my Dad and I was shocked how much I loved it !!! It was so educational and well done. The people were exceptional in our group ! I have never taken a " tour" , I always heard horror stories ! But our group was special, I met some amazing people ! My father who NEVER travels was thrilled and kept saying " we only have 2 days or 4 days left " in a sad voice! That was absolutely unbelievable for me to hear !! It was a trip of a lifetime for both of us !! I will and have been shouting my praises for your company to everyone I know !!! Many people didn't even know something like this existed !! I will always be available if any potential people interested in your tours want to get a firsthand glimpse at our experience .

11-day Third Reich review

Extremely satisfied

At the Park Plaza Wallstreet Berlin Mitte we did not receive our requested wake up call. After talking to other passengers, no one apparently received their wake up calls either. The room was not as clean as expected, the bathtub was very dangerous to use - a very high step was needed to get in and out of the bathtub - the grab bars were located in inconvenient positions.

All sights and events were very good.

The meals were excellent!

Motor coach was very comfortable. Bus drivers did a wonderful job getting us around.

The overall service provided by Procom was outstanding!

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with the tour and we would highly recommend this tour because of the outstanding service and especially our tour guide Andrea. She was a wonderful tour guide!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The folks in Kentucky did a great job, and the web site is very informative.

We were provided with a great deal of information. The only unexpected event was a change in a couple of day's schedules resulting from 2 tours being run at the same time.

The hotels were clean and comfortable. It is good to keep in mind that the electrical outlets are not the only thing that is different from most American lodging; doors that lean open from the top and HVAC control panels that have non-intuitive buttonology were two of the differences.

This was amazing as it had the original bridge, complete with battle scars as a display, and a short walk across the street puts one in the location where the gliders landed.

This was fantastic as we had a lady who had lived through the war there as our guide.

Seeing the forested area where so much happened in both WWI and WWII was quite moving in and of itself. But seeing what remains of foxholes used in combat, and coming to the edge of the tree line and seeing Foy, along with the cleared area between where we were and the town, provided a first hand appreciation for executing an assault over that terrain into a defended area.

The Belgian Army now operates the barracks as a facility. they did a spectacular job in recognizing our WWII vet, who just happened to be have been involved in that battle. It was also inspiring to see the actual facility that General McAuliffe worked out of during the battle.

These are places of honor that are inexorably intertwined wit the other sites we visited, and it is well for all to understand that war comes at a terrible price.

Built in 1933 -- long before I thought these existed. Not an extermination camp -- instead meant to work the prisoners to death. A valuable lesson in one of the darkest sides of the third reich.

Fantastic! We saw newer parts of the city and older parts of the city, where much of the history transpired. It also offered a glimpse into cosmopolitan life in a large European city in the 21st century.

A beautiful drive to get there on our bus and again on the special buses that go up the mountain. Amazing sites including things seen in background of photos from back in WWII.

The local guides were all very knowledgeable and friendly. They contributed greatly to the overall experience!

The food was amazing all along the route. There was always more than enough to eat, and most often it was superb.

Andrea and Camille are why the total experience was so awesome. They are both very knowledgeable, speak English extremely well, are friendly and outgoing. I simply cannot imagine the trip with anyone else.

Taken as a whole, this trip was a fantastic experience.

If you are interested at all in WWII, history, or seeing Europe from the roadways, this tour will not disappoint.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I really thought all the guides were excellent. Henri Mignon was exceptional. His personal experiences were a great addition to the information he presented as a guide.

Overall, great meals. The worst quality meals were at the hotel in Caen and at the restaurant in Bastogne. The best meals were lunch near Utah beach (didn't get the name of the restaurant) and dinner at the beer hall in Munich. Service was good and our guides were helpful in interacting with the staff at the restaurants to make sure we were all taken care of. The restaurants and food were an important part of the overall experience.

Outstanding tour managers. Really. I can't say enough good. Very knowledgeable, extremely competent. It was the tour managers that made the difference on this trip. The small things - like their constant vigilance in making sure that everyone was with the group and accounted for, or the fact that they split up at meal times so they could interact with the different members of the group. I was beyond impressed.

The coach was beautiful and clean. The coach driver did his best to keep it that way.

Procom exceeded my expectations in every regard.

The tour was very well organized and extremely well executed. The details made the difference, from the tour managers to the local guides. I felt like we maximized the time and took advantage of every opportunity to see the important and interesting sites. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing WWII sites in Europe. This tour was very well worth the investment in time and money. Truly a life changing experience for me and my family.

Guide was extremely good.

Really excellent and the guide was VERY Knowledgable.

Now I need to drop the 8 pounds I gained.

Mr. D was very helpful. I have a damaged left foot and he was very good at helping me when needed.

At times I felt Andrea could have used a little help keeping track of so large a group. But don't get me wrong, I feel she was VERY careful at keeping us together.

I don't know of any way to improve the over-all tours. I would not hesitate to book another tour with you. I had hoped to see more of the Olympic Stadium and the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin but I understand the crowd problems prevented getting to see both. Munich and Old Town Nuremberg was better than I had expected. As I said earlier the meals were such that I need to lose a few pounds.

Cassie was wonderful. She made me feel like I was a priority one customer! I know you have many others so I'm certain you treat everyone that way :).

You ensured that I was completely prepared!

Excellent accommodations!!

Tour guides Henri & Francois were excellent!

Hard to pack it all into the timeframe we had. I'm not sure how it would be fitted in but another 2 hours would have been most welcome.

Tour guide specialist "Steve" was most impressive!!

Wow!

I should've guessed there would be this opportunity to rate the guides. I provided some comments earlier but am happy to do it again. Nandor is simply incredible but the addition of the "area specialists" made an already excellent tour absolutely perfect! They were excellent - not only in their in-depth knowledge but were very hospitable & gracious in answering questions and "going the extra mile" to give us a complete experience. I've been a student of WWII ETO history for over 40 years and I was completely impressed!

Plentiful & delicious. I was very pleased that an emphasis was on the "local cuisine." I very much enjoyed that.

Professional, courteous, knowledgeable... I simply cannot say enough about either Camille or Nandor. Great people!! :)

I was literally FLABBERGASTED in "Mr. D"'s abilities to get us into and out of areas that were seemingly inaccessible!!

None better

I learned so much more than I thought I already knew!! (not sure that makes sense but you know what I mean LOL) I believe that even if someone - with no real passion for the historical aspect of the tour - was thinking of just accompanying a loved one because their loved one has a passion for WWII history, they would completely enjoy this tour as well - I'm certain.

All of the guides were outstanding. They had expert knowledge of their particular areas. Don't think you could have found anyone better!

Both Andrea and Camille were fantastic. They went above and beyond to insure that my WWII Vet father was given special attention everywhere we went. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Our driver was the most skilled driver I've ever seen. He could manuever the bus through the smallest and tightest streets with ease. Incredible!

This was a very professional tour. The 2 tour guides were always on top of everything. They attended to any request without hesitation. The local tour guides at every destination were remarkable in their knowledge of their subject. Tour bus was very spacious and comfortable.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I had no issues with the hotels, I thought they were all great.

All of the guides really knew their history and were impressive. Rudy was my favorite - he was a class act and did a great job making sure everyone understood what he was trying to teach us. He was especially good with the kids on the tour. Aachim was too crude for most on the tour, especially the kids. He also had some subtle "digs" and comments that were not appreciated.

So much for losing weight on this trip! ;-) The meals were delicious.

I can't say enough good things about Nandor and Mary. They were FANTASTIC and made the tour a huge success. I was beyond impressed!

I never expected to learn (and retain) so much on a tour. The places we saw blew my mind. I would recommend (and have already recommended often) this tour because of the knowledge the tour managers have and because of the use of highly qualified local guides. Also the fact that everything is included makes a huge difference when it comes to budgets.

Cassie was awesome.

Mytrip was a great idea.

I loved all of the hotels. Very nice and comfortable. The food at the Mercure could have been a little better but the room was very nice (except no hot water one morning... but fixed the next.... no biggie).

I wish we could have spent more time at Dead Man's Corner and stopped at some of the reenactor camps.

I loved Arromanches. I want to move there!!!

I ate meals that I probably wouldn't have had I been alone. The breakfasts at the Mercure could have been improved. The burger at the Eagle's Nest stop was great and very welcomed!!!!

They were great. Mary didn't seem to interact with us as much as Nandor though. Both kept us on track.

I wish we had a chance to visit St. Mere Eglise and more museums and reenactor camps that we seen. I took an afternoon to explore Bastogne alone, which was great. Njimegen was okay but not much to see and a long drive! Maybe something different in its place. Overall, I really enjoyed the tour and recommend it.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

With the websites info and the contact made prior to the tour, I felt confident that all would go well.

The hotel info became invaluable. I used google street view while viewing the list and because of that info prior to departure I was able to find a former railroad converted to bike path out of Bastogne that led right to the monument and fox holes. I chose the bike instead of the bus.

A month or two before the tour, I had advised the company that I was deaf. I knew that along the way, info from the leaders would be given along the way or at non-museum stops. I had asked if that something in writing could be given to me so I could review what we were going to do. None was given. I lost a lot of info. Trying to read the leaders lips was almost impossible due to there accent [from my point of view]. So, I just "let it ride." This issue won't stop me from traveling with your company in the future but I will work more closely the next time.

I was really curious [concerned]about the hotels chosen on whether they'd be cheap "save a buck" kind of place. Your choices were excellent and surprisingly the food was very good too. If I were to ever return I would chose these places myself.

If I'm remembering this museum correctly, this had English subtitles to much of the video downstairs of personal accounts of what the people went through. I didn't want to leave.

I skipped the 2nd half of the Bastogne War Museum. Instead, I rode a bike from the hotel up the abandoned RR and visited the all the sites from the monument to the foxholes and the German side of the battle. Best thing I ever did.

Such a beautiful place.

Very good. Even on the highways with fresh buffets.

It was a big loss not being able to know what they were saying at times. But, I could clearly see that they were well organized and kept this going well. Even when I ventured off from the group, I knew they kept me in sight and I also kept them in site too. Those pink sneakers....instantly identifiable! Munich was tough so the red flag helped quite a bit.

Give that guy a raise! Watching him get through Normandy was more exciting then the sites we visited.

I'll be back sometime. Italy is next.

I wouldn't hesitate to take another tour with your tour company. From the start [before arrival] to the last moment in the racing cab [230kph]it felt organized and in control. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you guys either.

It was a wonderful experience, surpassing all my expectations. I learned a lot and was surprised by some of what I learned; loved the appreciation, still heart-felt in Europe after 71 years, of what our troops did; and loved the emotional outbursts of love for our Normandy veteran on the tour with us. Seeing the actual places where so much of history took place was overwhelming. We thoroughly enjoyed our guides (with the exception of the one at Dachau and in Munich) and the meals were superb.

18-day Central Europe Remembrance Combined review

very satisfied

We were glad to receive some excellent maps and some basic words in the languages used in the countries on the 11 day basic tour. However,we didn't receive any maps or language handouts for the extended 8 day Eastern European tour. After asking, still didn't receive any maps. Nor did our tour guide verbally fill in the missing information.

Twice we had hotel rooms with a sitting room, which was very nice. All the rooms were clean. A few we found the lack of a larger shower curtain or retaining flap quite a challenge to keep the floor dry. Also, it would have been nice to have a fan, like we did in Holland, since the ac didn't always cool very well. The biggest problem was the very low quality of breakfast in France. A few of the hotels- Germany and Holland I believe, had wonderful breakfasts

These stars are for our 11 day B of B managers- Charlie and Mary. They were both outstanding as was our bus driver, Csaba!!! However, on our 8 day extended tour, Steve was a disappoinment. When we asked him questions, he usually knew the answers, but he missed many opportunities to teach us. Little things like not using the flag and not always having a manager at the front and back make a big difference. Many of us missed the maps and language page we received in our BOB packet. Also, he should let individuals decide to turn off their transmitters, rather than him not wanting to bother using them.Frankly, it seemed more like a job to him, but to Mary and Charlie it is a passion. Our 11 day BOB group thrived on their passion, always peppering them with more questions. That experience made the 8 day extended tour difference even more obvious. Cassie was helpful in a lot of little ways. We also noticed that the different bus on the 8 day tour had less leg room between rows. A few inches makes a bit difference during the long day trips.

Our 11 day BOB bus was very nice and Csaba was very professional and had an excellent working relationship with Charlie and Mary and to all of us. As noted our 2nd bus was a bit more crowded and we didn't get to know the driver at all. He seemed very competent. The biggest problem on the 8 day tour was they seldom had any or enough water chilled for anyone and these countries were much hotter than on the 11 day tour.

Very good.

Overall it is a very good tour. The two most important changes are to have both sets of tour managers equally prepared and passionate and to incorporate higher quality/local/national food. (always offer a second side when french fries are offered)With this said, we will be mulling this tour over in our minds for the rest of our lives. We have already told many people about the tour and this company, including a stranger I met in London right after the tour. Keep up the hard work! It is appreciated.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Very moving!! Beautiful! Special moment to be able to be a part of the Memorial Day ceremonies. Francois did a fantastic job during our Normandy stay.

Moving!

Beautiful!

Amazing what they accomplished!

The local guides were fantastic!

Beautiful!

Very well done!

This portion of the tour was a bit long for me. Charlie forewarned us that this day was going to be a challenge both physically and mentally. With this day being towards the end of the trip, it was especially challenging. In my opinion, this area is should be for the Third Reich Tour and left off of or abbreviated for the BBOB tour.

Wow! I didn't know the difference between the Berghof and Eagle's Nest. The bunkers were neat to see and, of course, the views are incredible!

Each guide was OUTSTANDING!! Well done!

The meals served in the local restaurants and at the other hotels during our trip were fantastic. I am a picky eater and was able to enjoy everything that was served.

Charlie and Mary are fantastic! They ran a tight ship and for good reason! Loved having them lead the way and would happily follow them ANYWHERE! We also had a fabulous group. The chemistry amongst us was unreal and everyone's punctuality, respect and overall commitment to the tour's schedule and protocol just made for an incredible experience. That doesn't happen very often! I'm sure this made Charlie and Mary's job a little bit easier and more enjoyable, too!

Our driver was amazing! He negotiated the roads and towns beautifully. I can get motion sickness from time to time, but not once this time! He was FANTASTIC! The MB coach was immaculate, well driven and pleasant to travel within.

Procom is an excellent tour company. I will travel with you again!

The Beyond The Band Of Brothers tour is fantastic! The group was managed perfectly by Charlie and Mary and we had an incredible group with which to study. The tour is very well planned, scheduled to a T, and very professional from the top to the bottom. This tour brings together the books, movies, documentaries, classroom history lessons, and oral histories and puts you right into what happened in 1944. You can see it, feel it, smell it, taste it, live it! The tour will also reinforce the patriotism within. It'll make you even more proud to be an American. It has been a month since I was there and I have thought about my experience there every day since.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Always friendly and it was like talking to a friend who had experience with the trip and the areas we would visit.

Most needed information was provided, but I would have liked to have received a bit more detailed information prior to the trip rather than a repeat of the same information that was in the tour book. For example, instead of saying "be prepared for a variety of weather," it would be helpful to report the average temperatures in various cities during the months of travel. Instead of just saying to wear sturdy, weatherproof shoes, perhaps explain the types of terrain that would be encountered a bit better. It would have been good to give an example of what most people wear on this trip vs say it is casual and wear comfortable clothes. Wearing sport slacks vs field pants or t-shirts vs polo shirts, or sweatshirts are okay vs wearing sweaters, etc.

All were nice and clean, but having air-conditioning or at least a room fan to circulate the air was needed in all but the last. Also, the European tubs and 1/2 shower doors are something to contend with.

We went to National Military Museum in Luxemburg which was fantastic.

They were all very good, but there was too much food.

The women on the phone were excellent, especially one whose name eludes me now. Very personable and friendly and was quick to return emails of phone calls! Very good service!!!

We knew enough and felt the rest would be forthcoming during the actual tour.

Rudy was an excellent guide and very personable. He made it a point to meet all of us one on one in the bus! Very nice man! Wish we had time to spend in his city of Bayeux, but due to the rules for the bus driver, we had to get back on the bus after eating.

Henri was great! We were a bit pinched for time....he really wanted to show us a few additional sights but for some reason we were not able to. Having someone who actually lived through The Battle of The Bulge and could tell us stories was fantastic. I made it a point to sit with he and his French-speaking wife at dinner that night. He was so nice: he walked me down to the post office in Bastogne, and made sure I knew how to get back to the hotel.

The guide was very passionate and even opinionated about certain issues, but he really knew his "stuff"! I would have liked it if he came to dinner with us, but instead he went to his place of residence in Munich.

FANTASTIC! This guide was also excellent and i loved that he took us to the sight where Hitler's main house had once stood.

I have never eaten so well and felt like a king. This was unbelievable!

For all the reasons I have previously stated. I hope I can join you for another tour, but this will be dependent on the dates that are offered.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Except for a couple of technical issues separating travelers in a family group- very satisfied. Issues were finally resolved and emails always answered promptly. Well done! The issue was software; trying to keep emails separate within a given travel group.

Extremely satisfied! Loved the "This day in history" and hope they keep coming; read every word. :)

Well done.

Especially appreciated seeing this!

Excellent!

Scholarship expected and delivered. Especially appreciated managers' attention to detail/timing, etc. And of course, that ever important business of making certain that travelers KNEW and WERE expected to be on the bus at such and such a time. I have been on tours where somehow the divas sensed they could get away with being late and were late ALWAYS. We were blessed that on our tour there were no such passengers. Divas can become annoying and a "Chinese water torture" in that such behavior becomes a distraction.

Excellent!

Met our expectations and then some--except for hotel in Caen--A very comprehensive tour; passionate and well informed guides; fun directors! Attention to detail. Think the group should be kept to 30- once we picked up the extras beginning the Holocaust tour, I think the dynamic changed somehow. Also....I WOULD SUGGEST MAKING THE LENGTH OF THE TOUR A FEW DAYS LONGER so that more time could be spent at the sites. That suggested, would very much recommend this tour and your company to anyone sincerely interested in learning more about the events which took place during that tragic time. For me, just to actually see and touch did it. Thank you, all! PDW

The tour was outstanding and as good or better than advertised. Charlie and Mary were very informative adjuncts to the experts at each of the sites. They were friendly and enjoyable to interact with during the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in an in-depth history of WW2.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I would have like to know the specifics of the daily itinerary sooner, in order to be a little bit more well read on some locations.

All of the hotels were very good. The locations of the Holland and Munich hotels could have been a little better perhaps. But the Munich hotel was right by the tube station so access to downtown was very easy. These were minor issues in both of these locations.

Rudy, Steve and Henri were all amazing! They were all very good. These three stood out.

I have seen comments about too much food. I disagree vehemently. I took my 20 year old son. He and I were very satisfied and did not feel at all that there was too much food. It was all excellent, however. It greatly surpassed my expectations in quality.

She was great. She was very through, approachable and helpful. Marietta was always pleasant and friendly.

Peter was AMAZING! I have been driven on buses in many countries including some of the most dangerous roads on the planet in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. He was the absolute best driver I have ever had the privilege of riding with. The wifi should have been fixed. Minor perhaps but if I had needed to do more work on this trip it would have been a killer. This does not need to happen to another group.

I would absolutely recommend Procom Tours.

7-day Battle of Britain review

It was an added bonus to see the Spitfires and Hurricanes practicing landing for the air show that weekend.

The dinners took a long time but the food was always good. I'm sure they're just a few kinks to sort out.

The bus driver was amazing! He got out bus out of some tight spots. He was a very skilled driver.

Overall, the tour went very well. The guides were very informative and well spoken. The locations we went to were very significant to the war, and it was incredible to be part of such a group that went to wonderful locations.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Cassie was our contact and provided excellent service. We had the opportunity to meet her toward the end of our tour.

We were hoping for more information about our fellow travelers. Only one page of profiles was provided. I expected everyone would have had their profile posted. other travel information was useful. Reading list was spot on.

The Mercure, in France, was outstanding and conveniently located within a short walk to town. we enjoyed an evening walk for a cup of cappuccino. The hotel, in Holland, severed the purpose for one night. We were happy not to stay there longer. Bastogne, again a short walk to the square which was nice. Munchen, nice but far from town.

Rushed. Should have let us out at Foy. Very much enjoyed the guides knowledge and fist hand accounts from his childhood. Well done at Bastogne Barracks.

Never got there due to special ceremony. We did getto the museum at Diekirch, which is outstanding.

Somber. Important to be there.

Excellent guide. Certainly adequate time provided.

Same guide and again excellent. Only suggestion is that the walking pace may need to adjust for the older folks as they could not keep up and dropped out of the walking tour.

Excellent spot, but very much an attraction now. Would have preferred a lunch stop in town rather than the guest house.

All guides are outstanding. Many thanks for arranging the time.

Outstanding meals. Much better than expected with the exception of the truck stop packaged lunch on the way to Munchen. The group was not informed of where we could sit to eat and my wife and I only discovered the area later. It was very sad to see the older folks sitting on a rock or curb. This needs to be better communicated or find an alternative.

Top rated tour firm. Only small constructive comments provided.

Beyond Band of Brothers provides a tour with a military history theme, but it is not a military history tour. We definitely enjoyed our time, but now need to return to get the missing detail. I would recommend the tour to anyone with that understanding. You provide an excellent tour, with great accommodations and meals covering a tremendous amount of territory and sites within the time provided. With a short ride into Austria to access the Autobahn, we went into six countries in 11 days. Wow!!

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Answered all questions about trip.

Nice hotel in Holland, just a litte far out from the main city center. Know that we were only there for a few hours. All breakfasts in each hotel were wonderful!

OUTSTANDING! Our guide, Rudy, was really impressive. Extremely knowledgable and great personality! Make sure you keep him around!

Yes, yes and yes! Again, Rudy made all of the difference!

Loved getting to see the foxhole at Bois Jacques. Henri, our tour guide was great and, having lived it, made it all the better. Seeing the town of Foy and then the Bastogne barracks highlighted the day.

We did not get to go to the Bastogne War Museum due to activities going on there. So we went to a museum "Musee National H'istoire Militaire in Luxemburg. This museum was top notch. Great subsitution. I would rate it 5 stars

Nice stopover and getting to see Patton's grave. Also, if you looked Sgt. Muck of the 101st Airborne is buried here also. Not sure if any other members of the Band of Brothers is here.

Sobering....Solemn place. Keith, our guide did a great job of explaining all to us about the concentration camps verses the death camps.

Another highlight of the trip. Our guide (cannot remember his name) was fantastic. Very knowledgable! Loved going to the top of the mountian and hiking a little around the area. Great weather was an added bonus! Food and beer at lodge was yummy!

As I read other reviews before I left, most negative comments were that there was too much food. I remember thinking that that was probably not true. Having done the tour now, can't believe how much food I consumed during the trip. Food selections were good and ample amount served. Best meal was probably in Holland. Great sea bass! With that being said, all meals were very enjoyable!

Marietta did an outstanding job controlling all of us and making sure that we were all there at the appointed times and places and didn't leave any of us behind! LOL. Keep her around. She is very knowledgable. Only one correction was that she was saying that the artillery at the crossroads was German, but if you go back and watch Band of Brothers or read the book, it talks about or shows that Winters called in an artillery strike to help with the 2 companys of SS. She was insistant that it was only German artillery. Loved her.

Peter was a magician at maneuvering the bus. Only negative comment was that the Wifi was broken when we got on the bus and was never fixed for the 10 days we were gone. Should have been taken care of someplace!

11-day Central Europe Remembrance review

All the hotels were great. The Corinthia was astounding.

Munich held quite a bit of history, but there were not many sites.

Our tour guide here (Kieth, I believe) was extremely knowledgeable and was able to make the camp tour feel like a completely different tour compared to our last time through.

Our Eagle's Nest guide was great, and was able to take us to lots of spots that most tourists wouldn't get to.

Steve and Kieth doing Eagle's Nest and Dachau respectively were the two greatest guides by far. When doing the Band of Brothers tour last year, we had Steve guide us in Dachau and it seemed a bit out of his wheelhouse.

All the meals were incredible. Great job!

Overall, having been on two Procom tours now, I have been extremely impressed with the service from the moment we start talking to a sales associate to the moment we get on our plane home.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Having visited Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, and Plaszow in 2009, I was surprised at how pristine the camp looked, the impression that was made visiting it. Completely different feel from what I experienced in Auschwitz. The guide seemed surprised when both my wife and I commented about this. Just might be the difference in presentation approach by the Germans versus the Poles.

All very very knowledgeable, personable, and very willing to share their stories and experiences, very willing to take questions. I especially like how our Normandy guide (sorry forgot his name!) took the time to meet with each person/couple individually.

Too much food! While the food was excellent, and the service nearly impeccable, there just was too much. No need to two large pieces of meat at lunch, for example. There were times when we thought what we had just been served was the main course, turned out it was simply the first course. The result was a lot of wasted food. Yes, the meals made a very good impression, and the locales where we ate were fabulous (except for the quick meals on the road at cafeterias), there just was too much. Yes, it is hard to complain when the food was so good but I was so full all of the time.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The Best Western had small number of staff and I had some difficulties with my room but its location close to the square was great.

To feel the history of Omaha was a once in a lifetime feeling. I felt that the German cemetary should not have been first stop on the tour. It should have been last on that location

Hold until relieved! I will always remember that feeling from the British Commander

Great to stand on ground that Capt Winters captured. Enjoyed the feeling of pride for what his platoon accomplished that day

Speakers were interesting, much of info was on various history shows.

I stood in a foxhole that was still there from the war. It was great to experience the feeling

A very important place to see the graves of the soldiers and learn the story of Gen Patten's grave. Lecturer was very knowledeable

I grew up in the 50's and watched many films of the holocaust. I visited the New York Holocaust museum but didn't feel ready to change my feelings of the sacrifices of our troops to the levels of degregation of the German soldier.

A fantastic site, should not be remembered with Hitler but it can't be changed

Rudy was very knowledgeable enjoyed his talks and personality extremely very much.

The food was plentiful and excellent.

I think Andrea did an excellent job on the tour. She was knowledgeable, lead the participants well, kept the tour focused and on time. Her personality and patience made this tour one of the best experiences I have had.

I would definitely recommend your tour.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

We were very satisfied with the information about the tour. Everything that gave us was good.

Having never been to Europe before, I had a little "culture shock" with the showers, but for the most part, the hotels were very good.

Awesome. It was a thrill of a lifetime to get to go there.

Great. I consider myself well read on the subject, and I learned a lot. I especially enjoyed Rudy, the local expert. I love being with people that are enthused about what they are doing, and he made this part of the trip, along with the rest of his presentation to us, very memorable

Great. Had no idea how big the port facility was at Arromanches was and really enjoyed the presentation on Juno Beach.

Great. This has always been a favorite subject for me, one of the great coupe de mains of the war. The museum was great. Especially the presentation by the member of the staff.

Great. Was a thrill to get there.

Henri was great. I would have liked to seen more of the battlefield here, but I realize there is only so much that can be done in a day. What we did see was great.

Very well done museum.

The member of the staff there that did the presentation to us was great. I am so impressed with the care that is given to the graves of the fallen at the two cemeteries that we went to. Very important part of the trip.

This was an important part of the tour and was well presented by the local expert. Very sobering.

Great view. Information was well presented by the local experts.

Rudy was super. I love people that are fired up about history. Jeanne was good, and gave great information. I wish we were able to spend more time with Henri, he was super. Steve in Germany was very knowledgeable.

No complaints. Food was overall was very good and well prepared.

Nandor made this trip a very enjoyable experience. He was very well educated on the war and the sites that we went to. There were no problems at all on this trip. Nandor made this a trip that I will always treasure in my memory.

If I ever start a bus company, I would want Mr. D to train my drivers. He was the best bus driver I have ever seen. Very skilled.

All our expectations were met. We had a great time.

The most important thing I found was that the trip was as advertised. The brochure you sent us matched up to what we experienced on the trip. I would recommend your tour because you delivered the experience that you put forth in your advertisement. No glitches, no problems, no promises broken.

Excellent. The local tour guide we had for our stay in Normandy was excellent.

Excellent. I was surprised by and appreciated the effort your group went to facilitate the visitor we had that was dressed up and played the role of an American Soldier.

Good stop. Beautiful little town. Enjoyed walking around here.

Excellent. Thought some of the displays in the museum were the best we saw anywhere.

Interesting but not much to see here.

The Holland segment of the trip was my least favorite. Could have skipped it as far as I was concerned.

Excellent, good local tour guide.

The speaker/presentation was the best of the entire tour.

Liked downtown Munich a lot. Wished we had been there other than a Sunday afternoon when the shops would have been open.

All very good. Much better than I expected traveling abroad.

Andrea did an excellent job in what has to be a difficult situation (trying to herd cats) and keep everybody happy.

Everything we hoped for. Have already recommended it to friends.

It may have been on the web site, but a more detailed itinerary of where we would be and on what days.

Great breakfasts at all hotels. They all were clean and quiet. I did not care for the wine offered at the Hotel Mercure--chilled red wine on tap?!

Guide was excellent.

Interesting, but not enough time to fully view. Guide was very interesting.

An improved tour would include seeing German vantage points. Henri was an excellent guide. Liked going through the barracks and seeing the tank exhibit.

The guide was excellent. Loved the maps showing the campaign in northern Europe.

What made this excellent was our guide, who showed us the offsite venues (SS barracks, and mass grave).

Interesting presentation that included photos of the various venues in the Nazi era (very effective presentation). Would have been nice to have more time to roam around town on own.

Beautiful scenery on the way to the Nest. Guide gave excellent behind scenes tour of tunnels and Nazi homes. Lunch in the nest was nice (glad we had to change to this venue)

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

The information that was sent to us before the trip was terrific. It really helped me prepare for this trip.

I felt well prepared for this trip.

The hotels were very nice. It was true what your pretrip information said--European hotel rooms are smaller that US. Everything was just wonderful--clean, efficient, and the hotel restaurants were excellent to me.

If I had done this trip on my own I don't think I would have covered what this trip covered. We were in bed by 10:00 p.m. every night exhausted and ready for the next day. Our Normandy expert, Rudy, was also excellent. Loved how he put faces and personal stories to the events of D-Day.

Same. Also the young Canadian at the museum at Juno was excellent.

Once again we moved in and out of the museum with great ease. Loved crossing the bridge.

Would have loved more time here. Jean was an excellent tour guide. Love hearing first-hand accounts of the events.

The weather was appropriate for a December battle. Henri was an excellent guide as he told us personal stories of Bastogne.

Patton is my favorite General. I was so happy to visit his grave.

We picked up Steve for this tour and once again he was excellent. He took us to places that would not have been on the ordinary tour. So much extra history of the place.

Here I would have liked more time. Maybe an extra day or half day for the Munich sights.

All were so knowledgeable about their subjects. Rudy made all the events so personable by telling us tales of individuals. Jeanne was so passionate about the liberation. Henri could give us first-hand accounts, and Steve was an encyclopedia when it came to Nazis.

I ate VERY well. The breakfasts at the hotels were beyond ample. The lunches were way more than I eat for lunch and extremely healthy. I marveled at the truck stops were we had lunch some days. I would love to see that kind of food in the US instead of McDonald's, Subway, and the like.

We had a new bus--terrific, lots of room, comfortable. Mr. D was terrific.

Everything was tops. I was very impressed with the running of the tour and how we were treated.

The tour was extremely well organized, well run, and fun. We had everything going for us--terrific tour manager, excellent local tour guides, nice hotels, great food, fabulous weather, and above all the group was terrific. Who wouldn't have had a good time.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Could have spent a bit less time at St. Mere Eglise - many folks were hanging around for the last half hour or so waiting for the bus.

Could have skipped Gold and Sword beaches for me.

Loved it!

Thought we spent too long there. Didn't need a "guided" tour. Would have preferred to look at things on my own.

I had been there before and thought our guide was way to wordy - he spent way to much time pontificating.

See comment for Dachau - too long.

Overall the tour was great! I love that everything was included. Have already recommended it based on itinerary, food and accomodations.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Unfortunately we were not able to work with a Procom travel consultant. All our booking was done by Frankenmuth Travel and was of poor quality. Rate one star for them. I would go directly to Procom in the future

Dutch docent was somewhat derogatory of American bombing of railroad stations and gave impression that it was totally unnecessary. He appeared to have a more arrogant presentation and demonstrated little appreciation for the liberation. The women tour guide who ended the program redeemed him.....she was passionate, personable, warm and grateful with compassion.

Excellent guide

High tech and beautiful choreography. Loved following the 4 different characters

Excellent guide. Passionate and extremely informative

German guide who's grandpa was SS was stuck on himself and somewhat abrasive. However, he was extremely informative, gave me opportunity to think about aspects I had never considered so I ended up appreciating his style

Very accomodating. Concerned for safety issues. Allowed flexibility. Invited commentary, but perhaps could have engaged the group more. She also never reiterated what other guides provided which was great. She also kept those guides moving based on the mood, physical abilities and needs of the group. She was gracious with a great command of English. I do think the bus could have been cleaned out in the evenings to start with fresh aisles, trash out of pockets etc. Maybe that is not her job to whip the bus driver into shape. Excellent humanitarian and emergency skills to take care of participant who broke both arms and work with his wife.

Absolutley would recommend and hope to book another. Thinking of the Italy tour. BUT would really love a Monuments Men tour of artwork stolen and recovered.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I was very pleased with the work Cassie Walters and ProCom did in helping us to set up our tour. All of the information was thorough. And when my brother-in -law, and I had questions, Cassie provided the answers we needed. I thought her work was efficient and pleasant. What's not to like on this tour - from beginning to end? As far as the tour itself was concerned, we rode on a new Mercedes bus with a completent, pleasant driver, accompanied by an excellent tour guide in the person of Andrea Bago. It was a fairly fast-paced, and specific tour, so we enjoyed seeing a lot of the WWII territory the 101st Airborne and 82nd Airborne and other Allied soldiers covered when they fought their desperate battles. I thought Cassie Walters and the ProCom travel set-up information were managed very well.

Very well satisfied! We certainly had questions as we began to commit to a travel plan, and I found Cassie was quite thorough, pleasant, and prompt in answering my questions.

Rudy, the local guide in the Bayeux region, and some of the research our own guide, Andrea Bago provided, helped with my interest in learning about St. Lo, which was not part of this 101st Airborne tour. They answered my questions. I think it might be especially helpful in the future to cover a couple of extra points, which were crucial in leaving the bocage region after the D-Day beach-head had been secured. The battle for St. Lo was hard fought; hence General Bradley's COBRA plan to break out of the hedgerown country. To have a few notes added on this important plan, which followed the invasion, including the bombing run at Falaise and along the Periers roadway would help to emphasize the progress needed and achieved as the allies moved forward. Obviously all of the interesting details about WWII cannot be covered on one 11-daiy tour.

We had excellent accommodations.

Top notch. It was here in Groesbeek where the former school teacher guide impressed me with her sincerity in talking about the gradtitude and appreciation the Dutch still extend to the Americans and their allies in bringing liberation from the German occupation. A somber time for them. I sensed her sincerity. Very well done.

Top notch and quite moving. An excellent Belgian gentleman guided us here. He was well informed on the history of the place.

Excellent and quite moving. I met a young woman and her husband there. She was searching for her decorated father's name, who had been a member of the 101st Airborne. His family name was Dundon, I believe. We were all eager to see General Patton's grave site, and we did.

This tour was managed well, but I think it's especially challening to see and to hear about. I found it uncomfortable, yet the caretakers here have done as much as they seem to be able to to make it less morbid. It's an awful story to hear about. Our local guide here was certainly knowledgeable, and he covered a lot of the basic details. I interrupted him at one point during his talk in the camp to ask him why there was so much anti-semitism. This is a key part of Dachau. For many of the incarcerated, they had to work to support the war effort, but many of the "prisoners" were considered "undesirables," so many of these the aim was extermination. Anti-semitism should be discussed in some depth during this tour. Hatred of Jews has been around for centuries, but for what specific reasons did this hatred take hold in pre-World War II Germany?

I think we all enjoyed are brief sojourn in Munich.

It was good to see, and it was good to take the bus ride to the top. But we were not allowed to enter the former dwelling place. Those rooms were off limits. I expected to go inside, which wasn't possible at this time.

I thought Andrea Bago and Rudy performed in an excellent manner. I felt very well served. Especially good, too, were the local museum guides in Holland and Belgium.

Always good. Try the Wienerschnitzel in the Weisses Brauhaus in Munich! The European breakfast spreads are always a treat, wherever I've been. In Amsterdam once I saw a strong young man consume 5 boiled eggs, a fun sight to see. The food displays were managed very well at our hotels on this tour.

Andrea and Cassie performed their duties in excellent fashion. Give them a raise in pay.

I thought Peter did an excellent job of driving our large, new Mercedes tour bus. He was adept at driving. He was also pleasant, quiet, and helpful.

Excellent!

In light of the aftermath of World War II and the many sacrifices, I was somewhat surprised this tour by the strong, persistent, sense of gratitude the Europeans still feel for the Americans, British, Canadian, and allied forces that brought liberation to the occupied countries. That's one of my best memories. I don't have any particular recommendations. One sees this, too, in the care devoted to the many plaques and monuments near to where battles actually occurred. This tour was managed well.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I anticipated the small rooms but not the dim lighting. The best was the hotel Rilano. Their food was outstanding and the rooms larger and better lighted.

The lady who was docent for my group gave a passionate speech about freedom at the end of the museum tour that lingers in my mind. When we reached Dachau I connected the dots!

I didn't know exactly what to expect there, i.e., in the Ardennes Forest. Of course the trees look much like those depicted in the HBO Band of Brothers video set but then we're told that these trees were replanted about 40 years ago. I'd like to see a photo of how the forest appeared prior to the replanting. How is it that they removed all the original trees without destroying the foxholes? I really didn't expect to see any remains of the foxholes after 70 years so there must have been some restoration on those too.

It was rather anticlimactic. There were nice views of the German Alps but I really expected to see more of the lavish facilities (for Hitler). I later learned that there was one room to see BUT YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT IF YOU DIDN'T GO INTO THE RESTAURANT.

The meals during the road days were Ok, everything else was good, especially the hotel Rilano food!

Andrea is an excellent tour manager. She was flexible when things didn't go on schedule, e.g., someone was late to the bus, and she attended to any special request. Andrea is a "keeper."

Peter is a very good driver and I always felt comfortable with his driving.

I wish the guides would quote statistics in American units, e.g., pounds and degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not familiar with metric measurements.

The tour was exactly as advertised, the step-on guides were excellent and our tour manager, Andrea, was outstanding. I also appreciate the up-front pricing, i.e., no surprise expenses and everything was covered with the tour price.

always a great and quick response

loved the tour book and loved the "MY Trip"

very happy with the hotel choices. I was concerned prior to the trip that the hotels would be lower end... But very happy with the results

Loved the tours of the tanks

This was by far the most impressive. we had perfect skies and was so glad this was the last stop on our tour. It was a fitting end.

Rudy was simply brilliant. He was an outstanding guide. He told stories and has a passion for the history. He was great.

Again... I was really surprised... the restaurants were all good. and the food was awesome.

WoW... Andrea was simply awesome. she kept everything going perfectly. even when issues came up she took care of them. and thru it all she was really nice and fun. she is OUTSTANDING.

Again... great staff and really nice bus. The Wi-Fi was a bit of a struggle as it was spotty. but nothing to really complain about

What a great experience from start to finish.

I think Procom far exceeded my expectations. I have never been on a Tour... and I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't like it due to the structure. But I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. thanks!!!

11-day Italian Campaign review

It would have been nice to have some details (summary or brief)that gave information about the places we would be stopping and touring. If the information could have been from the WWII historical point of what happened or took place that would have been helpful in documenting each site.

Because the group was small we could select our meal and also had the flexibilty to go to local restaurants. This was very nice. We had many choices and I thought the food was very good.

Nandor was an excellent host and guide. When we encountered the problem with the broken window he did everything he could to keep us on track all while dealing with the repair of the van. I felt in that situation he did an excellent job and never missed a beat regarding his duties to us and BOB. As a WWII historian he is very knowledgeable and he did a great job as our driver and host. He was always very positive, upbeat and most of all professional in his interaction with us.

This was my first tour and I can say I enjoyed everything. I know a lot of planning and preparation went into this tour and because of that everything went well. Each day was planned in such a way as you did not feel rushed or short changed because of trying to cover too much. I can only speak regarding Nandor as a guide and host since this was my first trip, but if your other guides are as good as Nandor then I can see why you have such good ratings. I would difinitely recommend your tours to others interested in touring WWII sites.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Hotel location in Rome was good. Breakfasts were always good.

The guides add a lot to the trip. The guy in Rome was incredible.....

The Mercedes was excellent. Nandor really handled the broken window fantastically as he didn't let it affect our trip at all. He went 'above and beyond' on this issue...he never showed how upset/frustrated he was...always kept his smile!

I leanred a lot about Hungary from Nandor...this was a bonus to my enjoyment of the trip. He was fantastic and I would love to tour with him again.

For a 'history' geek, this trip was fabulous. I was pleasantly surprised as to how much ancient history was included in the package....this was an unexpected bonus. I realize how difficult it is to find museums, statues, and rememberances of the war as Italy lost (unlike in France and Holland). Procom did a great job of finding interesting things for us to see.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

More information about the celebrations in Bastogne - they were great, despite the bad weather, which could not have really been foreseen.

Malmedy was very sad to me, and I did not know about the Black soldiers that were murdered there as well (though not at the same time), and Charlie showed us the memorials to both groups. In Bastogne, despite the wind, snow and rain, I enjoyed the museum, meeting some of the "Greatest Generation" and talking to them - and the parade, which even the King and Queen of Belgium attended. The reenactments were difficult to see in the bad weather, and everyone had to stand in snow, wet and slush. The next time there is some sort of historical program, there should be seats or bleachers, especially for the "Old Guys." Luxembourg is lovely, with castles, old buildings, nice shopping district, nice restaurants and a really nice Christmas Market. (Bastogne has a fun one as well.)I really liked Luxembourg a great deal and would not mind going there again!

The Luxembourg breakfasts were my favorites - though I ate very little at them. The other meals were good as well, even though sometimes I didn't always have my favorite things. However, we always had good food, nothing just thrown at us and we did not have to stop and eat at McDonald's or Burger King for a tour meal. I want to emphasize that even for a meal where we did not have a full choice, and the selections were limited, my meals were always well-prepared and tasty.

Our bus driver, Stefan, was an excellent driver who was concerned about our safety. He also was always cheerful and helpful. He worked well with Charlie.

I thought that the tour was well-run, and even though there were only 12 people on the tour, there were a few difficult participants who would become quite annoying. I think that Charlie did a very good job in handling them. Even though this was a small group, it seemed to break into two groups, which a few of us found highly unusual for such a small group. On the last tour, this did not happen. I would recommend this tour, or the other tour that I took, to any person who is interested in this area of history, That would be the focus of the tour, and the common interest that would bind the members of the group, at least for a start. I felt that the tour was very thorough and, if possible, tried to accommodate someone's special interest along the way, if it was relevant to the big picture.

8-day Battle of the Bulge review

Extremely satisfied. Charlie and Stefan were a great team.

The Hilton operation in Luxembourg was first class. The Frankfurt hotel room was tired and old, food was ok not great. I would recommend a new Frankfurt location.

Would like to have seen more in the Malmedy - Stavelot - Stourmont area but I know time was limited. Overall good agenda.

The personal attention by the American cemetery director was fantastic as well.

Nice selection of restaurants.

we lucked out with the Mercedes sprinter. More personal.

As promised and more.

very organized - helped me to prepare and calmed my concerns

The detailed itinerary was a tremendous help to prepare and keep my family tuned to our locations

Each was nice and clean -- food was very good--check in and check out were very easy

Prior to the trip, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. The trip was even better than I had hoped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Selection, quality and quantity were great. It was all so well organized

I have never felt so comfortable on a bus trip. The speed control was a true gift, and each drivers professionalism was very obvious. We even applauded a few times with they way they made it. through tight spaces.. The walking is especially enjoyable to me

Professionalism personified. They were always on the lookout for stragglers and did a real nice job of explaining itineraries and time schedules. We always left on time and rest areas were timed perfectly.

I have already told numerous people about the tour, and provided them with our itinerary and web site links

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Leanne answered all of my initial questions. Appreciated being given room list of tour in advance to check out before I made a decision. I also appreciated contact throughout year to make sure I had the right flight, current passport, and if I had any additional questions. Welcome packet was perfect, and group email of fellow travelers was nice touch.

All questions about trip were answered and provided by the time I left.

All hotels were quiet, clean, and roomy (especially for Europe). Although a couple were chains, they each had their own unique style to them. All breakfast buffets were amazing with local breads, cheeses, along with traditional breakfast items.

Amazing. I feel like I had about six separate vacations within the tour. My favorite stops were the Normandy Landing Beaches, Battle of the Bulge, and the little towns liberated in France.

Local guides were very informative and offered personal stories that gave a unique perspective from citizens who survived Nazi occupation to the accounts of soldiers who fought in the various battles. The guides were approachable for additional questions as well.

Just the right amount of food. It was served promptly upon arrival, was warm and fresh. I liked how most meals were specific to the area we visited. We usually had our own section to sit.

Bus was roomy and met my expectations for group travel. The drivers did an amazing job traveling on the narrow European roads. I was impressed how they vacuumed the bus while we went on tours. We walked a lot, which was good to burn off all the food I ate. People were given the option to spend more time in other areas if they did not wish to walk on longer guided tours.

All questions answered at each step of the process. While on the tour Steve and Tom checked in with me to see how I liked the tour, room, etc, and if I had any questions. I especially appreciated the help Tom, Steve, and the bus drivers provided me in finding my lost camera, which fell out at a tour stop. They quickly helped me resolve the issue..very impressed and grateful.

This tour exceeded my expectations, and I was able to see all of the major battles related to the Band of Brothers European Theater in WWII. This was a trip of a lifetime, and I could see doing this tour again in the next several years since there is so much to see and take in. I would recommend this tour to anyone that has an interest in WWII history, especially the European Theater, and of course, The Band of Brothers. It provides a perfect overview of all the major battles and you see and experience so much.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I was amazed at how nice the hotels and staff were.

The tour was non-stop. We weren't allowed to get bored. It was everything and more that I expected.

The guides were extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions and had pleasant attitudes toward even the most seemingly insignificant questions.

I never ate so much in my life! When the itinerary said we'd have lunch on the road when we were traveling, I assumed we'd pay extra, but no---it was included. The food in France was excellent. The only reason I gave Germany 4 stars is that there was a lot of meat and I don't each much meat.

The bus was extremely comfortable and the drivers stopped often. Some days, we walked a lot and I was concerned for some of the travelers, but they seemed to do fine.

I was so surprised and pleased with the professional service of Procom.

It was so unbelievable that Procom could offer so much for the price. I was very impressed with the quality of the hotels, food, and the large number of places we visited.

Very good choice on the hotels and the staff at each were very responsive

The local guides in Belgium and at the Luxembourg cemetery were outstanding. They alone were worth the trip. The other local guides were all excellent but these 2 were the best.

The meal we had the first night in France was the best of them all.

Very well planned out and the Procom guides were superb. The history was presented in such a way as to not be dry and text bookish. We saw a lot, learned a lot and had a lot of fun. With a group of 24 in our tour, this seemed to be a perfect size and was glad it was not larger. We traveled with a group that just seemed to enjoy each other. Made lots of memories and some new friends.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Felt like I was being advised by a good friend.

Received what I needed to know, when I needed to know it.

The hotel in Normandy was outstanding but Holland was number 1 favorite. Holland and Belgium I felt like a welcome guest. Belgium was my second favorite hotel. I would give it five star with exception of internet service. In Munich I felt like a bit unwelcome. My least favorite. It was clean and comfortable but meals and seating were chaotic and there was little to no internet solution unless we took the time to really research. Not a deal breaker but certainly my least favorite of the 4.

I want to do this entire tour again - was too much to absorb in 11 days. The only thing that could have made it better was another day or two to allow more free time in each location. Enjoyed the brief time after lunch at Gold(?) and more free time in Caen and Bastonge. Just was not enough time to sit at a cafe and enjoy being with the locals. Loved guides in Belgium (Henri) and Germany (Steve). Guide in France (Geoffrey/Jeffrey) was charming and knowledgeable but very difficult to follow his train of thought. Seemed to forget what he was talking about a lot.

See comments in previous sections. Our Procom tour directors/guides were outstanding and we very much enjoyed the on the road commentary as well as the times where they each guided.

Was fantastic to have so many different locations, types of restaurants. Even the Autobahn was fun - clearly the food less "special" but was good and a new experience. Loved meals/restaurats in Munich and Eagle's Nest. Did not care for food and more specifically service at the hotel. Loved Belgium both hotel and lunch in town. Normandy hotel was fine - nothing wrong but meals away from hotel were outstanding for both food and location.

Our bus drivers were the absolute best. I will always consider Janos and Louis as treasured traveling companions. They were professional always and when appropriate friendly. I left wishing I could speak Hungarian so I could personally tell them how much they were appreciated. I know the bus on our trip was a substitute from necessity. The screens could have been larger for enroute entertainment but that is minor. We were comfortable and safe. At Eagles Nest I knew I was safe with the venue drivers. Walking was fine. Some I could not do due to an injury but I was able to do more than I had thought I would be able to do.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Nikki, Leanne and Cassie were great to work with. The team answered all my questions and concerns. They made booking the trip easy and with no issues.

Very satisfied. It's probably SOP for the team, but I really liked the idea of Nikki sending out an "ice breaker" group introduction e-mail for the people taking the tour. Everyone seemed to know everyone when we finally met in person at Charles DeGaulle airport.

The Hotel Mercure Omaha and Best Western Hotel Melba accomodations were very nice. The room at the Hotel Golden Tulip Val Monte in Holland was okay. The staff at the Rilano Hotel München seemed a little overwhelmed on occassion. Especially the Food and Beverage staff while supporting the buffet.

All the sights and events met or exceeded my expectations.

Jeff in France and Steve in Germany were both very good. Anne in Holland and Henri in Belgium were the best. I could not help but feel the emotion of their life experiences during the Nazi occupation and actually invasion.

Meals were very good, if not great. Would like to see something besides chicken and pork though.

Personally I needed the exercise, Lol. But some of the older members of the group seem to struggle with the long walks and hikes. Thomas and Steve did everything possible to accomodate everyone's needs.

Great service and overall travel experience!

It was the trip of a life time for me. From the team in Kentucky to Thomas and Steve, it was the best group tour I have taken to date. You guys have set the "bar" really high for my expectations for other tours that I will take in the future.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Meals were all very good and Nandor was always checking to make sure we all had what we wanted and he would go out of his way to accommodate us. I really appreciated that because I personally wanted more variety in my meals, mainly more vegetables. If there was one thing I could change it would be to have more choice in what we had, especially for the evening meal where we would have more time. Understandably, time constraints would require that lunch would be limited to a set menu. I will say though that we did have the option of ordering what we wanted on a couple of occasions, and we were allowed as much alcohol beverage as we desired which was nice.

Ok, let me clarify that the female guide we had at the Abbey at Monte Cassino was awesome and I did not have a problem with her student videoing. However, I did not get one thing from our visit to the Museum in Cassino. The sound system was terrible and the museum guide was quiet dull and uninteresting to listen too. Time absolutely wasted. And again, don't waste valuable time driving down to see the Piana delle Orme Museum unless you have a lot of time. We were told we would be able to tour the museum despite them having had a fire the day before, instead we were met by rude people and due to their incompetence we were still unable to see the museum. Because of the time it took to go there, wait around for nothing and then return to Nettuno, we were left with only about an hour to spend at the Sicily-Rome American Cemetary. This was the biggest disappointment of the entire tour for me. I do have to acknowledge that Nandor made it possible for anyone who wanted to return to Nettuno the next day from Rome would be able to, but that left me with having to make the choice to give up also valuable free time in Rome. I choose to stay in Rome and this left me feeling like I did not get to experience the time I needed at the Cemetary to explore, pray for the dead and spend some quiet time there. It was however, a lovely experience having the veterans in our group get the opportunity to lower and fold the flags at closing. And...the Cemetery director was very gracious in allowing us to stay there a good 30 minutes past closing. So, let me just say that I believe most people would like to spend a good 2 to 3 hours there, easily.

For me, being able to talk with the Italian gentleman Christoph Ventura in Gelan and then again the Italian gentleman at San Pietro Infine was something you cannot put a price on nor rate because they were so special. Being able to spend time with these two wonderful men who lived through these experiences and see the pride and hear the passion in their voices will be with me forever and I really hope they and more like them will be around for future tours.

It was an amazing tour. I really had no expectations going in. Personally, I received more than I could have hoped for and I am very thankful and grateful to all of the people involved and all the people I met along this great journey. I would recommend this tour because of Nandor, Arpad, the guides, their knowledge and expertise and willingness to make this tour work out well for each and every one of us. Equally important, I recommend this tour because of the WWII journey you take when you travel this Italian Campaign.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Weather forecasts for area visiting

Not a single bad meal

With the exception of the Cassino guide all the guides were excellent

We got lost several times, but it appears everyone does in Italy

Easy to book. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

This is a new tour and I think it needs some more fine-tuning.

11-day Italian Campaign review

Most of the hotels were nice. Spotty internet service, except at the Cassino hotel

All meals very good. If anything maybe too much. It may be a good idea to have either pasta and a salad for the noon meal. The breakfast at the hotels had many choices and the dinner meals were also very good

All of the guides were top notch. Our guides in Rome and the Vatican were very knowledgeable. It made me realize that my background in art and history were lacking

All of the sights were very good. In the future you may eliminate two museums- the one that had the fire (rude people) and the museum that had the guide speaking in English over the Italian taped message. The sound quality was not good and I did not hear anything.

For the most part we used the Bus/Van and our driver Arpad was excellent.

Very good

Yes. Since several of the people on this tour have made trips with you in the past that should be a good recommendation in itself.

18-day Third Reich Combined review

The Third Reich sites walking tour was too much - may not want to try to see all sites in the middle of the marathon.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

I believe Andrea did a fine job

Excellent best bus trip I have ever taken.

I was looking forward to the tour like this for years. Best tour I ever taken on a bus. Andrea was heads above other guides. I was surprised to see 2 bus drivers. After seeing what they had to do as far as driving time and turning in out of tight places (sometimes the only room was the paint on the bus.) it made sense.

11-day Beyond Band of Brothers review

Professional throughout entire process.

Detailed and explicit. Left nothing to question before departure.

Holland and Belgium needed better cooling in summer months. Overall still great accommodations.

Everything we expected to see and more.

Guides and chaperones just added to overall great experience.
